Gu Feiyan froze in place after hearing the familiar yet unfamiliar voice. Before he can organize his thoughts Qi Ranshe spoke again.
"What? Cat got your tongue?" He said with a harsh menacing voice. "Answer me, is your bastard still alive or your still thinking of using it against me?" He continues
Gu Feiyan's brain couldn't process the whole situation yet before he hears Qi Ranshe speak again. "Gu Feiyan, I'm warning you even if you have- " Gu Feiyan couldn't take it anymore and cut him off.
"Qi Ranshe, are you dreaming or something? So what if my son is still alive? Did I even bother you this past 6 months? You don't have to worry about me using my son to latch on you since that will never happen." Gu Feiyan's voice has a hint of annoyance and anger on it.
He said and then take a deep breath to calm himself. " I will never bother you again so you can just pretend we never existed." After saying that he hung up without even giving Qi Ranshe to speak.
He's too scared on what Qi Ranshe will say after he just said that. He must have think that he was spouting nonsense or was trying to use another method to get his attention again.
After hanging up the call, Gu Feiyan takes a deep breath again to calm down and remind himself that it was the original Gu Feiyan's fault why Qi Ranshe wanted him and his Yanyan dead. ' Seriously...Gu Feiyan you're really good at courting death.' he curse under his breath.
He goes back to the living room where Xia Weichen and his baby at, he was still thinking about his conversation with Qi Ranshe and was worried if that guy suddenly decided to make a move against him and Yanyan.
'What if he sends assassin for me and Yanyan to silence us for good? That usually happens in novels right?...' Gu Feiyan start making multiple scenario on his head.
"Is that Qi Ranshe?" He heard Xia Weichen stern voice behind him pulling out his overthinking.
He turns around to looked at him and sigh. "Yeah, he just checked if Yanyan was still alive." He said, not bothering to mention how Qi Ranshe called his Yanyan a bastard.
Xia Weichen frowned deeply, "Did you keep shamelessly contacting him this past few months?" He asked with suspicion.
Gu Feiyan knows that he was just trying to see whether he truly given up on his previous stupid plan. He couldn't help but smile a little ' Although Xia Weichen has a sharp tongue, he's the only one who truly care with the original Gu Feiyan.' he said in his mind.
"Don't worry, after I gave birth to Yanyan I never contacted him. He did contact after I just got out of the hospital but that was only to warn me." He assured him.
"Hmmp! Well you better be telling the truth because if you keep trying to latch on that Qi Ranshe, don't bother speaking with me again. I don't care if that guy burry you alive!" He said.
'This guy is really a tsundere. He clearly care so much about the Gu Feiyan yet he acts like he don't care at all' he said on his head and even finding Xia Weichen a little cute.
He stepped closer to him and checked if Yanyan was already finished on his milk. "Yes I know. You don't have to worry, if I go against my word you can hit me as much as you want." He said jokingly.
"Who wants to hit you? You think I'm a violent person like you?" He says to him with an angry expression.
Gu Feiyan let out a laugh and shakes his head, "okay okay, I'm the violent one. Our Weichen is such an angel. I'm really lucky to have a friend like you." He said teasing him.
Xia Weichen didn't bother with him and turn his head the other way but Gu Feiyan can see the corner of his lips quivering and his ears were almost the same color as his hair. 'Is he trying to stop himself from smiling?' he said to himself and suppressed his laughter.
After Yanyan was finished on drinking his milk, Gu Feiyan clean him up and put him to sleep so he can catch up with Xia Weichen on what he was doing this past few months.
When they finished catching up with each other, it was already time for lunch, "Weichen come to think of it, you've never tried my cooking yet. Since it was almost time to eat, why don't you join me for lunch?" He offered.
Xia Weichen seem to think about for a minute, "hmmp! Fine but it better be good, if you poison me I'll kill you" he said crossing his arm.
Gu Feiyan let out a laugh, " I will show you why my bakery was very popular."
Gu Feiyan then go to his kitchen to prepare their lunch. He decided to make a few dishes to impress Xia Weichen. Although the novel world he was currently in was very advance in terms of technology, their food couldn't compete with the modern food of his original world.
After a few minutes, a delicious smell came from the kitchen successfully capturing Xia Weichen's attention. From time to time, he look at the kitchen and he start to feel impatient.
When he was about to get up to personally tell Gu Feiyan to hurry up, Gu Feiyan walked out of the kitchen with a pot and put it on the dining table. He turns to face him, "Weichen, go take some plates and utensils on the kitchen. I'll bring out the other dishes as well." He said.
Xia Weichen didn't know when his two feet started walking towards the kitchen, without even realizing it he already has the plates and utensils. After putting down the things on the table he sat down and couldn't help but greedily glance at the pot on the table, he wanted to see what's inside.
At the same time, Gu Feiyan walked out of the kitchen with two huge bowl on each of his hand. " Let me introduce my dishes to you my dear Weichen. This one on the pot is Sweet and sour pork ribs. The one on the left bowl was Shredded pork with garlic sauce and the one on the other bowl was mapo tofu." He said introducing each of the dishes after putting it down.
Xia Weichen look at the unfamiliar yet captivating food in front of him. While he was still looking at the food, Gu Feiyan already put some fried rice on his plate. "Hurry up and start eating."
As if being bring back to reality, Xia Weichen shot him an annoyed look before reaching out to get some dishes. He first try the sweet and sour pork ribs, he let out a satisfied grunt while enjoying the food on his mouth.
"I didn't know that you know how to cook? Since when?" He ask while still chewing and his hand already reaching out to the other dishes.
Gu Feiyan look at him and think of an excuse because he also know that the original Gu Feiyan don't know how to cook and to be honest, all he knows is to dig his own grave.
He first swallow the food he has on his mouth, "I started learning when I gave birth to Yanyan. You know I'm a single mom now so of course I have to start to know how to do things or we're going to starve." He said and secretly observe Xia Weichen's reaction.
Xia Weichen just nod his head in approval, "Well at least your brain was working properly now." He said and continuing to devour the food in front of him.
Gu Feiyan let out a breath and continue eating. He and Xia Weichen had a peaceful lunch but someone on the other side of Star Dragon City was having the opposite.
Qi Ranshe was looking at his communicator with a bewildered look. He couldn't believe that the shameless Gu Feiyan has the nerve to hang up his call.
"Is he planning something again?" He ask to himself while frowning.
