Huuu… haaa…
Seimei sucked in a deep breath, then let it out slow, forcing his heart to chill the hell out. Once he was calm enough, he cranked the Chakra Refinement Method to full throttle and started digging into every last drop of potential buried in his bones.
Time crawled by, minute after minute.
This time his Spirit stat had jumped five whole points in one shot; the growth was massive, so it took him a solid hour of grinding before he finally stopped, drenched in sweat and panting like he'd just sparred with a tailed beast.
He compared his body now to what it was an hour ago, then glanced at the panel to see how much his max chakra cap had climbed. Using past data as a baseline, he ran the numbers on this latest boost.
Verdict? This Spirit spike added roughly a hundred million points to his theoretical chakra ceiling.
Sounds insane, right? It's not. Spread that across five points and each point of Spirit only gave him twenty million extra chakra potential. Kinda trash, honestly.
Back when his Spirit hit 40, a single point was already worth 15 million. By the usual growth curve, he should've been pulling well over twenty million per point by now, probably closer to thirty or forty the higher he climbed. But nope; reality slapped him with a measly twenty mil average.
Reason's simple: his Spirit and body are so goddamn lopsided that a chunk of that potential is straight-up locked behind his weak-ass flesh.
Still, Seimei ain't sweating it too hard. Once he pumps his Physique stat up, all that suppressed power's gonna come flooding out like a broken dam.
The real kicker? How much this imbalance is choking his chakra recovery speed.
Remember, to force his Rinnegan awake he dumped a casual hundred billion spare chakra into the pot. Now, if he goes all-out training, he's bleeding an extra 108.732 million points a day just to plug the hole. His reserves won't last long at this rate.
He needs way more passive regen, stat.
Haa…
Overthinking's pointless. Seimei exhaled, cleared his head, and started testing his natural recovery.
First, he shut off the Chakra Refinement Method completely.
Then he just sat there, perfectly still, breathing steady like a corpse.
Panel open, eyes locked on the chakra counter, waiting.
Ten minutes later he stopped the timer.
+1,426,389 chakra.
Do the math: ten minutes = 1.42 million, one hour = 8.55 million, twenty-four hours = roughly 205.4 million points per day from passive regen alone.
Before today? That number was 145 million flat.
Translation: the Spirit boost just gifted him sixty million more chakra per day.
On paper that's nuts; double what he got the last time he pushed Physique to 40. But divide it by the five points he gained this time? Suddenly it looks like dogshit. When Spirit hit 40, a single point gave him ten million daily regen. Five more points following the normal curve should've easily broken a hundred million total boost.
Yeah… the imbalance is screwing him here too. Same suppression, same bullshit.
At least sixty million a day ain't nothing. It drops his daily deficit from 108.73 million down to 48.73 million. Buys him way more time before the tank hits empty. Plus on his one rest day every ten, he'll bank a fat stack extra.
Huuu…
Seimei let out a long breath, tilted his head back, and stared up at the night sky; stars everywhere, middle of the damn night already.
Time to crash. He stood up to head back to the cabin.
Halfway up, something clicked in his head. He dropped back down, crossed his legs, and shut his eyes.
Feeling the way his monstrous Spirit was crushing his frail body like a hydraulic press, he smirked bitterly and slammed down two techniques back-to-back: Soul Separation no Jutsu and the Heart-Sealing Soul-Lock: Instant Contract Seal.
He sealed away a chunk of his own spirit energy.
Just like he figured, the insane Rinnegan spirit surge laughed at basic sealing; it barely made a dent. Still, every little bit helps, especially when he's trying to sleep without feeling like his soul's gonna rip his meat suit apart.
Way better for catching Zs.
With a thought he released the Soul Separation. His soul slammed back home, pressure dropped a notch, neck cracked satisfyingly, and he stood up for real this time, heading for the cabin.
Quick rinse in the stream, then straight to bed.
One quiet night; no dreams, no bullshit.
······
Next morning.
Seimei snapped awake at the ass-crack of dawn. First thing he felt? That familiar Spirit pressure trying to fold his body like origami. Urgency hit him like a Rasengan to the gut.
No time to waste. He rolled out of bed, stepped outside, washed up fast in the stream, then scarfed down a handful of supercharged soldier pills to kill the hunger.
Few flickers of Shunshin later and he was dead center on Moon Island's training ground.
Byakugan on, quick 360 scan; coast is clear.
Hands flashed through seals: Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu!
First batch: still nine hundred clones to suck in natural energy; body reinforcement costs hadn't changed, so same number as before.
Staring at the small army in front of him, face cold as ever, he topped off his own chakra then popped a single Wood Clone.
Sealed the nine hundred shadow clones into a scroll, tossed it to the wood clone, and sent that bastard sprinting toward the primeval forest in the northeast of the Land of Fire.
Watched the clone vanish into the treeline, then pulled more chakra from the forehead dimension to top himself off again.
Seals flashed a second time: Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu; round two, motherfuckers.
This batch was for bloodline net development.
His Spirit just got a massive bump, so screw holding back; he nearly doubled the count.
Three hundred shadow clones popped into existence, all wearing the same cocky smirk.
Game on.
