At first, Michael was a bit hesitant in allying himself with an Oscorpe. Perhaps he'd been thinking of her like Earl, but he didn't have a good impression with any of the Oscorpe inheritors as of now.
However, after meeting Caliburn and the other Lionhearts, he could immediately see that they weren't horrible people. Their hearts were only filled with one thing: swords. They didn't have any greed for anything else.
They were honorable people. And once this agreement between them becomes solid, then Michael would be able to confidently think of the Lionhearts as his allies. They wouldn't tarnish their honor by doing something that would hurt the Reborn company.
So, Caliburn endorsing Trilla must have been a truly good idea for Michael.
