The early-morning sun shone through the window and onto Casey's sleeping figure. He stirred slightly, wanting to go back to sleep when a rapid knock sounded on the door.
Casey's eyes shot open, blurry and dazed from sleep. It took him a minute to collect himself before he called out for the person to enter.
His hoarse voice echoed through the room, and the other person at the door turned the doorknob and walked in.
The maid's gaze fell on Casey, and a flash of amazement flickered in her eyes. She still couldn't believe Casey was a man. He had disguised himself so well for years.
"What is it?" Casey asked as he sat up, his gaze falling on her and snapping her out of her thoughts.
"Sir, the response letter from the school has been sent to the castle. Please go to the butler to verify it." She informed him, then turned to leave after his response.
