“An assignment.”

“No. I woke up early today.”

Hwayeong, awake before dawn and working on an assignment—that alone was enough to make Sohwa’s blood run cold.
It was an impossible sight, something that simply should not exist.
Either a ghost had taken on Hwayeong’s form, or her mistress must have fallen gravely ill.
Jumping to conclusions, Sohwa rushed forward and pressed a hand to Hwayeong’s forehead.
“No fever....”
“What on earth are you doing?”
“Then—are you possessed?”

“There’s no other explanation! Milady, you would never sit and do assignments at this hour otherwise!”
