Blackfire sprayed blackbolt energy with light bolts at Kyla-el, which sent Kyla-el flying, the effect reducing the rest of the planet to space dust.
"Hahaha…" Blackfire chuckled as she appeared in front of the air-borne goddess and launched a light and black bolt power-packed punch to Kyla-el's gut, making a decent arc-sized hole in her torso, causing Kyla-el's glowing eyes to widen in pain.
"*Cough* Fuck!" Kyla-el uttered, coughing out liquid energy instead of mortal blood. She knew Blackfire was not her match, but she wasn't expecting the gap to be this much.
Another punch to Kyla-el's face sent her flying further away again with insane speeds as stars blurred in her vision. This time, half her head was gone. She was barely given time to recover as her forced flight was stopped suddenly.
Two white and dark circles were above and below her. Blackfire was a good distance from her as she held her hand out as if to say stop.
"I think you already know by now that we are worlds apart. Now, tell me… no. RRRRRRAAAAAAAVVVVVVEENENNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!" Blackfire screamed out loud, the sound of her voice carried through the life force energy she wielded in outer space and permeated loudly through Kyla-el's mind, causing Kyla-el to lose consciousness for a while.
"That's weird. She should have some sort of connection to you to know what I am doing to her bitch." Blackfire said as she squeezed her palm. Light and dark pillars of energy filled the circles above and below Kyla-el, forming a cylindrical death beam. She was already briefed on what might have been Raven's current condition but didn't believe the story much.
She wanted to deal with Raven and her harem as painfully as possible for turning her world upside down, for taking her world from her, her rightful position as Queen, for making her own people go against her, for her being hunted down for what felt like forever, for her having to adapt to multiple ambushes and gang-ups from Raven devotees. Now was a chance to take some of that anger on one of Raven's women.
What remained was still Kyla-el.
Her Avatar came in a clutch again and took the brunt of the damage, as only the shell remained, a light-encased version of Kyla-el's avatar torso that began to crack.
"Hmm, that again? That's a rather neat trick you got—bleurgh." Blackfire's voice carried through in Kyla-el's head finding Kyla-el's construct rather interesting till she coughed and bled from her nose.
"What?" Blackfire uttered in surprise as her wound healed rather quickly. But calling the damage she had received a wound would be underestimating what she had just been dealt. It was rather confusing as Blackfire checked herself for an attack that might have been too fast for her to read from the Kryptonian.
Kyla-el's motherbox began to aid Kyla-el's divine healing prowess as Kyla-el returned to full health in an instant.
But Kyla-el wasn't too happy about it. The spell she prepared right before Blackfire attacked her on what used to be a desolate planet, was a spell she cast on herself. The spell would activate on the condition that the user does not have a mortal body, on the condition that the user's soul is more than a million strong, and lastly, that the user can at least bear the brunt of their enemy's attacks.
Kyla-el had fulfilled all conditions, no problem. She watched Blackfire bleed again from her nose and heal again in confusion.
Two seconds.
That was too much time to be careless in combat.
With that, Kyla-el's avatar recovered and grew to full size dwarfing nearby planets to the size of medicinal pills at her feet as she began weaving hand signs.
Immediately, Blackfire came out of her confusion as she began to sense something ominous but something that she also had a connection to. This connection didn't exist prior to her becoming a white lantern. Well, it's not necessarily a connection but something like a promised eternal altercation with it. She backed away as she looked up at the colossal Kyla-el.
She could match Kyla-el in size with her newly acquired abilities but she waited to see what every part of her body wanted to attack greatly.
"What you are doing… do you even know the consequences of using it???" Blackfire telepathically asked for Kyla-el.
"I haven't even completed it yet and you can tell? Be honoured that I have to go this far and use something like this just because of you!" Kyla-el replied as her Avatar wore the biggest grin in the universe on its face.
'I'd advise against this but knowing your opponent so far… she won't let you live even if you surrender.' Kyla-el's motherbox sounded like it was in pain just to see what Kyla-el had to put herself through.
'And that's not mentioning what she would do to me if she captured me alive before then. It was nice knowing you Stacy. You still have the rest of the data I have collected right? Just make sure it gets to the victor and help him, please.' Kyla-el replied as if steeling herself for something fatal and final.
'You don't always call me by the name you gave me. Kyla…' Stacy hummed softly.
The space around Kyla-el's colossal avatar and Blackfire cracked and shook as some red ancient writings flashed below the avatar's feet and groans of the dead erupted from a giant crack in space.
From the cracked space below Kyla-el's avatar, a dark sword half the size of the avatar rose hilt-first.
Stacy wasn't feeling good about this at all, neither was Blackfire. She had this rage building within just at the sight of that dark sword.
'Is this one of the effects of being a white lantern? Is that thing my natural enemy? Its origin just screams 'against life'. What could be the opposite of life? Death. What could be the opposite of a white lantern? No way… wasn't that just a myth amongst the lanterns…' Blackfire thought to herself as realization slowly dawned on her. As much as she committed the genocide of lanterns from various corps, regular meetings like that not only ensured one party was getting put to eternal rest repeatedly, but also dialogues and information were exchanged.
Kyla-el grabbed the sword as Blackfire immediately increased her size to match her opponent.
But Kyla-el immediately stabbed her avatar in the stomach with the sword, halting Blackfire's next move.
"What are you doing?" Blackfire asked suspiciously, fearing the worst, fearing the unknown.
"To use the sword of… it's no use saying his name now anyway. Blergh! *cough*… It… *cough*… will all be over soon." Kyla-el's words carried through thought communication as her avatar began to turn black as if being plagued by the colour till nothing remained of the Avatar.
SWOOSH!
Blackfire reacted just at the nick of time to return to her original size to dodge the sword. From the slash came a wave of death!
Kyla-el returned to size just after her Avatar had perished under the effects of her action. Her eyes were black, and the aura around her was too.
"That energy!!! Do you know what you are doing to your body and soul??" Blackfire words bounced around in Kyla-el's head as fear and anger filled her mind, she could feel the danger emanating from that sword as her sworn enemy.
"Tch! Do you know what you are doing to your divinity and immortality now?" Blackfire telepathically asked again as she dodged another slash and kick from Kyla-el and countered with a black and white bolt beam which Kyla-el cut through with ease.
'This makes things… better.' Kyla-el thought as she could now go on the offensive for the first time in a long while in this fight.
'Kyla… the longer you keep using this sword…' Stacy added with worry in her voice.
Who can take a guess at what that energy was, that Blackfire was referring to?
