Chapter 0

Many years ago, the world was a civilized society that was in its prime age of evolution, but that all changed during the cataclysmic event that occurred in the 25th century.

Mana was introduced to the world along with innate abilities that differ for each person.

People called this the awakening period, an era filled with the supernatural. It was called a blessing by the people; however, their greed said otherwise.

Humanity, blinded by its own powers, killed and used its authorities to overwhelm one another.

The world was shocked—Many became afraid, while most turned a blind eye and saw this as an opportunity, rather than a catastrophe.

War broke out, they stole what wasn't theirs, even killing for their own desires. The world became a battlefield for the superhumans, causing destruction with each battle and turning everything into nothing but rubble.

But among people, there was one man who would put an end to the destruction, stopping the cataclysmic war once and for all, bringing an end to humanity's rampage.

It had been nearly 100,000 years since then, and with its 100,000th year nearing, the world divided its history into ten periods.

One of them is the awakening period, the first of the ten, and the era in which the cataclysmic event started.

Throughout its history, humanity began to adapt to its new environment, studying to uncover, learning to survive, and living for its future.

For 100,000 years, humanity persisted, giving life to generations to come...

"... The end." A white-haired boy whispered.

He looked down at another boy, a child whose eyes were closed, with his breathing stable. Looking at the sight, the white-haired boy quietly tucked the child in a blanket.

He stood up gently, avoiding any noise that could disturb the child's sleep. He walked quietly to a desk beside the child's bed, and on top of it stood a fire trapped within a lamp, casting an orange hue within the room.

Placing his finger on a switch connected to the lamp, he rotated his wrist in a swift turn, causing the switch to follow suit, creating a sharp click that extinguished the fire.

With the fire gone, the room was enveloped in darkness, leaving only the window as a source of light, casting a dim moonlight glow on the room.

The white-haired boy then set his gaze toward the door and quietly reached for the doorknob. But before turning it, he glanced at the child one last time.

"Goodnight..."

He whispered before exiting the room entirely.
