The General was walking toward their direction.
Noah saw him coming and turned to Ivy, who was already growling low at the sight of him approaching, her wings half spread, every line of her body torn between standing her ground and the instinct telling her this wasn't her fight to be standing in.
"Go," Noah said. "Domain. Now."
She hesitated for exactly one second, looking past him at the Reaver still descending through the broken cloud cover, then folded her wings and let the violet portal swallow her whole, gone before the General had closed the last twenty meters between them.
He stopped in front of the group huddled behind the wreckage.
"Everyone stays clear," he said. His voice carried across the wind and the distant roar of burning debris without him raising it at all. "This is not a fight for support fire or covering positions. Pull back. Now."
