Kaylynn grimaced, helping all of the wounded Beast-kin up the side of the crater.
"We don't have a lot of time... And I'm going to be completely useless in this fight..." Gemini muttered, unable to meet Kaylynn's eyes.
"It will be fine. As long as we can back up the heavy hitters... They can win this." She took a deep breath, before halting as something was caught in the corner of her eyes.
"Damn it all!" Justin cursed, watching as several enemy soldiers began to slide down the opposite side of the colossal crater.
Luke cursed, spitting at the ground before donning his crossbows, and exhaling a crimson energy as he began towards the battle.
"What the hell does he think he's gonna do?" Equan asked, completely dumbfounded.
"Yo! Jpice! Catch..." Brody flashed a grin, throwing a heavy bottle down from one of the ledges above.
Justin tilted his head, quickly catching the bottle with a grunt.
"Drink." Demanded Jacob who had appeared out of nowhere, drawing two daggers from the sheathes strapped over the weighted chains on his ankles.
Justin looked down at the bottle in his hands, confused at first before coming to a vastly important realization.
"It will thin my blood..." Justin smiled, cracking the bottle's cap and downing the entire thing in one fast painful gulp...
"Gods!" He screamed, his knees nearly buckling as he gagged and coughed.
Kaylynn now wore a very similar look as Equan, completely in awe of the schemes they could not understand...
Gemini; however, had already vanished... Heading towards the battle in a sprint... With several contraptions dangling and bobbling in his arms...
...
Hans ducked, feeling the weight of his injuries as Vex had instantly turned on him after his third partied attack.
Or more so... Hans had interfered with Vex's attempt to kill Chase in one hit...
But...
Vex fully twisted his body, his helmet mangled with violent green flames... Slowly severing the bondage of alloys carved from unknown origins...
A singular eye appeared beyond the flames... An eye burning bright blue with swirls of dark indigo... But what brought Hans great confusion... Was the void at the center of the eye... Or better put: The lack of a true center...
BOOOOOOM!
Hans felt his shoulder collapse as what could have been hundreds of tons worth of rock shielding him: Shattered... In an instant...
His eyes widened behind his broken dismantled helmet, as Vex's savage eyes lit up with glee... Beyond all of the debris and strange indigo energy that seemed to be originating from somewhere beyond Vex's body... His arm shot through all defenses... Grabbing Hans by the back of his head.
"Die!"
Before Hans knew it, his head was cemented into the ground below with a deafening blast in wake...
With huffs of smoke rhythmically leaving the mauled corner of Vex's helm...
He was overtaken by a sort of anger...
"No..." He growled, causing the entire battlefield to stand still for but a second.
A pair of eyes met under the moon's curtain... Green and blue clashed for but a second...
"I... Want... This... One..." Vex salivated, his head hovering up and down as he pressed Hans' head further into the ground below...
Chase pulled himself from the debris... Falling onto his knees and meeting Vex's gaze...
He had taken several glances around at first, that was before checking his body and assessing just how bad the current injuries were...
"Shit..." He muttered, still grateful that the black markings had not vanished from his skin yet...
Otherwise...
Deep inside of Chase's soul...
A violent flood had begun to rage... Breaking through every defense of logic imaginable... Leaving all hope only to a singular dam...
Layla looked up in horror as that dam shook and quaked under the force of something that should not have yet been possible...
"The third seal..." Her physical body shuttered in the presence of the council...
"Spit it out." Zephyr growled, his hand slamming against the long table in the heart of the underworld...
"He's... Trying to force the third seal open... I- I'm afraid I do not know how..." Her voice wavered...
"Yay! Does this mean that those lousy old hags were wrong after all?" Lillian giggled as she tried to strangle Tenko the Serpent with a vicious hug. Despite the fact that she was about ten times smaller than the serpent.
Never the less, Tenko fell to her whims... After all. That little girl...
"No..." Zephyr growled, looking at a shadowy figure in the room with no emotion but pure rage...
"What boss? Gods forbid a Devil narrate..." The intangible figure threw up his arms in defeat, knowing full well that the king of Devils would not respond kindly to his antics...
"Can we please address the present crisis...?" Asked the young woman with antler-like horns and bright blue hair.
"Fate says that all will work out... So, why should we actually step in? Please do enlighten me and those who agree..." A prideful and deep voice called out from the far corner of the table.
Dorian mumbled, tugging on the corner of his lavish coat... "Why are all of these fools here?" He asked, pulling a dice from his pocket and flicking it onto the table...
"Big brother is going to evolve again." Lillian nodded with a grin.
"No, this is far worse than that. If the Fatis Dominus succeeds in prematurely breaking lady Lilith's third seal... He would activate an ability that cannot be known to the world yet... And in doing so... Would wake The Ones Who Watch..."
A good portion of the attendees frowned at the long-blonde-haired woman with crimson thorns wrapped around her head...
A man next to her nodded slowly.
"This is true... If the Three decide something is set in stone... Then even The One Who Governs Time himself could not interfere..." He agreed with shaggy black hair and a tall and well-postured figure.
"How do we stop it?" Asked a young boy with deep crimson hair and multiple brandings engraved by flame on his face...
"I disagree... We don't need to interfere... Or do you lack trust in the Fatis Dominus...? And if that... Do you lack trust in The Great Mother herself...?" Smiled the mage with eyes of colors that defied all reason...
"Then indeed... We shall wait... And see what happens..." Zephyr said slowly... Drawing all eyes on him.
The thorny woman smiled.
"I see... I actually second this then..." And so the council would wait... Hoping that The Vex of Seh Jenah did not awake something far beyond his comprehension...
