She was aware that learning under Lady June meant following her instructions, something the contract she had agreed to seemed to uphold. But there was no way she would help her kill Cain. Heck, she was still in love with him.
"Fine by me! You can stand by while I do it," Lady June responded, taking off the veil covering her head and tossing it to the ground as she moved to sit on a soft lounging chair.
Her eyes slowly turned back to their original violet color as she ran a hand through her black hair. She looked elegant. Her skin was young and soft, and no one would think she was any older than Violet herself.
