Chapter 697 - Spiteful Condenstate

"Ugh" Calliope sighed in exhaustion as she stared at the green terminal screen. Light flickering lightly. "What the shit does any of this even mean…!" Her face drooped down against the palm of her mechanical hand.

On the screen were the words 'Advanced Biological Special Relativistic Physics'

As per Terhertz's notes. It Read as follows:

The Concept is quite simple.

'When a biological body begins to move faster than 0.5c [1.499e+8 m/s] typical relativistic physics cease to function as normal. This was observed with the accelerator.'

"Accelerator?" Cali narrows her eyes. Leaning forward. A realization coming over her face. "Thats what that must be down there!" She looks off to the lift before looking back to the screen.

'A Piece of Iron weighing one gram was launched to a speed of 0.49c resulting in a massive detonation of over 10 kilotons of TNT! An astounding demonstration that i find staggering for the implication of weapons…Let alone if the marines were able to launch hyperdense alloys at such speed. But this would require massive amounts of energy that would outweigh the benefits of just launching warheads with an even larger yieldd'

Calliopes breath hitched for a moment. Considering the date of this research. It was from years ago.

'However. I had a peculiar problem in my lab. A common house fly had found its way into the lab for some unknowable reason and right when I was about to launch the particle accelerator, which of course works on the principle of acceleration through dragging and propulsion of the weak magnetic force and atomic bonds of an object to near instantly accelerate.'

'The fly was accelerated! And I found something fascinating. Instead of being completely evaporated from the speed, it had lost all kinetic energy upon ceasing of momentum! It was as if because the fly had not intention of delivering kinetic energy upon impact, it merely landed before flying away!'

'I was astounded…Now of course, this is not a new idea. There are many many combatants within the world that can move at such staggering speeds. But the unique reasoning for why it seems that things begin to break down was never understood.'

'Until now!'

'I suspect, and in the most scientific of ways, can confirm, which is rarely ever a certainty within science! That when biological matter is accelerated, the interaction between the sheer amount of compounds, molecules, signals and processes occurring begins to become 'Decoupled' from standard physics!'

'Instead of being just a massive collection of a variety of Atoms, performing complex actions and work, that when this speed is reached, the body, while staying the same observably and functionally in all forms as I have observed, begins to no longer be this collection. Instead being registered as a single 'Entity' or Bio-Particle.'

'A true communion and melding! Its as if a collection of islands with distinct regions were pushed together into a single mass, but retaining all of their unique attributes! Or perhaps more accurately…As some may think, the person does not become more singular as an entity. But rather truthfully melded. Like multiple populations colliding and over time becoming a single identity and mixture of the associated parts!'

'The biggest however. Is that because of this fact. Much as how observation can fluctuate quantum observation, intention, the changes in signal and the application of this Bio-Particle begins to change its relation to its acceleration. A fly with no mind of its own but instinct would land gently. A fighter however…'

'Could move at such speed and not even disturb the air dramatically, the Atmosphere around them literally warping around them and snapping back into place before even being registered by the rest of physics. Where on upon impact, rather through secondary acceleration of a arms torque in a punch, muscle movement or delivery rather than abrupt cessation of Acceleration, will deliver all of its energy all at once! The Energy having plateau'd, but then added in devastation by the entities additional power and movement!'

'This does break the fundamental law of nothing being created or destroyed. Only Transferred. This is answered from the body of the user generating force for take off, but upon impact if the energy from the rest of their acceleration is not dumped. Where does it go? It must go somewhere.'

'I hypothesis that in extreme examples, and perhaps at moving beyond the Speed of Light…If possible, though the energy required would be monstrous but not infinite for a biological creature due to the lack of application of Realitivistic physics, would cause; As light is approached in speed, not dumped kinetic energy is released in the form ripples in spacetime fabric. Like a cushion. With a secondary release of electromagnetic energy or non-ionizing radiation. But to go beyond that…It would mean that instead of a 'Sonic' Boom. There would be a 'Light' boom. Where there is a momentary rupture or displacement by the bio-particle against space and creating a blaze of light, a warping of space.'

"God he just keeps going…" Calliope murmured to herself.

'But in truth. This feels correct. At such a scale and interaction any number of these could happen depending on sequence of events like Water gaining or loosing charge. It feels almost poetic. Stars, black holes, galaxies, are massive. Bigger than anything. But are simple. After all its said that the sun during its creation was what gave the possibility for the Planet to be formed, and thus only that energy, that star dust, is what makes Biology. But instead of being massive simple fusion or simple innate matter. Regardless of our size, our affect on the universe is astronomically bigger.'

'We become Condenstate. Such complex beings of star dust, that our effect on the universe and its laws, begin to no longer function the same. And instead…Have their own advanced ones that must be followed.'

Calliope stared at the screen. Mouth agape as she took it all in. She was…Understanding it. Besides the complex equations and terminology, and even then she was struggling to wrap her head around it. But that mind of an engineer and over three years of being in this island surrounded by this exact kind of ramblings, she was able to decipher it.

"Oi! Boto." She called to the autonomous helper unit. In a moment, along the top rail of the roof, that same form of the eye shaped construct came into view. "Yes Miss Badass?" She snickered at the new name she had commanded it to address her by.

"About this, biology stuff. What else did Tehertz find? Like the associated shit." She waved her hand through the air. The cybernetics had been upgraded to be more humanoid in form. But was still rough from what she truly wanted.

"The 'Shit'" The bot audibly quoted the swear. "Dr. Tehertz was researching in regards to his Special Realitivity Bio-Particle and Preternatural Phenomenon is vast. He was attempting to understand and deduce the strangeness of the world beyond the understood fields of science. As many Scientest and Naturalists of the past struggled to notate and document findings in the World due to the World Governments changes and development to travel between Blues and the Grand Line as apart of security and documentation of their own citizens along with economic control as long ago many had been able to slip past them without registration into other Oceans. Becoming Illegal Aliens in the process."

Cali sighed. "Youre just as long winded as he is…" She shook her head with a roll of her eyes. "List off the most recent ones before he abandoned the island." She swatted her hand to rush the Automaton.

"Of course Miss Badass, the entires are as follows: Activity Phenomenon of Geological and Planetary Formation. Particle Acceleration Via Novel Propulsion. Light Generation and Photonic Manipulation for Use in Weaponization-"

The womans eyes snapped to the metal sphere, cutting it off. "Light Weaponization?" She questioned.

"Yes, Dr. Tehertz had been attempting to weaponize photonic particles to contain and produce immense out puts of energy and detonation with kinetic energy similar to Naval Marine Officer, Admiral Argento, also known as Murausagi." Her eyes narrowed at the Name. Mind flashing to the incident on Desamare with the the Marines Light Logia.

"And?" She edged.

"Dr. Tehertz had gotten close to understanding how to accelerate plasmatic masses to Sub-Realitivistic Speeds to hold the same ability as Light Beams. But had become stuck on how to further accelerate it, as Energy began to become higher and higher in requirement to produce from his calculations." The Bots eye flashed and lines of code blurred across the iris lens, processing and finding the information.

"The closest he had gotten was with the Mark 0 Harbinger Project known as Project Renaissance; regarding Benjamin Condent and his Transformation into a living weapon. Able to use his biological processes and generation of energy to allow for immense acceleration of Photonic Plasma. Which was leagues above the Later Mechanical Automaton Android Harbingers. Condent capable of shooting a discharge of 35%c, while the Androids were only capable of 15%."

'No wonder we struggled against him on Hard Rock…Hadn't Kale fought him after we were out of commission? How in the world could he have kept up with that…Haki maybe?' Calliope wondered to her self. 'Even those DX's were a struggle. Took almost all of us at once to take even one down.'

Words snapped Calliope back as the AI had continued. "Dr. Tehertz Hypothesized that with each new advancements of the Model, he should be able to increase their power, and hopefully out do Condents Modifications by leaps. However, I am unable to access any data of his current projects and developmental research. I only have access to the contents of the Databases within the this Facility."

"Which is only limited to Tehertz and Science, huh?" Calliope eyed the machine.

"Affirmative. Only the Doctors Research and information he injected I have access to. Primarily only in the Fields of Science, Engineering, and Mathematics unless the Doctors research explored other fields; From his own perspective." The Bot finished.

Calliope rested her chin on her metal hand. Screwing her jaw as she thought.

Her mind racing. She'd learned a lot about Engineering and Mechanics in the time here. She had no idea how a lot of it worked, but she knew how to put it together and what it did. Like a person who knew how to write a book, but didn't understand how the book was made and bound.

"The Particle Accelerator downstairs. If we get the schematics for it could we size it down to be able to fit into a a 100 meter space, or even Eight Foot Space?" Her words were skewed by the resting palm.

The Bot flashed its eyes. Thinking and Processing. "Yes. I believe it should be possible. But the potency and acceleration would dramatically be reduced, along with a peak in Accumulation in Heat accumulation."

Eyes narrowed. "A Tungsten alloy should be able to shield it." She spoke to herself. "Could probably even

Mechanical whirs filled the Workshop. The FAB and Calliope hard at work.

The womans face adorned with thick silver reflective lenses. Sparks flying from the Tig Welder connecting complex constructs that warped in strange angles. Thin micro sized pipes twisting along concave surfaces, ridges rising and falling, layers of a variety materials, some overhanging deep exposed machinery. Others covering internals still in the process of being constructed.

"Dr. Hertz then Hypothesized, and later accomplished the use of using the Carbohydrates and Carbonization and Glucose within the Cola Syrup Liquid to be burned with the use of total energy absorption device so that the heat and released energy was not wasted, capable of fueling an automaton–"

The mindless words of complicated jargon and explanation of what the parts did with the chemistry and processes. "Boto, you know I'm not listening to you right?" Cali interrupted.

Holding up the strange component "Ive got no clue what any of the stuff in this thing does. All I know is that its a sorta…." She tilted side to side. "Hydrualic Piston with a bunch of moving parts that I can use to fit into other things to move shit."

"Apologies Miss Badass, I appear to have been over complicating. Would you like me to simplify for you?" Its voice rose in pitch to give the implication of a question.

Her finger tips pushed into her temples, rubbing them in frustration. "Augh. Yes Yes just call them as simple shit as possible." She swatted her hand dismissivley.

With a quick moment of processing, Calliope put it to the Test. "What is this?"

"Energy Storage." The AI answered. Nodding she continued. "This fuckin thing?"

"Low Tension Component." Smile began to spread. She held up a very large mess of metal, springs, screws and electronic wiring. Simply gesturing with it, and the AI followed suit.

"Impact Suppression Part."

With a gentle move, she placed it back down with the array of assorted pieces, parts, components and items all neatly organized. At least, in her own way.

'This is gonna go way easier now…' She shook her head in satisfaction, tugging the goggles back in place. Her pace skyrocketed. The AI helping her when she became stumped by what something was capable of, answering swiftly and simply.

Coolant Tubes Slid into place among shielding components. An emitter device slotted neatly within. The Machines and Technology that Tehertz invented were typically very sleek and had an awe inspiring artistry of Futurism and Wonder to them. Sleek in form at a glance but complex upon inspection even with finished products.

Calliope on the other hand, was verbose. Connected pieces left exposed to reveal non vulnerable Machinery, it never mimicked naturalness like Tehertz's did. It was unabashedly Mechanical and striking. Not shying away from being its truest self like Calliope herself, even if a person were to think it unnatural. It was functional. And fit her most of all.

Hours later, and covered in matted pink hair. Calliope leaned down next to the weapon. It was long and shaped almost like a gun barrel, but with additional curves and edges along the length. The back end held a rounded cylinder, dripping with tubes that slunk inward to the machine. One long pipe that held a texture similar to braided cordage, snaked along the exterior and ending in a connection to the middle where larger circular machined rings served as connectors from one piece to the other.

Inside, surrounded by wires connecting to a Computation Machine that was housed just ahead of the cylinder, was a small valve-esque bottle neck that penetrated into the second half.

"Okay. Focusing Aperture is secured…" She manipulated the shutter shape just like a cameras at the other end. "Stability Reading?"

"The Muon Particle Concentrator and Argon Hydrogen Canister are feeding as intended. Power connection at 98%. And stability is 54.56 repeating%." The AI answered.

"Coolio. Probably need to figure out some sort of portable power source for this thing. But I think the Idea of using those Muon things and having them be combined with plasma should let the beam to hit real hard real fast…" She stepped back, hand on the big red button that would fire it.

"Correct. Terhertz Theorized the Usage of Muon Beams weaponized and powered by electricity, but the Power Requirements were far too high, and Muon Particles did solve the speed problem as compared to his use of Plasmatic Acceleration. However did not output the same required power." Boto clarified.

"Hey what'd I say about all the science ravings." She snarked. Pulling goggles over her eyes. "And 54% is over half! Its heads or tails at this point!" Confident smile spread as she commanded. "Full power! Lets go!"

Her hand slammed on the almost comedically large red button, giving a satisfying click and push back.

The Next Moment, the lights dimmed and flickered once, a whirring and electronic whine filled the room. The end glowing a faint but bright blue before being overtaking by a stark yellow hue! A Jagged and Spiked Flare erupted from the end as a beam propagated from in in a far smoother but certainly rough fashion!

Sound ruptured! A High pitched scream followed by a deep tone filled the air!

WH-THRACK

Vibration from the impact could felt. It was far greater in reaction than She had expected! Having flinched away, hands coming to shield her face from the sudden violent discharge!

"Geeze…" She huffed out. Slowly lowering her hands. Eyes adjusting.

The Device sat mangled and smoking a strange stream of thin blue. It was warped and bent out of shape as if Calliope had taken a piece of rebar and twisted it her self and sat it on the table. Pieces dropped, molten from sheer temperature. Cooling to be frozen in mid drip like hardened wax.

The Result however…

"HA!" Calliope shouted, fist balled tucking her arms into her ribs in excitement! "Look at that!" She looked to the AI Construct and pointed a metal finger to the wall.

It Responded in Kind. "Congratulations Miss Badass. It seems you've successfully accomplished what Dr. Tehertz had not." It was a simple spoken sentence. But filled Calliope with immense pride.

She may not be an Inventor like Jeanne or Tehertz. But she sure as hell knew how to put pieces together…

The 6 inch plate of Durasteel that Calliope had set up but 5 Meters from the Device was utterly obliterated. Signatures of heat causing the first moment of impact to leave cascading streams of metal. But the rest of the passage was pure kinetic violence. The Sheet bloomed outward before attempting to curve back down, surface filled with cracks that resembled scales. Deep wedges between them.

A whole punched straight through.

And the wall another 10 Meters away, had a massive crater amidst its surface. Steam still rising as it resembled the same outcome the Durasteel had on a far larger scale, nearly 10 meters wide.
