After waving goodbye to his family and friends, Asta returned to the spot where Goku and Whis were waiting for him.
"Asta-san, please touch me. We will first go to Lord Beerus's planet. After that, Goku will take you to his home planet," Whis said.
Asta nodded and placed his hand on Whis along with Goku. In an instant, they began traveling through space. Asta was completely speechless as he watched the stars and planets streak by. He had never imagined leaving his village, let alone traveling through space. A few minutes later, they arrived at Beerus's planet.
Asta stood in awe. This was the first time he had ever left Hage Village, and now he was standing on another planet the home of a God of Destruction. The planet was calm and beautiful, filled with colorful flowers, crystal-clear lakes, a giant tree, and a majestic castle.
"Asta-san, welcome to the planet where our universe's God of Destruction resides," Whis said with a gentle smile.
"Whis, before I start training him, I need some weighted clothes for the kid," Goku asked.
Whis handed Goku a small box containing the training clothes.
"Tomorrow we'll begin training. For now, touch my shoulder. We're heading to my planet," Goku said.
Asta touched Goku's shoulder and waved goodbye to Whis. With a quick use of Instant Transmission, they instantly appeared near Goku's house. Asta's eyes widened in excitement.
"Master! What was that technique?! Can I learn it too? How did we get here in just a second?!" Asta asked, practically bouncing.
"That's my Instant Transmission. I learned it on another planet. I'll teach you after you master spirit control," Goku replied with a grin.
"Now, let me introduce you to my family. Training starts tomorrow," Goku said as he led Asta inside the house.
Two figures greeted them warmly.
"Hmm? Goku, you brought a guest. What's your name, boy?" Chi-Chi asked.
"My name is Asta! I'm Master Goku's new student. Nice to meet you!" Asta shouted enthusiastically while bowing deeply.
"Oh, Goku taking a student is new, but I'm happy about it. Come in, everyone! Dinner is ready," Chi-Chi said cheerfully.
They all sat down to eat. Goten asked Asta many questions, which he answered excitedly. Asta was amazed by the huge amount of food and the variety of dishes. As he ate, tears suddenly rolled down his cheeks.
"Why are you crying, Asta? Is the food not good?" Chi-Chi asked with concern.
"No, it's delicious! This is the first time I've eaten food like this. I'm an orphan who was raised in a church, so this is all new to me," Asta said with a bright smile.
"Oh, don't worry. You'll find a nice girl when you grow up, just like Goku did. Just don't be as dense as him when it comes to noticing feelings," Chi-Chi said.
"After I become the Wizard King, I'm going to marry Sister Lily!" Asta declared loudly.
Chi-Chi stared at him with a blank "What the…?" expression. Goku and Goten slowly scooted away.
"Asta, do you realize nuns are women of the cloth and don't get married? Where did you even get this idea?" Chi-Chi asked.
"When I was five, I saw Sister Lily use magic. That's why I wanted to marry her," Asta answered innocently.
A vein popped on Chi-Chi's forehead. Goku and Goten moved even farther away.
"You dumb kid! She technically raised you like a mother! You're even denser than Goku!" Chi-Chi shouted, accidentally smashing the table in anger. Asta gulped in fear.
"Listen, kid. She raised you like her own child. Why would you want to marry a mother figure?" Chi-Chi said firmly.
Her words hit Asta like lightning. He realized how wrong he had been this whole time and felt deeply ashamed. Seeing his reaction, Chi-Chi softened and walked over to him.
"You're just like Goku. It took him a long time to realize his promise to marry me. Don't be ashamed. Just make her proud and find your true love one day," Chi-Chi said kindly.
Asta nodded, feeling better.
After dinner, everyone went to sleep. Even in his dreams, Asta had only one goal: to become the strongest in the universe. He was ready to face any challenge even death.
The next morning, Goku took Asta to an open field to begin training.
"Before I teach you about ki, I want to start with martial arts," Goku said.
"What kind of technique is that, Master?" Asta asked.
"It's the art of fighting using only your hands and legs. This is the foundation of everything you'll learn here," Goku explained.
Goku demonstrated the proper fighting stance and how to move his body during combat. Asta was amazed this was completely new to him. No one on his planet fought this way.
Asta took a deep breath and began copying the movements. To Goku's surprise, Asta picked up the style extremely quickly and was soon moving fast, keeping up with Goku's pace.
"Not bad at all," Goku thought with a smile. "Come on, Asta. We need to visit a friend to take your training up a notch."
Goku brought Asta to Kami's Lookout, where Piccolo was meditating, Dende was tending to the plants, and Mr. Popo was gardening.
Goku's arrival woke Piccolo, and Asta immediately caught everyone's attention.
"It's good to see you again, Goku. What brings you here? And who is this young man?" Dende asked.
"He's my new student. I came to ask Piccolo for a favor," Goku said.
Piccolo walked over. "What kind of help does the strongest warrior in the universe need from me?"
"I don't need help for myself. I want you to make weighted clothes for him so his training will be even harder," Goku explained, scratching the back of his head.
"Fine, I'll help," Piccolo said. He fired a beam at Asta, and suddenly the boy could barely move under the intense weight.
"Endure it if you want to become strong," Goku told him.
Asta struggled but stood up with a determined smile. "I won't give up until I reach my goals and surpass you, Master!"
Goku smiled proudly.
"Goku, can I ask you something? This boy isn't ordinary. He has a tremendous amount of ki. He's not from this planet, is he?" Piccolo asked, noticing Asta's outfit.
"Yeah. He's from a planet where people use magic, but he was born without any. Even so, he works incredibly hard to achieve his dreams," Goku replied.
Piccolo smiled at Asta. "Perhaps I could teach him meditation to help control that loud mouth of his."
Goku accepted the offer without hesitation.
From then on, Goku trained Asta in martial arts with great intensity. Asta improved rapidly every single day. After each training session, he spent one hour meditating with Piccolo, learning about the origin of magic and improving his focus. Sometimes Piccolo even sparred with him.
One week later, Asta had fully mastered the basics of martial arts thanks to Goku and Piccolo's guidance.
"You've completely mastered martial arts. Now I'm going to teach you about ki and ki control," Goku announced.
Asta's eyes sparkled with excitement.
"Ki is the life energy inside every living thing. Once you learn to feel it, you can sense the movements and presence of any living being, Ki is composed of three elements: Genki (vigor/health), Yuki (courage), and Shoki (mind/righteousness)." Goku explained.
Genki (Vigor/Energy): This is your raw, physical life force. It represents your health, vitality, and cellular energy. It exists in all living things (from plants and animals to the atmosphere) and fuels your body's basic operations and stamina.
Yuki (Courage): This is your willpower, bravery, and fighting spirit. It represents the psychological strength to step out of your comfort zone, face dangerous situations head-on, and push your body to transcend its physical limits.
Shoki (Mind/Righteousness): This is your mental clarity and spiritual discipline. It determines the "purity" of your spirit, keeping your focus sharp and your emotions aligned. A strong Shoki prevents the mind from wandering or falling into negative, berserker states, allowing you to use your Ki with absolute control.
"Only when these three elements align altogether can make you truely master Ki" Goku explained with a serious look.
Asta listened carefully. Thanks to his time with Piccolo, he had already learned Earth's language and writing.
"You need to feel the energy inside your own body and focus it at a single point. Like this," Goku said, forming a small ball of energy between his hands.
Asta closed his eyes, concentrated hard, and soon managed to create the same glowing energy.
"Great! Now you can sense ki. Next, I'll teach you how to fly using ki," Goku said.
Asta jumped with joy.
"Concentrate your ki and push it underneath your body, slowly," Goku instructed as he gently floated into the air.
Asta followed the instructions and began to float. He felt like a bird, though he was much slower than Goku at first.
"It's truly amazing how fast you learn! To go faster, raise your ki output," Goku said.
Asta increased his energy and shot forward with a huge smile. He was flying without magic!
"Now I'll teach you all the full applications of ki. You'll even learn how to conceal your power level," Goku said.
Over the following days, Goku taught him ki blasts and advanced ki sensing by firing energy attacks at Asta for him to dodge and counter. By the end of each session, Asta was completely exhausted. Goku would then take him home, where they both rested for the next day's training.
