The chihuahua tilted its head at her word.
Tang Li Yue sighed.
Ten minutes later, the dog had a small makeshift doghouse near the corner of the courtyard.
It was not fancy. On the contrary, it was crude and focused on merely being functional.
There was a mat inside, a bowl of water, and a food dish placed at a distance Tang Li Yue deemed hygienically appropriate.
The dog stepped inside, turned around twice and laid down.
It rested its head at the entrance, watching her.
Tang Li Yue looked away.
"Don't give me that look. This is basic animal management."
She turned and said to Lu Chengran who stood beside her, arms folded.
"Of course."
"It is not affection," she emphasized again.
"I didn't say it was. In fact, I didn't say anything."
"You were thinking it. I can see it in your face."
"It's called observing."
"That doesn't make that much of a difference."
The dog thumped its tail once.
Tang Li Yue pointed at it. "Hey, no thumping after sunset. Some people need sleep."
