By the time the castle had quieted down after dinner and when everyone played around after with Marie's new video game, Lisa guided him back toward his room. The torchlight flickered over her beautiful pale features.
Logan knew it was due to the light spirit's influence; just like his hair had turned from chocolate to dark black with white highlights, with the new blessing of the wind spirit, tips of his hair even showed a few green parts.
As they went inside, Logan eased into the large sofa near his bed, his chest still tight from the day's strain. Kryst had withdrawn earlier just before they ate, so she was not around, leaving only Lisa and him within the large room.
Lisa remained standing, arms crossed, her eyes sharp while glaring at him.
"You promised me you would rest after I healed you," she began, her voice low but firm. "And yet, the moment I turned my back, you forced yourself to move… Why do you think we are trying hard to get stronger, Logan?"
