The night gradually fell over the Divine Beast Origin, shrouding the land in darkness.
On a once-majestic but now-collapsed solitary peak, a cave had been carved out.
Inside the cave, Mo Yu and his group sat around a bonfire.
"At our current pace, we should reach the Myriad Beasts Graveyard in about three to four days..."
By the fire, Han Yue flicked his finger, causing the flames to rise and form a map in the air. He pointed to a particular spot on it and said,
"In two days, we'll pass through this area. It's a free trade point where strong individuals from various clans gather. We need to prepare some things there."
"There are also plenty of valuable items here. If we're lucky, we might even stumble upon some rare treasures.
I once heard of a fool who didn't recognize what they had and ended up selling a fragment of a divine ability at a low price."
"Purchasing items here requires Supreme Spiritual Liquid, though bartering is also an option."
Hearing this, Mo Yu raised an eyebrow slightly before nodding. He had five million Supreme Spiritual Liquid given to him by his true self. If he encountered something worthwhile or an opportunity to take advantage of a bargain, he could make a move.
"Alright, let's stop here for today. Get some rest so we can set out early tomorrow."
Han Yue explained a few more rules regarding the free trade point before closing his eyes and gradually entering a meditative state.
Nearby, Cai Lin, Mang Lie, and the others also found spots to begin their cultivation.
Mo Yu, however, created a separate training chamber within the cave. After entering and sitting cross-legged, he did not immediately enter cultivation. Instead, he took a deep breath, his expression solemn, and gradually closed his eyes.
The moment his eyes shut, a vision surfaced in his mind.
An ancient battlefield stretched endlessly before him, filled with raging sandstorms and a suffocating aura of bloodshed.
At the very center of this battlefield stood a dark red figure, motionless like a monolith. Even if an army of thousands charged at him, he seemed unshakable.
Mo Yu stared intently at the dark red figure as the boundless killing intent in the air converged around him, making him look like a demon god.
The figure slowly raised his head, his crimson eyes seeming to glance at Mo Yu. Above him, the surging murderous aura condensed into countless blood-red characters.
Sacrificial Demon Fist – First Form: Enter the Demon!
This was the reward Mo Yu had received for passing the fifth level of the Body Refining Pagoda!
A wave of overwhelming murderous intent, filled with the echoes of brutal battles, flooded Mo Yu's mind, relentlessly washing over his soul. His eyes gradually turned red, as if a bloodthirsty desire was awakening within him.
However, Mo Yu quickly calmed his heart and forcibly suppressed the surging bloodlust.
This Sacrificial Demon Fist was truly terrifying. Simply training in it could induce a killing frenzy.
But who was Mo Yu? He was once the Thunder Emperor of the Dou Qi Continent, a man who had walked out of countless mountains of corpses and seas of blood. No scene of slaughter was foreign to him.
Even though he was not his true self, their mental states were identical. As a result, the bloodlust had little real effect on him.
With his mind quickly stabilized, Mo Yu once again immersed himself in the battlefield of slaughter.
He was eager to see the power of his Sacrificial Demon Fist when combined with his Heaven-Shaking Divine Arm.
At dawn the next day, as soon as the night dissipated, Mo Yu and his companions emerged from their cultivation. After a brief preparation, they set off once again.
During their journey, they encountered several groups of powerful beings from different races. However, upon seeing Mo Yu's group, most chose to keep their distance.
Thus, traveling at full speed during the day and practicing the Sacrificial Demon Fist at night, two days passed in the blink of an eye.
On the third day, Mo Yu suddenly noticed a growing number of spiritual energy fluctuations. Moreover, all of them seemed to be heading in the same direction.
Realizing this, Mo Yu knew that they were approaching the free trade point Han Yue had mentioned.
Just as this thought surfaced in his mind, his field of vision abruptly expanded.
In the distance, a massive hill emerged on the horizon.
Atop the hill stood several ancient stone structures, exuding an aura of vast power. The surrounding area was filled with countless figures streaking through the sky, all heading toward the same destination.
Clearly, this was the free trade point.
"We've arrived," Han Yue said with a smile, nodding toward Mo Yu and the others.
"Once we enter, we'll split up to gather materials that can resist death energy. These will help us survive in the Myriad Beasts Graveyard.
You all have the materials list. If you come across any of them, try to collect as much as possible. The more we have, the better our chances."
"Understood," Mo Yu nodded.
Whoosh!
Several streaks of light shot across the sky, rapidly approaching the trade point before descending at its outskirts.
Upon landing outside, Mo Yu's eyebrows lifted slightly.
The scale and prosperity of the area exceeded his expectations. He estimated that the number of people gathered here easily surpassed a thousand.
Following the flow of people, the group entered the trade point. Han Yue, along with three experts from the Rhino Demon Clan, soon split off, leaving Mo Yu and his three companions to explore freely.
The trade point was expansive, surrounded by towering ancient stones of various shapes and sizes.
Many individuals sat cross-legged on these stone formations, their wares displayed before them.
Surprisingly, these vendors used sturdy stone trees as makeshift stalls. Their branches were adorned with glowing crystal spheres, each containing a variety of rare items.
Among them were ancient scrolls, chilling long swords, eerie white bones, and various peculiar natural treasures, all shimmering under the dim light.
Mo Yu and Cai Lin strolled through the market, occasionally stopping to purchase materials that could resist death energy.
These materials were indeed rare, but their usual price remained within tens of thousands of Supreme Spiritual Liquid. For Mo Yu, this was hardly an issue.
As he scanned the area, he found nothing particularly valuable. After all, with Thunder Prison backing, ordinary items barely caught his interest.
Following the flow of people, Mo Yu and his group slowly made their way into the trading area. Eventually, the four of them halted in front of an exceptionally thick stone tree.
This stone tree was noticeably larger than the others, at least a size thicker, and its hanging items were abundant, radiating brilliance that suggested something extraordinary.
As a result, a steady stream of people came and went, examining the objects displayed on the stone tree.
Mo Yu's gaze swept over the scene, but instead of lingering on the dazzling crystal spheres, his attention shifted to a corner of the stone tree.
There, among the various objects, was a dimly colored crystal sphere. Within it lay a palm-sized, gray-white fragment of a broken bone, appearing tattered and worn.
The moment Mo Yu's eyes landed on the gray-white bone fragment, he sensed a faint ripple from the phantom of the Heaven-Shaking Force Ape within his Supreme Sea.
The fluctuation was incredibly subtle, yet Mo Yu detected it instantly. His pupils narrowed ever so slightly.
After a brief hesitation, Mo Yu stepped forward without concealment, reaching out and taking the crystal sphere containing the gray-white bone fragment into his hand. Then, he looked up and smiled at the gray-cloaked man behind the stone tree.
"How much for this?"
The gray-cloaked man blinked in surprise at Mo Yu's question before glancing at the bone fragment in his hand. With a faint smile, he asked, "Oh? Why are you interested in this?"
"Just looks interesting."
Mo Yu chuckled. He was well aware that everyone here was sharp-eyed. Though many of them scavenged items from the Divine Beast Origin without knowing their true value, they remained extremely wary.
After all, it wasn't unheard of for an object considered worthless at first glance to later be identified as a priceless treasure.
The gray-cloaked man narrowed his eyes slightly at Mo Yu's response, his gaze sharpening as he studied the bone fragment again. After a long moment, he slowly withdrew his gaze.
He had examined the items he put up for sale countless times before, and he hadn't found anything particularly special about this bone fragment. It emitted no energy fluctuations, and apart from its suspected origin as a relic of an ancient divine beast, there was nothing remarkable about it.
"Do you know what this is?"
As the gray-cloaked man frowned in thought, Mo Yu casually lifted the bone fragment in his hand and asked.
"If I did, I wouldn't have put it up for sale. All I know is that it likely comes from an ancient divine beast. Even when I attacked it with my full strength, I couldn't leave so much as a scratch on it," the gray-cloaked man replied, shaking his head.
Hearing this, Mo Yu's brow arched slightly. This gray-cloaked man was a Seventh-Grade Supreme. If even his full power couldn't damage the bone fragment, then its original owner must have been at least at the Earth Supreme level, if not—
"How much?" Mo Yu asked again, his tone light.
The gray-cloaked man hesitated, his gaze flickering slightly before he finally said, "Five hundred thousand Supreme Spiritual Liquid."
The moment he spoke, Mang Lie and Mang Yu, standing beside Mo Yu, were momentarily stunned before glaring at him with irritation. This guy didn't even know what he was selling, yet he dared to demand such an outrageous price.
"Aren't you being a little too greedy?" Mo Yu frowned slightly.
Although he had a vague feeling that this item was extraordinary, five hundred thousand Supreme Spiritual Liquid was no small amount. Of course, he was deliberately bargaining—if he appeared too eager and accepted the price without hesitation, it would only make the other party suspicious.
"When selling items here, especially unidentified ones, we always set high prices to cover our risk. After all, what if this piece of junk turns out to be a priceless treasure?"
The gray-cloaked man shrugged and said, "You have to consider my position too. Imagine how much I'd regret it if this really turned out to be a hidden gem?"
"There aren't that many lost treasures in the world," Mo Yu replied indifferently. "Three hundred thousand Supreme Spiritual Liquid. Take it or leave it."
The gray-cloaked man studied Mo Yu intently, as if trying to read his thoughts.
The high price he had quoted was, in part, a test. If Mo Yu had immediately agreed to pay five hundred thousand, then he would have reconsidered selling it.
After all, in the Divine Beast Origin, there were many undiscovered treasures. A well-known tale spoke of a man who unknowingly sold a fragmented divine ability, only to be ridiculed ever since.
The gray-cloaked man had no intention of becoming the subject of such a cautionary tale.
Yet, Mo Yu's casual attitude made him uncertain. Had this person noticed something special about the bone fragment, or was he simply drawn to it by intuition?
Looking into Mo Yu's abyssal black eyes, the gray-cloaked man—despite his extensive experience—could not discern anything from the handsome and enigmatic young man before him.
After some thought, he gritted his teeth and said, "Fine, three hundred thousand Supreme Spiritual Liquid. Consider it a friendly deal."
Mo Yu smiled slightly. This man was rather interesting—he had tested him with a high price, but when the test failed, he decisively closed the deal, showing a straightforward personality.
But Mo Yu was no ordinary person. If this gray-cloaked man hoped to extract any useful information from him, it was nothing more than wishful thinking.
With the price settled, Mo Yu wasted no time. With a flick of his sleeve, a jade bottle flew toward the gray-cloaked man.
Catching it, the gray-cloaked man scanned it briefly before nodding. With a flick of his finger, he severed the spiritual light tethering the crystal sphere to the stone tree.
The cold crystal sphere dropped into Mo Yu's palm, and with a firm squeeze, he shattered it. The gray-white bone fragment, as smooth as warm jade, landed in his hand.
"Brother Mo Yu, isn't this just a broken bone? Why did you spend three hundred thousand Supreme Spiritual Liquid on it?" Mang Yu asked curiously, her gaze fixed on the fragment in Mo Yu's hand.
Mo Yu chuckled and said, "Heh, I just felt like it. Consider it a souvenir. As for whether it's useful or not, I have no idea. I'll study it later."
He wasn't lying. Although the mysterious bone fragment had triggered a reaction from the Heaven-Shaking Force Ape's phantom within his Supreme Sea, he still didn't know its true purpose. It would require careful examination.
Mang Yu nodded at his response, but beside her, Cai Lin narrowed her beautiful eyes slightly before a subtle smile curved her lips. Clearly, she had already guessed Mo Yu's true thoughts.
With the deal complete, Mo Yu and his group were preparing to head toward the next location when suddenly, several figures shot toward them.
Among them, one particularly powerful individual rushed straight for Mo Yu. At the same time, a commanding male voice rang out:
"Five hundred thousand Supreme Spiritual Liquid. I want that bone fragment."
