Chapter 732: United Suppression, One Against Two

Whoosh!

Blinding streams of light tore through the air like bolts of thunder, cutting directly toward the center of the immense lightning lake. Around each figure surged violent waves of spiritual power.

The seven overlords of the Bloodrock Realm's factions—all Earth Sovereigns—had launched their full assault. In this moment, they battled fiercely for the numerous glowing spheres that had suddenly emerged from the depths of the thunder lake.

For an Earth Sovereign, every one of those light clusters might contain the invaluable Divine Spirit Liquid itself!

The nine Earth Sovereigns hovered only a few thousand feet from the lake, a trivial distance at their speed. In mere heartbeats, they reached the area above the silver storm below.

Mo Yu and the Feng Emperor exchanged glances and leapt forward, streaking toward the lake's center.

Splash!

Just as they pierced through the thunderous barrier and were about to seize the orbs, the surface of the lake exploded violently. Columns of silver‑white lightning surged upward in a furious barrage.

The sudden attack startled even the nine Earth Sovereigns. Fortunately, their caution saved them—no one had come here naïve enough to forget that even an Earth Sovereign's treasure trove would be riddled with death traps.

Each of them instantly released protective auras, shouting commands as blades of light and torrents of energy burst outward.

Yet within the grand hall's suppressing domain, none could exert their full might. All nine Earth Sovereigns' power was held down, reduced to the peak‑Sovereign level.

Sizzle!

Even so, they had underestimated the peril hidden within the thunder lake.

The silver bolts pierced through their defenses the instant they struck. Cries of surprise rang out around the storm.

Then they saw them clearly—the silver lights were no mere streaks of thunder. They were slender serpents, each roughly a foot long, their bodies flat and edged like razor blades. Jagged scales gleamed like sharpened steel, and their entire forms pulsed with violent lightning energy.

Mo Yu's protective aura shattered as one serpent drilled through, lunging straight for his throat.

But before it reached him, Mo Yu raised his palm. His skin flashed with dark golden lightning, his flesh hardening until it shimmered like tempered metal.

Clang!

The serpent struck his palm with a metallic screech, forcing even Mo Yu to feel a sharp sting from the impact.

His expression darkened. Grasping swiftly, he seized the creature and crushed it within his fist. With a crack of lightning, it burst—leaving no blood, only scattering arcs of fading electricity.

"Oh? These things were crafted, not born."

Mo Yu frowned slightly. They were not living creatures, but constructs—refined by special techniques, much like the mechanical beasts of Weaponry Continent.

"Mo Yu, be cautious," the Feng Emperor warned gravely. "Each of these serpents carries cutting power equal to a mid‑grade artifact. In swarms, even an eighth‑grade Sovereign caught off guard would be severely injured. We're suppressed to the ninth grade now—carelessness could prove costly."

Mo Yu nodded. Scanning ahead, he saw that even the seven Bloodrock Realm Sovereigns faced difficulties, though none were truly hindered. Within moments, they were forcing their way toward the heart of the lightning lake, desperate to claim the treasures first.

"Let's move!"

Mo Yu and the Feng Emperor exchanged a quick look, then surged forward with all their strength, their figures blurring like lightning itself. In a few breaths, they neared one of the radiant orbs.

The Feng Emperor's eyes gleamed. He raised a hand, exerting a mighty suction force that drew the orb toward him.

"Hmph! Leave that!"

A harsh voice cracked through the sky like a thunderclap. From behind, a piercing wind surged—a freezing palm blast laced with chilling energy that froze even the air as it passed.

Though their strength was suppressed, these foes were still top‑tier Sovereigns of the Bloodrock Realm. Their assaults were anything but weak.

The Feng Emperor merely smirked. With a casual motion, he thrust out his palm. A storm of wind and spirit power erupted, swelling into a vortex that clashed head‑on with the icy blast.

Whirr!

The vortex roared, devouring the attack completely before shattering it into scattered sparks.

"Hmph!"

Not far away, a gray‑robed figure halted mid‑flight, grimacing as he suppressed a muffled cough. His eyes glinted coldly.

He was the master of the Ice Pavilion—an Earth Sovereign as well, though clearly forced into retreat by the Feng Emperor's power.

"An impressive display of wind energy, old master," the pavilion lord said darkly. "May I ask which force you hail from?"

"Just a nameless wanderer," the Feng Emperor replied mildly, hiding his identity. His tone was dismissive yet calm.

He closed his fingers. The orb he had seized dissolved into a pale blue fan. Ancient runes flowed like serpents across its surface, and the gleam of its metal handle carved a visible tear through the surrounding air.

An ultimate‑grade divine artifact.

The collection within this treasure domain was extraordinary. To grasp such a weapon at random—one that would drive even Sovereigns to covetous madness—spoke to the wealth of this place.

But for a being of the Feng Emperor's level, only items surpassing divine artifacts—so‑called "sacred relics"—were truly worth his attention. His own sacred relic had been lost long ago in his fatal battle against the Tianxuan Sect.

Still, this fan suited his affinity for wind, and he kept it without hesitation.

As he contemplated it, his brows furrowed. There were many light orbs scattered through the lake, but which one held the Divine Spirit Liquid? In this chaos, pausing to check them one by one would be impossible.

His thoughts broke as he noticed the Ice Pavilion's master rejoined by another—an aura stained thick with blood. The Blood Shark Pavilion's lord had arrived.

Farther back, Zhong Cang of the Asura Gate watched with a faint, venomous smile.

A plan was in motion—and Mo Yu understood at once. The local factions were joining hands to drive him and the Feng Emperor out.

"Split up," Mo Yu barked.

The Feng Emperor nodded and shot away like a stormwind.

"Hehe," sneered the Blood Shark lord, "this Earth Sovereign treasure belongs to the Bloodrock Realm. Outsiders should keep their hands off."

As he finished, the Ice Pavilion's master lunged after the Feng Emperor while the Blood Shark lord turned his gaze upon Mo Yu.

"If your companion thinks he can escape me, he's mistaken," the Feng Emperor said coldly, lightning flaring in his eyes.

The Ice Pavilion lord smiled faintly, his own power bursting forth like a violent gale that distorted the space around them. The clash between two great Sovereigns was imminent, forcing nearby powerhouses to retreat from the shockwaves alone.

Not far away, Mo Yu had already realized what was happening. They were being targeted. The Bloodrock elites meant to bar both outsiders from the lake's heart entirely.

He exhaled coldly. "If they think stopping him means stopping me… they'll regret underestimating me."

Waving his sleeve, he unleashed a torrent of storming lightning that swept aside the swarming serpents like dust. Then, accelerating to blinding speed, he became a beam of light, tearing toward the core of the thunder lake.

But his movement had not gone unnoticed.

As he neared the central whirlpool, streaks of light flashed from behind, forcing him to stop short. Two figures emerged to block his path—Zhong Cang of the Asura Gate and the Blood Shark lord himself.

"Outsider," said the Blood Shark lord icily, his crimson cloak flaring without wind. "This treasure lies within our realm. We'll allow you to keep whatever trinkets you've taken from the outskirts, but the center is beyond your reach."

So it was. In a hunt with limited spoils, Mo Yu and the Feng Emperor had become the easy targets—outsiders to be cast aside.

"Oh? Is the Bloodrock Realm so arrogant?" Mo Yu asked, his tone chilling with irony. "Last I checked, this realm still answers to the Northern Domain. Should a Northern overlord appear—would you surrender your treasures so easily?"

Zhong Cang laughed softly beside the Blood Shark lord. "Sharp tongue, Mo Yu. But it seems you've chosen defiance over reason."

He had never forgiven Mo Yu for refusing his earlier alliance. Now, with the treasure of an Earth Sovereign before him, Zhong Cang's scheme was simple—unite the local powers, eliminate the outsiders, and divide the spoils.

Though only the Blood Shark and Ice Pavilion had agreed to his plan, the others had chosen neutrality, waiting for Mo Yu and the Feng Emperor to be removed before claiming their shares.

A coalition of three against two.

Sufficient strength to crush them.

Seeing the two men standing together, Mo Yu understood fully—the Bloodrock elites had joined hands to exclude him entirely.

His eyes narrowed, gleaming cold as lightning. "So, you intend to bar my path?"

"Be wise, Mo Yu," Zhong Cang said lightly, hands clasped behind his back, a condescending smile on his lips. "Leave now. This place isn't meant for you."

Even with all his confidence, he knew the numbers favored him—two Earth Sovereigns against one.

Mo Yu said nothing. His answer came instead in the form of a thunderous surge of power from within. Lightning flared at his feet, flooding the sky with luminous arcs.

Zhong Cang and the Blood Shark Sovereign exchanged sharp looks, deadly intent flashing between them.

"Very well," said Zhong Cang coldly, his voice low with authority. "Since you insist on staying—don't blame the Bloodrock Realm for lacking hospitality."

Their combined auras erupted at once, shaking the heavens.
