The First Generation Perrserker and Mightyena could swim, but for some unknown reason, they both fell into a deep slumber.

Thinking back now, it was very likely that the Lapras's singing had hypnotized them. When they woke up, what they saw was a vast archipelago, without the surrounding fog, just a gentle warm breeze.

Blue skies, white clouds, a blazing sun hanging high, an open view, and a pleasant climate.

As far as the eye could see, there were islands of all sizes.

The largest resembled a towering mountain, soaring into the clouds, its summit covered in snow and surrounded by mist. The smallest could barely accommodate one person standing, covered in moss.

Countless islands, lush and verdant, sunny, with lofty mountains and flowing water.

Truly a paradise on earth.

Not to mention the Pokémon on these islands, diverse and numerous.

In terms of size, they were also vastly different from the outside world. At least, that's what the First Generation Perrserker thought when it spotted a Dragonite resting by the rocks on a distant island.

An ordinary Dragonite is just over two meters tall! This one was at least twenty meters!

Nearly ten times the difference!

Just looking at it from afar made the First Generation Perrserker tremble, unable to face that giant creature directly.

"A giant Dragonite!"

Incineroar couldn't help but blurt out. This was something they had heard Li Xiang mention before.

Riolu quickly pushed it, and only then did Incineroar cover its mouth, not daring to interrupt the First Generation Perrserker's storytelling.

The story continued.

After arriving at this paradise, Slowking told them this was the interior of Misty Lake—the Misty Lake Archipelago, also called Misty Island.

It was a paradise for wild Pokémon, a secret realm completely isolated from human society.

With abundant food, a beautiful and diverse environment, no matter what type of Pokémon, they could find a place to live here. No longer needing to live outside, facing expulsion and plunder.

The Dean was quite puzzled. Since it was a place isolated from the human world, why was he, a human, allowed in?

Slowking told him it was because of Wisdom and Knowledge.

Wisdom and Knowledge appreciated his spirit of daring to fight for harmony between humans and Pokémon and his executive ability to gradually achieve it.

They specially invited the three of them to be guests.

"Wisdom and Knowledge".

Hearing this term for the second time made the Dean realize it was very likely not an abstract noun, but referred to a specific Pokémon.

So, he tried to ask Slowking what that Pokémon looked like, but was told that describing Wisdom and Knowledge by appearance was empty and shallow!

When it said this, Slowking became very irritable, as if its beliefs had been violated.

The Dean realized he had said something he shouldn't have and changed the subject, calming Slowking down.

He then asked if he could see it. If he could see it with his own eyes, he believed he would be able to discern its true identity.

But, Slowking said that Wisdom and Knowledge resided on Mirage Island, which appeared only once every countless days and nights. Usually, Wisdom and Knowledge communicated with them through consciousness in the Knowledge Museum.

Hearing this, the Dean understood that all the answers had to be uncovered from the Knowledge Museum.

Then, under Slowking's guidance, they headed to the Knowledge Museum...

Having said this, the First Generation Perrserker fell silent.

The air froze for over ten seconds.

Incineroar thought the First Generation Perrserker was just catching its breath, but after it caught its breath, it just stopped talking?

"Elder! What comes next!" It was somewhat anxious, feeling like something crucial had been cut off just at the climax.

"There is no next."

The First Generation Perrserker shook its head regretfully. "My memory only goes up to the point where we went to the Knowledge Museum. The rest is gone, and the same for Mightyena. When we came to, we were already back on the shore of Misty Lake."

'The memory was altered!'

The cat and dog's pupils suddenly constricted. They didn't expect such a thing to happen to the First Generation Perrserker!

Riolu asked, "Does the Dean know?"

"He might? After that day, the Dean disappeared for a week and went to the Ranger Union headquarters, without taking me or Mightyena."

The First Generation Perrserker took a puff of catnip. "After he returned, nothing happened, but the Rogue Gang came into being."

The Rogue Gang.

It was an organization of Pokémon living on the outskirts of Misty Lake. Their existence effectively reduced the possibility of boats capsizing on the lake.

Incineroar and Riolu were so frustrated they could spit blood. They were just getting to the important part, the Knowledge Museum, and then they got their memory altered!

'That's really despicable! If you're going to do it, why not delete everything! Leaving half is just mean!'

"That's all I know. I imagine this Knowledge Museum must be very important, otherwise, they wouldn't have deleted mine and Mightyena's memories."

The First Generation Perrserker sighed. "I hope these things can help you. And of course, I hope you won't spread them."

"...Okay."

The cat and dog said helplessly, feeling they hadn't gotten much useful information.

It didn't say how they entered, who Wisdom and Knowledge were, or what this Mirage Island was all about.

'What was all this! This is too much!'

Having obtained some information, Incineroar declined Absol's invitation to a celebratory banquet and, under its disappointed gaze, left with Riolu.

Before leaving, Luxray chased after them.

"Incineroar! Incineroar! Will you... come back?" The black-furred lion was somewhat shy.

After all, without the First Generation Perrserker's intervention, it would have become a Pokémon who broke its word.

Incineroar glanced at it and said, "I will, if I have time."

Although its goal was achieved, occasionally coming here to play would still be quite fun. Plus, it hadn't fought all the Pokémon here yet.

"That's great! See you next time!" Luxray was overjoyed. It was most afraid Incineroar would get angry and never come back.

The big tiger was now a fierce general in the Iron Cats Gang!

Among the other groups, who didn't feel three points of fear when hearing Incineroar's name?

What was the reason for this?

It was because it dared to fight! Dared to struggle! And had many brothers!

It was hard to imagine that a Pokémon living under humans could be even more ferocious than those growing up in the wild—fighting at the drop of a hat, without a word of nonsense.

Even the dogs of the Savage Hounds Gang had to greet Incineroar when they met it, respectfully saying "Brother Incineroar."

Otherwise, they'd be taken straight to the arena. If they lost, their father would come, if their father lost, their grandfather would come, if their grandfather lost, their great-grandfather would come!

In short, when you see Incineroar, you have to greet it. If you lose a fight, you have to say "Thank you, Brother Incineroar, for going easy on me." Otherwise, you're in for a rough time!

The other high-ranking officers all admired Incineroar's strength. Even the young master Absol secretly had some thoughts about this terrifying big tiger.

But unfortunately, the young tiger was still young and didn't get it. It was just as stubborn as its trainer, completely oblivious to romantic settings.

The cat and dog departed.

Greninja followed silently behind, somewhat regretting that there hadn't been a fight today.

Its role as a firefighter hadn't been needed. Otherwise, it could have claimed credit from Li Xiang.

...

Back at the villa.

The three Pokémon first cleaned off the dust and dirt outside before entering the house.

They hurriedly pulled Li Xiang down from where he was sitting on Metagross's head, playing a racing game with it.

"Hey hey hey! What are you doing?!"

Li Xiang felt like the controller cord was about to be pulled out and quickly stopped the three unruly ones.

"What's wrong? What happened? Did you get into a fight with someone's Pokémon?"

He stood up, looking suspiciously at the three Pokémon, but what greeted him was a language storm from the three Pokémon.

They were all talking at once, chattering away—meows and barks—and he couldn't understand a thing. It made Li Xiang extremely annoyed.

In the end, he gave each of them a flick on the forehead, which finally calmed them down.

Metagross, who had been furious about the interrupted game, instantly calmed down and obediently used its claws to control the controller, with an expression of "nothing to do with me."

Rotom curiously emerged from the computer and integrated into Li Xiang's phone.

"If you have something to say, say it outside, one at a time!"

Li Xiang glared at them, picked up his phone, and went to the living room. "Incineroar first—you two wait!"

Cutting off Riolu and Greninja's hesitant gestures, Li Xiang, with Incineroar beaming, poured himself a drink, sat on the sofa, and listened to it talk.

Rotom provided simultaneous interpretation.

After a while, watching Incineroar's animated performance, Li Xiang's expression grew increasingly strange.

Iron Cats Gang? Savage Hounds Gang? Senior's dog? Unifying the underground forces?

'What is all this! Are Pokémon starting to get into organized crime now?'

But after hearing about the Conservation Base and the work of these groups, Li Xiang's expression gradually relaxed.

Yes.

Using wild Pokémon to manage wild Pokémon is a basic principle.

Qingcheng doesn't have this because it's not as big as Mist City, and as a highly modernized commercial city, the number of wild Pokémon there isn't as high as in Mist City.

The Qingcheng Conservation Base alone is enough to manage them. Not to mention that every mountain in Yuzhou has rangers working to regulate the wild Pokémon.

Halfway through, Li Xiang interrupted Incineroar and gave Riolu a chance to speak.

Riolu was overjoyed. It kicked Incineroar, who was refusing to leave and seemed intent on interrupting, and then talked incessantly.

This included matters about the leader of the Iron Cats Gang, Houndoom's treacherous behavior, the strength of members from various groups, and that Galarian Meowth which got struck by lightning upon seeing the big cat.

"A Galarian Meowth got struck by lightning and mastered the power of lightning?"

Li Xiang was stunned. It felt like he was listening to a fantasy novel, but he quickly realized that the so-called power of lightning was just Thunderbolt and Thunder.

At most, the power was a bit higher. He was more concerned about the big cat the Galarian Meowth had seen.

Traveling on a rainy night, with lightning and thunder... could it be Raikou? Zeraora?

It might not necessarily be another feline Pokémon; many Pokémon can learn Thunderbolt.

After hearing all this, it was finally Greninja's turn.

Just as Riolu was about to talk about Misty Lake, it was suddenly interrupted, and it looked at Greninja with disbelief.

"Ninja! ja ja ja ja ja ja!"

Greninja laughed triumphantly. It had found a treasure without even looking for it!

All the credit is mine now!

"Alright, stop showing off. Spit it out."

Li Xiang was somewhat helpless. These Pokémon were really unreliable.

"Ninja."

'Move, move, stop chattering here and make way for your bro Greninja.'

Greninja walked up to Li Xiang, waved its little hand dismissively at Riolu, and looked impatient.

"Riolu!"

'You! Just you wait!'

Riolu shot a resentful glance at Greninja and sat on the sidelines, sulking.

Then, Greninja, using a lively and rhythmic tone, recounted the events of Misty Lake.

It had originally thought Li Xiang would stand up, praise it profusely, and give it a few kisses on the face. Then it could act like this was all just its duty, no need for such intimacy. 'This frog also needs to save face, so please, trainer, restrain yourself.'

Unexpectedly, after hearing everything, Li Xiang fell into deep thought, like a stone statue.

Greninja was puzzled. It went up and poked him, but there was no reaction. It had no choice but to dejectedly wait nearby.

'Praise? Kisses? Is there nothing?'

The other two Pokémon were also somewhat disappointed. They had worked so hard and got no feedback.

After a long while, Li Xiang suddenly stood up and exclaimed in surprise: "Uxie!"
