"How... how could this happen? We've reached the worst-case scenario!"

Upon hearing Babidi's proclamation, the Supreme Kai's face turned deathly pale. They had been so careful not to give Babidi any openings to collect energy; they had even defeated the Demon King Dabura. How could Majin Buu have possibly obtained enough power to break the seal?

"Did you really think I lured you into my ship just for a fair fight?" Babidi sneered, relishing the look of pure terror on the Supreme Kai's face. His plan had reached its fruition.

"Majin Buu is about to awaken! We have to run—if we stay here, we'll all be slaughtered!" the Supreme Kai shouted to Goku and the others. The egg containing the monster was shuddering violently, cracks spidering across its surface. The trauma of being dominated by Buu eons ago was etched into the Kai's soul; despite witnessing the incredible power of the Saiyans, he simply couldn't conceive of a victory against such a nightmare.

His original plan had been to eliminate Dabura and Babidi quietly without disturbing the seal. He had never intended to face a fully revived Majin Buu. To him, that was a battle that could not be won.

This guy was clearly traumatized back in the day, George thought, watching the Supreme Kai's near-hysterical reaction. He didn't despise the deity for it. The Supreme Kai wasn't a combat specialist, and he had witnessed Buu systematically murder the Western and Northern Kais before absorbing the Southern and Grand Kais. It was a miracle the youngest and weakest of them had maintained his sanity at all.

"Lord Kai, we aren't running," Goku, Vegeta, and Gohan said in unison, shaking their heads.

First, they had confidence in their combined strength. Second, as martial artists and Saiyans, fleeing before a single blow was struck was simply not in their nature. Finally, if they fled, what would happen to Earth? The Dragon Balls were a safety net, but no one wanted to resort to resurrection if they could protect the living.

"You... you all!" the Supreme Kai stammered, at a loss for words. Though they respected his title, they clearly weren't going to follow his lead on this. "Listen to me! If we leave now, Babidi will realize he can't control Buu. He'll have to seal him away again, and that is when we strike and kill Babidi." That was, after all, how he had dealt with Bibidi in the past.

"Lord Kai, I think you should take a deep breath," George said, stepping forward with a calm smile. "The scenario you're describing is the best-case one, but Babidi isn't stupid. He saw what happened to his father; he's unlikely to make the same mistake. If he's releasing Buu now, he likely believes he has a method of control. Rather than waiting for disaster, we should take the initiative. I can capture him and read his memory to find the sealing incantation myself."

The fact that the relatively weak Bibidi and Babidi could seal a monster like Buu suggested the sealing magic was incredibly potent—far more efficient than the Evil Containment Wave, which required the user to be nearly as strong as the target or risk death. As one of the few true sorcerers in this universe, Babidi's knowledge was a goldmine for George's understanding of local magic.

"That's a brilliant idea!" the group exclaimed. They had already seen George extract Babidi's location from the minds of his henchmen; doing the same to the wizard himself was the logical next step.

"Let's do it!" the Supreme Kai agreed instantly.

In a flash of light, George vanished and reappeared directly behind Babidi. The wizard shrieked, frantically conjuring a magical barrier around himself. "You can't kill me! If I die, no one can seal the monster!"

"Don't you worry about that," George replied. He placed a hand against the barrier, activating his Devouring Magic. The shield dissolved in an instant, and George delivered a precise palm strike to the back of Babidi's head. Within seconds, the wizard's entire life's knowledge was downloaded into George's mind.

"Masenko!" Piccolo roared, seizing the opening. A concentrated blast of energy vaporized Babidi's physical form, erasing him from existence.

"Did you get it?" the Supreme Kai asked, rushing over.

George nodded. "I need about thirty minutes to process the incantation and master the mana flow. You'll need to hold Buu off until then." In reality, he could master it in two minutes, but he needed to keep the "performance" going for the sake of the plot.

"Thirty minutes... alright, we can do that," the Kai sighed, relieved. Even if they couldn't hold out that long, he figured he could teleport George to the Sacred World of the Kai to finish his studies before returning.

"Thirty minutes? By then, there might not be anything left to seal," Vegeta remarked, crossing his arms and staring at the egg with arrogant confidence. Aside from Kakarot, he believed no one in the universe could match his current power.

As Vegeta spoke, the egg split open. Instead of a monster, a massive geyser of pink steam erupted into the sky, forming a thick, sentient cloud.

"This Majin Buu... he's not as simple as he looks," Goku said, his expression turning grim as he sensed the erratic, massive pressure within the pink mist.

"What terrifying Ki!" Piccolo and Krillin staggered back. Their combat power might have been lower, but their ability to sense energy was as sharp as anyone's. The pink cloud suddenly condensed, coalescing into a large, pink, doughy figure: the legendary Majin Buu.

"It's in your hands now," George said. He, along with the Supreme Kai, Piccolo, and Krillin, retreated to a nearby cliff. George sat down and closed his eyes, pretending to enter a deep meditative state to learn the spell, though his spiritual sense remained firmly locked on the battlefield.

As expected, the three Saiyans didn't team up immediately. Goku wanted a 1-on-1 match. His obsession with martial arts was his greatest strength and his most glaring weakness; it was why he always stayed a step ahead of Vegeta, but it also turned simple clean-ups into prolonged catastrophes.

Boom!

The battle between Goku and Buu was explosive. The shockwaves leveled Babidi's ship in seconds, and the fight moved from the subterranean depths into the open sky.

"Oh no, Goku's falling behind!" Krillin shouted as he watched Super Saiyan 2 Goku get sent spiraling by a heavy kick from the pink monster.

"Goku can't win like this!" the Supreme Kai yelled to Vegeta and Gohan. "Go help him! You have to hold out for thirty minutes!"

Vegeta ignored him, but Gohan hesitated. "Dad hasn't asked for help yet. He must have something left in the tank."

Is he hiding another level from me? Dammit, how far ahead has he gotten? Vegeta thought, gritting his teeth. He could see that despite being pushed back, Kakarot looked remarkably composed.

"You really are something," Goku said, wiping a bit of dust from his chin. "In that case, let me show you what happens when I go beyond the level that surpassed a Super Saiyan!"

Under the shocked gazes of everyone present, Goku began to roar. His Ki surged exponentially, the sheer volume of energy so massive that the entire Earth began to tremble.

"Kakarot!" Vegeta's jaw dropped.

"This power... it's equal to Buu's!" the Supreme Kai gasped, feeling a flicker of true hope for the first time.

George, however, shook his head inwardly. He knew Super Saiyan 3 Goku couldn't win this. It wasn't a matter of combat power—SSJ3 was technically stronger than this version of Buu—but a matter of stamina. Goku had mastered this form in the Afterlife where energy consumption was negligible. In the living world, the drain was catastrophic.

Furthermore, Buu possessed near-instantaneous regeneration. Unless you completely vaporized every atom of his being in one shot, he would just keep coming. SSJ3 Goku didn't have the sustained output to pull that off.

Just as George predicted, once Goku went all out, he dominated the fight. Buu was being pummeled, his body riddled with holes from energy blasts, but he regenerated every time.

"I'm mad! I'm really, really mad! I'm going to turn you into chocolate and eat you!" Buu screamed, his body steaming with fury. He had never been humiliated like this.

Realizing he couldn't win the slugfest, Buu's eyes darted toward the spectators on the cliff. In a pink blur, he ignored Goku and lunged toward Vegeta.

"Watch out!" Goku shouted, charging to intervene. With his superior speed, he should have made it. But suddenly, his body seized up—the strain of Super Saiyan 3 hit him like a physical wall, slowing him down for a crucial second.

In that heartbeat, Majin Buu liquefied, wrapping around a completely caught-off-guard Vegeta and absorbing him. He didn't stop there, immediately lunging for Gohan and pulling him into the pink mass as well.

By the time Goku reached them, it was over. Buu had grown taller and more defined, his power now dwarfing that of a drained Super Saiyan 3 Goku. With a brutal flurry of blows, Goku was knocked out of his transformation and sent crashing to the earth, severely wounded.

As Buu loomed over the fallen Saiyan to deliver the killing blow, George opened his eyes.

"My turn to step in," he whispered.

In a blur of motion, George appeared directly in front of the monster. He chanted the ancient words with lightning speed, and a cage of shimmering magical energy slammed shut around Majin Buu.

"GYAAAH!"

The once-triumphant monster let out a piercing shriek as the magic forced his body to compress, shrinking him back into a harmless, fleshy ball that thudded onto the grass.
