"May I please have one scoop of the pistachio ice cream, salted caramel, maybe the strawberry and vanilla as well then the pretzel and peanut butter? In fact just give me the whole tub," Benecio half leaned onto the counter as the frazzled looking teenager tried to keep up with his order.
His Texas drawl made "pretzel" sound like three syllables.
"Stop teasing her," I laughed as I rested my hand on his back and hugged his arm. "He'll just have one scoop of everything he ordered please, with extra chocolate chips and cream."
"Aw babe, you've learned my order so fast," he cooed and gave me a small kiss right there at the counter. Nearly made the girl swallow her tongue. I didn't know why he was in such a great mood. But I guessed after playing like that, I would be too.
"You know there were scouts in the stadium today," he said as he paid and carried our ice cream to our favorite corner booth. The one furthest from the door. He barely fit in it.
