Three days flew by in a flash.
In that time, Seimei wrapped up testing the optimized version of his Body Extreme technique.
Overall, the results were pretty much what he'd hoped for.
First off, the speed of his physical enhancement.
Even though he'd moved back to the lava cave up top, the rate at which his body was strengthening seemed just as fast—if not faster—than when he was training in the harsher environment below.
Based on his experience over the past three days, at this pace, his body's transformation would finish about a week early, around early September.
That had him pretty stoked.
Next up, the evolution of his Byakugan.
While the optimized Body Extreme wasn't focused solely on bloodline evolution anymore, the longer training sessions actually made it more efficient than his previous two-hour daily Byakugan practice.
After testing, he found that a full day of training now earned him about 25 points of Byakugan evolution.
That's only five points more than before, which doesn't sound like much. But here's the thing—this is just the start.
His Body Extreme had only just hit Level 7, and its proficiency hadn't even climbed yet.
Once he improved it, the results would get even better.
And that didn't just apply to his Byakugan—it'd boost his physical training too.
Plus, there was still the harsher environment below waiting for him.
Yup, his tests confirmed that the optimized Body Extreme still got a boost from extreme conditions.
So, once his body could handle the second chamber's environment, training there would crank his progress up another notch.
The thought got his blood pumping.
Sadly, that day wasn't coming anytime soon.
To train Body Extreme, he couldn't use his Lightning Release Chakra Mode for protection—he had to rely purely on his physical body to endure.
And, well, his body wasn't ready for that kind of punishment, nor would it be for a while. Not unless his Constitution stat somehow shot up by two points in a short time.
Which, let's be real, wasn't happening.
So, for now, that dream was on hold.
Still, Seimei was plenty satisfied. Once he grinded Body Extreme to Level 9, the efficiency would be solid enough.
And if he stumbled across some "opportunities" along the way, he might get to that harsher environment even sooner.
With those thoughts swirling, Seimei shifted his focus to the cost of all this.
Yup, the cost.
Everything comes with a price. Faster training meant a bigger sacrifice—it's just how things work.
For him, that price was chakra.
His tests showed that to maintain peak training efficiency, he now needed to pour 4 million chakra points daily into Body Extreme.
Before, his scattered investments in physical training totaled about 870,000 points.
Even adding the 150,000 points for Lightning Release Chakra Mode, that was only 1.02 million.
Sure, he'd also spent 2 million points daily on Body Extreme to evolve his Byakugan.
But even tallying all that up, it was only 3.02 million points.
In other words, this new training method jacked up his chakra consumption by 980,000 points.
That's nearly a third more—a big jump.
Was it worth it?
Seimei's answer: Hell yeah, totally worth it!
Chakra's just a renewable resource for him. Time, though? That's not.
Trading a bit more chakra for a huge boost in training efficiency? He'd make that deal every day of the week.
Plus, he wasn't exactly strapped for chakra.
Even now, he had over 4 million chakra points to spare daily. Diverting some to Body Extreme was no big deal.
On top of that, optimizing Body Extreme meant he no longer needed 50 shadow clones for theoretical research in that area, saving him 500,000 chakra points a day.
So, the actual gap he needed to cover was only 480,000 points.
Not a huge number.
That said, it didn't mean he'd have more chakra left over each day.
In fact, he'd have less than if he'd just burned 980,000 points outright.
Why? It all tied back to the Body Extreme optimization.
Now that his physical training and Byakugan evolution were combined, he didn't need to carve out two hours daily just for Byakugan work.
Likewise, he no longer needed 50 shadow clones to study the fusion of Body Extreme and physical enhancement.
The first change freed up time for other skills.
He had two options: extend his Wood Clone Technique training or use Mind Reflection Technique more to push his Sharingan's evolution.
His body hadn't finished transforming yet, so his Constitution stat hadn't increased. That meant boosting his Mental stat—and thus his Sharingan—too quickly wasn't a good idea.
So, his choice was clear: more time on Wood Clone Technique.
Before, he spent two hours a day on it.
Now, he'd double that to four hours.
Doubling the time meant doubling the chakra cost.
Previously, he used 150,000 points for it. Now, it'd be 300,000, and his proficiency would jump from 600 to 1,200 points.
That added 150,000 chakra points to his daily tab.
As for the second change—without needing 50 clones for Body Extreme research, he could now use all 300 of his shadow clones to develop Dust Release.
That alone increased his chakra consumption by a fifth.
Add in the extra two hours of training time and the frequent use of Flying Thunder God Technique to dodge damage during Dust Release practice, and his chakra cost for that shot up by a third—from 2 million to 3 million points.
All told, his daily chakra surplus dropped from 4.15 million to 2.52 million (= 4.15M - 480K - 150K - 1M).
That's what he meant by having less chakra left over.
But still…
"As long as there's a surplus, I'm good!" he murmured.
Seimei stopped overthinking and pulled up his status panel to check Body Extreme.
Over three days, its proficiency had climbed by 3,000 points.
Considering he was pouring 4 million chakra points into it daily, that meant roughly 4,000 chakra points per proficiency point.
Sounds steep, right?
Not really.
Most of that 4 million was going toward evolving his Byakugan and body.
The reason Body Extreme's proficiency grew so slowly was simple: training it took time, and his daily schedule was limited.
He could only practice it so much each day.
A thousand points a day was about the max.
Even so, at this rate, he'd hit Level 8 in about three weeks.
And when that happened, his training efficiency would climb even higher.
