Ye Xi didn't care in the slightest about Mora. In his eyes, Mora was just like grains of sand in the desert—no difference at all.
He reached out and, from a rift that appeared in midair, drew out a sack of Mora.
One sack was ten million.
Right there in front of Diluc, he pulled out ten sacks in a row.
The heavy Mora pressed down on the table, the coins clinking against one another with a crisp sound.
Gazing at the Mora piled up like a small mountain before him, Diluc couldn't help but be astonished inwardly.
He thought about it for a long while, yet still couldn't figure out just what method Ye Xi had used.
To actually pull Mora straight out of thin air!
All at once he understood why Ye Xi hadn't needed those one hundred barrels of Dandelion Wine delivered.
He must have used this very method—he could simply carry the wine on his person!
"Master Diluc, this is one hundred million Mora. You may count it."
"Eh? Oh, no need to count."
"I trust Master Ye Xi!"
"Charles."
At Diluc's call, Charles walked in from outside.
"Master Diluc, what do you need?"
Diluc pointed at the money sacks on the table and instructed, "Put away this Mora."
"Mora?"
Charles gave a start. He stepped forward to take a look and was stunned to discover that all those sacks on the table were filled with glittering golden Mora!
The sight truly took him aback!
"S-so much! This has to be a hundred million!"
He couldn't understand how this room had suddenly gained so much money out of nowhere!
If it was for buying wine, that would only be one hundred barrels—it wouldn't call for this much money!?
And besides, how had all this money even been brought in!?
Diluc spoke up, "Charles, from now on, whenever Master Ye Xi and... Venti come to the tavern to drink, all their wine is free of charge."
"Eh!? V-Venti too...?"
At this, Charles was even more bewildered.
Ye Xi was the one buying the wine, so why wasn't Venti being charged either?
Though he didn't understand the reason behind it, Charles quickly nodded and agreed, "Understood, Master Diluc."
Having given his instructions, Diluc turned back and said, "Master Ye Xi, if you'd like to collect the wine, you may come with me to the winery."
"For one, the tavern here doesn't have that much prepared, and for another, you could go to the winery's cellar and pick it out yourself."
"Of course, you could also wait a day—I'll have someone bring the hundred barrels over tomorrow, complimentary gifts included."
Before Ye Xi could answer, Venti at his side lit up, eyes sparkling, and proposed, "Master Ye Xi, let's go to the winery!"
"Can we, can we?"
"I've heard Master Diluc has all kinds of treasured fine wines stashed away at his winery! They're absolutely top-notch delicacies~"
"Let's go, let's go~"
Ye Xi was instantly at a loss for words. "Venti, you wouldn't happen to have your eye on those treasured wines, hoping I'll buy them for you, would you?"
"Eh-heh~"
Venti put on a look of feigned innocence—clearly Ye Xi had hit the mark, and he was deliberately dodging the topic.
At this, Ye Xi could only let out a helpless sigh.
This fellow was getting greedier by the minute.
Still, to be fair, after Venti put it that way, he was a little tempted himself.
He'd originally planned to head back to the Serenitea Pot, but the moment he thought of Diluc's treasured wines, he rather wanted to give them a taste.
If even the Dandelion Wine was this delicious, then surely the treasured stuff would be even better?
At that thought, he nodded. "Alright, let's make a trip to the winery, and have a look at the surrounding environment and terrain while we're at it."
When the time came to run a Train to Mondstadt, a station would definitely have to be set up at the Dawn Winery.
Going ahead to scout the area and decide on a suitable route was very important.
No sooner said than done.
Diluc went upstairs to make some preparations at once, then came back down to lead the way ahead.
Leaving the tavern, a carriage happened to be parked outside.
That's right.
Mondstadt did have horses.
Back when playing the game, the animal known as the 'horse' had never once appeared in Mondstadt, which had led players to cast all sorts of doubt on Kaeya's identity as a cavalry captain.
But the truth was, Mondstadt really did have them.
The carriage's cabin was exquisite—at a glance it was clearly Diluc's private carriage.
Venti immediately began heaping on the praise: "Worthy of Master Diluc's carriage—how magnificent!"
Diluc sighed.
He always felt that this Anemo Archon was simply poking fun at him.
A dignified God—how could he take an interest in the vulgar trinkets of the mortal world?
Yet, on second thought, since this God was so deeply enamored with something as vulgar as wine, there really wasn't anything worth being surprised about.
"Please, get in."
Diluc's manner clearly carried a touch of deference.
This left the patrons by the back door all quite astonished.
They had long known Venti's identity, but as for Ye Xi, that was beyond them.
For a moment, they began whispering and discussing among themselves.
"Who is that person? To actually be allowed into Master Diluc's private carriage?"
"Look at the way Master Diluc's acting—he even seems to be showing a bit of respect!"
"Tsk, tsk, tsk, I'd say he's a major client of the winery!"
"He doesn't look like a Mondstadt local—could he be a great merchant from abroad?"
"I don't think so. Master Diluc is this rich—no matter how impressive a merchant is, there'd be no need for him to act this way, would there?"
"And how did that Venti fellow get to board the carriage too?"
"How strange!"
Before long, the carriage rolled grandly out through the city gates and left Mondstadt City behind.
Only after seeing Diluc off did the patrons start clamoring.
"Charles, what's going on here!"
"Where did that Master who just boarded the carriage come from? He looked like someone of extraordinary background, didn't he?"
Hearing this, Charles came over and offered an explanation.
His words left every patron present stunned.
"What? One hundred million Mora!?"
"My heavens, casually pulling out a hundred million Mora just to buy wine to drink—how rich must this Master Ye Xi be!?"
"Charles, are you sure he's not a wine peddler? I'd say he means to sell the wine abroad!"
Charles shook his head. "Master Ye Xi said he's buying it to drink himself. A great figure like that wouldn't bother telling such a lie, would he?"
The moment these words were out, everyone drew a sharp breath.
"What a wine cask of a man! That's far too much drinking!"
"If you ask me, he must be worth a hundred billion at least!"
"Now that's a true big boss! No wonder even Master Diluc is so respectful!"
The crowd exclaimed in wonder, one after another.
The carriage didn't move fast, but fortunately the winery wasn't far from Mondstadt City, and after a stretch of bumping along, they arrived.
For Diluc and the others, this carriage was already decent enough, but for Ye Xi, it could only be called barely passable.
Mondstadt's roads were uneven; an off-road car would surely have been comfortable, but a carriage fell far short.
The carriage drove into the territory of the Dawn Winery, where grape trellises were everywhere, along with all sorts of fruit cellars.
The estate was absurdly large—clearly a place of immense wealth.
Passing along the estate's small path, the carriage stopped at the winery's entrance.
By this time, maids and a butler were already there to greet them. The moment they saw Diluc's carriage, they knew Diluc had come home.
Yet among the crowd, there was one more figure.
It was none other than the second young master of the Ragnvindr family, Diluc's sworn brother—Kaeya.
When the carriage stopped and Diluc stepped down, Ye Xi hopped down from the carriage.
Seeing that there was a guest, the maids and butler were a little taken aback, and hurriedly moved to attend to him.
As for Kaeya, after seeing Ye Xi, he was about to come over and greet him, but the moment his gaze fell upon Ye Xi's eyes, he couldn't help but freeze.
