"Where am I?" Shin slowly stood up, rubbing his temples. His head was still spinning. One moment he was in the world of the Shinigami, the next, he had crossed over again.
"Where is everyone?"
"Unohana, Soi Fon, Bambietta, where are you?"
Shin called out. They had been together just a moment ago, preparing to travel to the next world.
"Jerk! How could you forget about me?" a familiar, teasing voice called out. A split second later, Shin felt a strange force rush toward him.
He dodged instantly, pulling his attacker into an embrace.
"Kushina! I could forget anyone, but never you." Shin laughed, pinching Kushina's cheek.
He knew that voice all too well. It was his Kushina.
"Hmph! Then why didn't you call my name just now?" Kushina's cheeks puffed out, a cute blush coloring her face.
In the dim light, Shin could see that Kushina was wearing an adorable bear onesie.
"I was sleeping at home, and suddenly there was a flash of light! I ended up here without knowing what was going on. Before I could even react, I heard you calling for other people, but not for me," Kushina grumbled, though her body betrayed her, instinctively leaning closer to Shin.
Shin gave an awkward laugh. He had been more familiar with the people from the world of the Shinigami, so he hadn't reacted immediately. But no matter what, no one could replace Kushina or Mikoto in his heart.
'Where are the women and loyal subordinates from the Bleach world? Weren't they supposed to come with me?'
"First, let's figure out where we are." Shin helped Kushina to her feet, pushed open the door, and stepped outside.
"Ah!" Kushina suddenly gasped, covering her mouth.
Before them was a scene straight out of hell.
Broken walls, burning houses, and bodies lying in pools of blood—it was like the end of the world.
"Is this another Shinobi World War?" Kushina was instantly reminded of the fall of the Land of Whirlpools, a nightmarish experience from her childhood that she still hadn't fully recovered from.
"No! The houses here are very modern, not like the mix of ancient and modern styles in the Naruto world." Shin stroked Kushina's hair, comforting her.
There were too many anime worlds that started with an apocalypse; he couldn't immediately pinpoint which one this was.
Vroom! Vroom!
Five or six military jeeps screeched to a halt, and over fifty heavily armed soldiers jumped out, surrounding Shin and Kushina.
"Who are you?" The leader was a burly man with a scarred face, aiming a submachine gun at Shin.
Shin and Kushina's attire—one in Shinigami robes, the other in shinobi gear—was completely out of place in this world.
"Officer, my wife and I are just passing through as tourists," Shin replied calmly. He could sense that these men were just ordinary people with guns; they posed no threat to them.
"Hahaha! Are you kidding me, kid?" The fat man sneered, looking at Shin as if he were a joke.
"The world is a hellscape right now. Anyone with money is trying to escape! Who the hell goes on vacation in a place like this?"
"Androids!" Shin suddenly remembered something and froze.
A bald man behind the leader sneered, "Sir, these two look like they have some valuable stuff on them. They're a couple of fat sheep. We can't beat the androids anyway! Why don't we just rob them and escape to the East Sea islands?"
The fat man grinned maliciously, raised his gun, and was about to open fire on Shin and Kushina.
"You're courting death!" Shin's eyes suddenly turned blood-red, his perfect three-tomoe Sharingan spinning to life.
"What's this?" The fat man was bewildered. A moment later, he lost consciousness and collapsed.
The remaining dozens of soldiers also fainted, losing all awareness.
Shin grabbed the fat man, placed his left hand on his head, and used the Yamanaka Clan's Mind Reading Jutsu.
"Androids! No. 17! Son Goku! Son Gohan!"
Shin's eyes gradually hardened. It really was the world of Dragon Ball.
"What's going on?" Kushina stood lazily behind Shin. She hadn't even bothered to act just now. She couldn't control her strength well; she might have accidentally killed these weaklings.
"It's another world... a world of true power." Shin took a deep breath.
The world of Naruto might be considered a powerhouse world, but compared to Dragon Ball—where late-game power levels reached the billions and planets were destroyed casually—it was in a different league. Even the strongest late-game characters in Naruto, the monsters of the Ōtsutsuki clan, couldn't just casually destroy the entire world.
They had arrived twenty years into the parallel timeline where Son Goku had died. The Z Fighters had been killed by the androids, and only Trunks was still alive. This was an era of despair.
'Androids 17 and 18 might be fodder in the later stages of Dragon Ball, but right now, they're the final bosses!'
Every time Shin traveled to a new world, his original energy would go through a long recovery period. For the sake of balance, he couldn't be sure he could defeat Androids 17 and 18, or the Cell behind them.
But he had to try. As a peak existence from the world of Naruto, the outcome of a fight against a mid-game boss from the world of Dragon Ball was still unknown.
"What are you thinking about?" Kushina asked, seeing Shin close his eyes in thought, a hint of worry in her voice as she placed a hand on his shoulder.
"Don't leave my side here. We're about to face some very powerful enemies." Shin held Kushina's hand tightly. He was worried her impulsive nature would lead to trouble.
VROOOOM!
The roar of a motorcycle approached. A medium-sized young man on a motorcycle stopped beside them. He looked at Shin and Kushina, his face filled with shock.
"You are?" Shin felt he looked very familiar, but he couldn't quite place him.
"Hmph!" The young man suddenly snorted heavily. The motorcycle exploded, and a vicious blast of energy shot from his body, heading straight for Shin and Kushina.
"..." Shin immediately grabbed Kushina and used the Flying Thunder God Technique.
He had already placed several markers as soon as he arrived in this world.
The blast of energy slammed into the ground, carving a deep fissure.
Shin and Kushina had already reappeared dozens of meters away, having dodged the attack.
"Androids! Don't think I won't recognize you just because you changed your appearance!" the young man roared. An endless power seemed to gather within him.
He shot into the sky, his hair rapidly turning gold, a brilliant golden light surrounding him.
"I get it now. This is Trunks!" Shin realized.
Trunks had mistaken them for androids.
