Third Person POV
Ellander.
...
...
'You need to come to us... You need to make a choice, child of destiny...'
'The future of the one you love most or a kingdom long lost, which may be restored, will be at stake. You will need to make a decision. Otherwise, the kingdom will remain destroyed... but you will also lose your greatest bond.'
Ciri suddenly found herself looking at Madara in a strange place. They were in a nursery, in a completely white room, well lit and decorated. While keeping her arm over his, the two approached the crib.
There they found a baby making small gestures, with black hair and equally black eyes. He opened his eyes when he saw them and soon began to laugh, making typical baby movements while looking at them.
"He is so beautiful, Madara...", Ciri said in a tone full of tenderness.
That was their son, the little baby born from a love that had existed since childhood — the son of the two most powerful people on the continent.
"He is growing strong and healthy, that is good...", Madara said, drawing Ciri's attention with a small smile of his.
It was something rare. He never failed to smile whenever he saw his son.
Ciri loved to see that smile appear on her husband's face every time he looked at their baby.
That was the baby she had felt pain to bring into the world. Even so, in the very moment she saw him, she felt that there was nothing more precious in the world.
She placed her hands on the crib and gently picked up the little boy, bringing him into her arms.
The boy immediately attacked her face and her hair, squeezing them with his tiny little hands.
Ciri laughed.
Before he could make more of a mess, she attacked him with kisses, making the baby laugh even louder.
Soon after, she felt her husband's hand touching the boy's little face and his head. The baby looked at Madara and then went back to laughing at Ciri.
She had never felt so happy and fulfilled in her entire life.
Not even when she was killing dozens of monsters at the same time.
Not even when she was making love with her husband.
No.
That was different.
That was love at the highest degree.
It was her family.
And there she felt complete, more than at any other moment of her life.
When she was younger, the mere idea of being a mother made her not want that at all. Now, in that moment, she realized how naïve and foolish she had been.
For her, there was nothing better than the feeling of holding her little baby with love, while seeing him in his contagious joy.
'You need to make a choice.'
A voice suddenly appeared. Ciri blinked.
And began to see her son disappear.
"No!" She screamed like a wounded animal.
Immediately she looked at Madara, searching for an answer.
But Madara was standing still.
'You need to come to us and make a decision. Choose between a bond of life... or a lost kingdom. If you do not come, everything you know will be destroyed.'
Ciri began to see Madara disappear as well. "Madara!", Ciri shouted, but it was already too late.
Both the baby and Madara disappeared. She was alone.
Suddenly, the entire room began to disappear as well.
Ciri felt frightened, overcome by a fear greater than the one she had felt when Cintra was destroyed and she had no other choice but to flee with Madara.
It was worse than the same fear she felt when Madara said he would leave her in Kaer Morhen and go away forever, after she herself had unjustly blamed him for the fall of Cintra.
That pain was worse than any blade in the heart, seeing everything she had built with her own hands be destroyed, it was worse than any other bad feeling she had ever experienced in her life.
Soon, she found herself desperate, crying, while her eyes began to glow.
'You have to come to us if you want to choose one of the two...', the voice continued.
"AH!" Suddenly, Ciri woke up with a start.
She felt a hand touching her, releasing a gentle energy.
Breathing heavily and sweating, she found herself in the middle of the bed, their bed... Her belly was still as big as before...
Madara was watching her with narrowed eyes, while applying healing chakra to her immediately to ensure there was no damage.
"Are you alright?", Madara asked in a serious tone.
Ciri looked at him full of questions.
Deep down, she felt something strange. Something worse than anything she had felt before, but she couldn't explain exactly what it was.
"I... think so. It was a nightmare, again...", she murmured, uncertain.
"Nightmare about what?", Madara asked with a serious face.
She tried to remember.
But she couldn't.
"I don't know," she finally replied. "I just know I've never felt like this before, Madara. Why is this happening now?" she whimpered.
It was not the first time she had nightmares. In the last few days, she had been tossing and turning during the night. Madara had already asked before, worried, but she never knew how to answer exactly what she had seen.
She would just wake up many times in despair.
But that one had been the worst of all.
"Let me try to enter your mind," Madara said immediately.
Ciri looked at him for a moment. She nodded without any hesitation. Her husband could see directly into her mind, she had never refused when it was necessary.
Madara activated his Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan and quickly passed through all of Ciri's mental defenses. Even the power of the Elder Blood tried to block him, but he entered easily, while he examined everything carefully.
However, he found nothing.
"This is strange... I can't see anything, only blurred images... That don't say anything or give any clue.", Madara murmured, frowning while examining her memories.
There was no trace of the dream.
"This is not normal." He watched her for a moment.
"Do you want to rest a little more?", he asked after a moment of silence.
Ciri shook her head. "No. I need to take a bath and get ready... In a few hours, it will be the middle of this morning! I want to be ready for our son."
Madara nodded at that.
The two took a bath and left the room, going to the kitchen, where Geralt, Yennefer, Mousesack, Triss, Tissaia and Nenneke were already present.
Tissaia would also stay there in case there was any complication with the chakra passing to Ciri.
She would be the best solution at that moment — especially now that Eira, the unicorn, was no longer there to cast her unicorn spells.
In any case, they joined the others. Ciri had put the nightmare aside and returned with a happy and cheerful expression. The joy for the child who was about to be born replaced any bad thoughts, and the group ended up becoming excited as well.
"So grandpa isn't coming?", Ciri asked, a little disappointed.
Vesemir had also been invited, but he did not want to leave Kaer Morhen and asked them to bring the baby to him, if possible.
Eskel and Lambert were also about to arrive at the castle. So it was good that someone stayed at Kaer Morhen, since the place had been greatly exposed after Madara and Ciri's presence at the conference between the kings.
Certainly, the School of the Wolf was now known by all the kingdoms of the North — and even those of the South, as allies of Madara and Cirilla — which brought certain risks and possible problems.
Ten days had already passed since the meeting.
Ciri and Madara had relaxed at the temple during that time. They no longer needed to worry about politics, listen to conversations to steal documents, or fight monsters and creatures that threatened the continent.
Now, they were just enjoying the final moments of the pregnancy.
Madara went to train a little with Geralt in the courtyard, while Ciri and the other women simply watched, gossiping.
"I can't wait to go back to doing all of this", Ciri grumbled.
She loved to grab a wooden sword and train.
The other women laughed.
But then something happened.
Suddenly, Ciri felt a warm liquid run down while she was still sitting.
"It's time", she said like a whisper, stunned, feeling the warmth descending like a small cascade.
"Quick! Let's take her to the bed!", Yennefer heard this and immediately stood up.
She shouted for Madara.
Madara and Geralt stopped fighting at the very same instant.
"Leave this to me", Madara said. He appeared beside Ciri in an instant and made her disappear together with him after grabbing her by the arms.
The next moment, she was already on the bed prepared for the birth. Madara placed her carefully, as if carrying a princess, gently adjusting her with the pillows in the best position behind her head.
"He is coming, my love. Our son is being born, and we already have a name for him!", Ciri said tenderly, grabbing her husband's arm.
As she spoke, they could already hear hurried footsteps approaching the room. They also heard a stressed Yennefer shouting for Nenneke to get ready.
The priestess, who was a kind of adoptive mother to Geralt, approached together with two other women from the temple. They immediately began examining Ciri and preparing everything for the birth. The sorceresses also cast diagnostic spells.
Madara placed his hand over Ciri's belly and began releasing chakra carefully to help her relax and reduce the pain.
The energy remained over her belly while it spread through her body without causing any damage. It was not pure chakra being transferred directly — he was only stimulating the natural healing of the human body.
Soon Ciri was surrounded by the women.
She began to push, squeezing Madara's arm with one hand while he kept the other hand over her belly, releasing energy.
"Stronger!", the midwives said.
Ciri listened to the instructions and pushed, even screaming as she forced herself.
She no longer knew how much time had passed.
But she continued.
Following every instruction they gave her, trying to do exactly as they asked.
She looked at her husband, gritting her teeth. She saw his heavy gaze on her, as if he were trying to relieve her pain, but she knew that pain was necessary, like any woman who was giving birth.
"It's almost there, princess!", someone shouted.
Ciri continued roaring with effort. Soon she began to feel her son starting to descend. She spent almost an hour for the rest of the baby's body to begin coming out.
She continued pushing, she continued screaming.
But, in any case, the screams were soon replaced by another sound.
The cry of a baby filled the entire room.
The women immediately looked at the child while wrapping him in a cloth.
Ciri's belly began to shrink quickly throughout the entire process, becoming flat again — still a little loose, but that would be resolved with time. Her body would soon recover completely and eliminate any useless residue left from the pregnancy.
Madara and Ciri remained staring. They watched the women clean the baby before changing the cloths, while the little one continued crying.
"I want to see him... please, let me see him", Ciri said. Her voice was no longer as strong as before, but there was a clear maternal desperation in it.
The women quickly brought the baby.
Yennefer and Triss were there beside them, watching with smiles on their faces, they were also emotional.
When the baby was placed in Ciri's arms, she immediately began examining him. Her eyes passed over the little body before returning to Madara, who continued staring at the newborn.
"Look, Madara... he is ours. Our baby." She said, shedding a few lines of tears.
She was emotional. She had never felt like this in her life...
"Yes..." Madara simply said, opening a smile before approaching her and giving her a kiss on the forehead. There was tenderness and even the Uchiha could not help but be moved by the arrival of a son.
His heir...
For the first time in this world, Madara was no longer alone regarding the Uchiha lineage.
He had his son...
"Let's call him Aren, Aren Uchiha." Madara made his voice resonate; he would be erasing the ancestral family name of Ciri... But the name Uchiha carried much more weight in this world.
The heir of the most powerful blood in the world.
"Aren Uchiha..." Ciri murmured. She did not seem bothered by the name replacing hers. "I like it... Our Aren." Ciri said with a smile while watching the boy still trying to open his black eyes in her arms.
-------
Raccoon here: I chose the name Aren. If anyone has a better one that fits both Uchiha and a medieval world, since the boy needs a proper name to be the heir of Cintra. Not something too much from the Naruto world.
