Chapter 5 - "ACADEMY DAY 1"

✨ please, Take your time to read. ✨

—"Perfect, perfect!"— Samantha shouts before standing up and grabbing a book in front of Hades, writing down several formulas.

Seeing this, Alastor pats his forehead ruefully before letting out a sigh. Now, the only thing left for them to do was move to a more comfortable spot, or they'd end up ruining the library's cubicles.

"Okay, Hades, now what you need to do is learn Fireball and Sphere of Protection to attack and defend against magical attacks, while Summoning and Battle Aura are for defense and physical attacks," Samantha says, as if she were ordering a soda and chips over the intercom. But she hadn't finished because she then adds, "When you're done, you need to reach stage 2 to see how much spiritual energy you gain by leveling up."

—"That's enough, Samantha! That's enough!" —Alastor shouts and tries to step between the woman and the boy, but Samantha doesn't even look back and approaches Hades with her notes. —"Look, this is the program you need to follow."— she said, showing her final notes on the pages of the book..

At this point, the woman turned back to Alastor and said, —"Go get the aforementioned skill books, but remember to bring a printed copy as well."— This left the Custodian speechless.

Alastor is one of the security personnel in this building, and at this moment he has to play the role of messenger. Just as he's about to refuse, another person enters the room.

—"What on earth are you doing? There's a commotion outside, to the point that I've been called."— commented Principal Alexandra, pointing to a group of young people trying to peek into the room from a distance.

Both Alastor and Samantha looked outside, but immediately put that group of students at the bottom of their list of priorities.

—"Sister, it's good you're here,"— Samantha said, then showed the notes in the book. —"Look, look, this is the program Hares must follow."—

—"It's Hades, silly girl." — Alastor remarked.

—"Whatever, the boy doesn't care." Samantha replied, pointing at Hades, who was just settling into the armchair as if what she'd said had nothing to do with him.

—"Oh, it's good that you already know each other."— before checking the notes in the book. —"And how efficient is your program.?"— Alexandra asked, still looking at the different notes.

Samantha added. —"It's about 80% feasible, but there are still variables we must consider when the boy advances to the next stage..."—

—"What factors?" — Alastor asked.

—"Mainly his physical strength and spiritual capacity. "— Samantha replied.

—"In what way.?"— Hades asked.

—"We know you're above average talent, but we don't know by how much. To give you a clearer idea, average talent (class D) is three times higher than very bad talent (class F)." — Samantha explains, and both Alastor and Alexandra nod.

—"Perfect. When do we start.?"— Alexandra asks, more excited than Hades himself.

Samantha points to Alastor. —"We'll wait until the old man decides whether or not to go get the skill books and their corresponding copies." — At that moment, the three of them return to see the quartermaster.

—"Hurry up, old man. I don't have all day,"— Samantha says lazily, adding, —"Do you expect us all to grow as old as you.?"—

Alastor is about to reply, but Alexandra speaks first. —"Perfect, I need a detailed report of this event."—

Without a second thought, Alastor immediately heads to the counter.

—"By the way, Sister, we also need a summoning book for the undead."—

—"Undead.?"—

Samantha simply nods a couple of times in silence.

—"Just skeletons, or zombies too? You know the zombie one is really rare. Why not a skill to summon Beasts instead? They're cheaper and easier to get..."— Alexandra's face wrinkles more and more as they talk about summoning books free.

Samantha rolls her eyes. —"For God's sake, sister, you have more than ten books on summoning the undead."— Alexandra immediately replies,.—"Yes, but they're mine, and they've been with me for over two years."—

—"Perfect, then I'll call Mom and ask for a couple of books. I can tell her about Hades,—" Samantha says, trying to blackmail her.

—"Oh yeah, then I'll call Dad and a couple of uncles so they know about the boy's situation,"— Alexandra says defiantly. But Samantha retorts, —"Are you ready, little sister? You know they'll take him away from you in a couple of weeks."—

Alexandra sighed ruefully. —"You know, if we don't tell our families in a week or two, they'll find out on their own."—

—"That's right, you're right. So what do we do?"— Samantha asked excitedly.

—"Stop making up stories like that in your head,"— Alexandra said, and Samantha's face completely fell. —"Let's change places. I don't want this kid to ruin the library,"— Alexandra said, heading for the exit, followed by Samantha and then Hades.

Once outside the room, they only had to wait a few minutes for Alastor before heading to the training grounds.

Before leaving the library, Alastor deducted 4400 contribution points for four skill books and their respective copies.

The skill books included: Fireball, Battle Aura, Protective Sphere, and a minor healing skill: Heal.

The first to take the books is Alexandra, who checks them and then passes them to Samantha. —"Are you sure?"—

Samantha simply nods and hands the first skill book to Hades. —"Hold it and surround it with your spiritual energy."— Following the instruction, the boy does as he's told, and seconds later the book glows, transforms into hundreds of points of light that travel to his chest. As they enter his body, these luminous points disappear as if they never existed.

Seconds later, Alastor asks curiously, —"What's it like?"—

—"In my chest, it feels like a warmth is unlocked."—

—"Perfect. Just wait until you enter the training grounds, or you'll be suspended for three months for destroying academy property."— Samantha remarks with a bright smile.

—"Just remember that every skill must be practiced."— Before Alexandra could continue her motivational speech.

Samantha interrupted her, shouting, —"The training grounds are over there!"— With that, the girl ran off, followed by Alastor. They looked like children having fun... Fortunately for them, the only one who couldn't run was Hades, who had to listen to the entire speech.

From the moment he received the skill book until entering the training grounds, paying 100 contribution points for its use, 10 minutes had passed.

—"Okay, now try to use the skill, but if you don't master the spell on the first try no..."— Before Samantha could finish speaking, Hades already had a small, perfectly formed ping-pong ball made of fire in the palm of his hand.

[Ding.]

A small bell rang, and the holo-watcher screen lit up, followed by a message. [Congratulations! !!! You have received 10,000 points for mastering a basic skill in the shortest possible time.]

Upon hearing the bell, everyone is surprised and even wants to ask what's happening, but Alexandra stops them, shaking her head and gesturing with her lips—"You must wait, or we'll be in trouble."—preventing Hades from losing control again.

Only five minutes have passed since the message, and Hades already has the ping-pong ball in his hand under control.

When the three realize this, Alastor comments aloud,— "Good, now throw the ball forward."— Hades nods and immediately does so. The small fireball travels slowly toward a thick wall of compressed earth.

Upon hitting the wall, the sphere disintegrates.

—"Good, now throw as many as you can in the shortest time possible until you run out of strength." — What happens next is beyond all expectations.

Hades began launching fireball after fireball at the wall, until the wall was stained with a black layer where all the fireballs had impacted. Alexandra and her companions gasped in disbelief.

It's well known that a person with average talent can generate 8 to 10 fireballs, of which 1 or 2 will land successfully, but Hades generates one fireball per second.

When Hades launched 100 fireballs in 1 minute and 40 seconds, a new message sounded on his holo-watch. The sound repeated itself at 500 fireballs, 800, and finally 1000. The three people behind him were already numb from hearing these sounds, so they weren't even surprised.

At 1002, the boy had to take a ten-minute break, thanks to his extraordinary ability. [SSS "Divine Efficiency: X¹⁰⁰..] It only takes up 1% of the total to achieve 100% efficiency.

Before starting the second round, Samantha speaks up. —"Wait, kid, wait, now you need to learn the other three skills and use them while shooting fireballs."—

Error...

If what we saw before was crazy, what followed was beyond imagination.

Hades activates the defensive spell Sphere and simultaneously activates Battle Aura.

With one hand he launches fireballs, and with the other he unleashes Heal.

Although this time Hades takes a much shorter break, Samantha stops him again and looks at her sister.. —"You must hand over the Undead Summoning ability, or we'll be here all day."— Alexandra reluctantly agrees, not without complaining as much as she can, while handing over the summoning book...

So this time Samantha gives the following instruction:— "Alastor, destroy all the skeletons the boy summons."—

This time it's the Intendant Alastor who mutters under his breath, while Alexandra smiles with satisfaction at seeing the Intendant's misfortune in destroying every skeleton Hades summons.

Only 10 skeletons were summoned, nine more than a person of average talent.

When the third break arrived, training stopped..

—"Alright, you can go home. That's all for today. You can continue training tomorrow, just don't overdo it."— With his body sweating, Hades nodded at Samantha's instructions and waited to recover a bit before leaving the training field.

After Hades left the training field, Alexandra asked, —"Why did you stop the boy, Samantha?"— Upon hearing her sister's question, Samantha first adjusted her glasses, cleared her throat, and replied, —"In one or two breaks, Hades will advance to the next stage.."—

—"And that's not good?"— Alastor asked, looking doubtful.

—"Obviously, he's very good.,"— Samantha replied to the superintendent's question, then continued, —"Raising his stage today or tomorrow doesn't matter, but the boy has to return home today, and tomorrow he'll move to the academy."—

—"Oh, you don't want his foster home to find out about his talent.?" —Alastor retorted.

—"No, not at all, but it's a way to delay the news of his talent a little longer..,"— Samantha replied, then asked, —"By the way, how many system messages did that boy receive.?"—

—"I don't know, but let me see."— With that, Alexandra checked the bounties on her holo-watcher, her mouth falling open in disbelief. —"Damn, that brat received 200,000 points. I think it would be better to sell those duplicate summoning books."—

—"By the way, did anyone notice that the boy's spells were getting stronger.?"— Alastor asked.

Alexandra's face looks puzzled. —"In what way.?"—

—"With each summoning, the skeletons get stronger, and the same goes for the other spells like fireballs, sphere, healing, and her battle aura,." —Samantha replies and continues. —"Goodness, didn't you notice? I think those spells will eventually evolve."—

Alexandra nods as if it's the most natural thing in the world. "I'm not surprised if she succeeds. Who else can throw more than 20,000 fireballs to the point where the system itself rewards it.?" —She finishes by pointing to her wristwatch.

—"Sister, what's next.?"— Samantha asks excitedly.(❁´◡`❁)

Alexandra immediately replies. —"Going to the office to finish aventure some paperwork. Do you want to come.?"— Samantha quickly shakes her head. —"Forget it, I'm not going. I'd better call Mom and tell her about the boy..."—

On his way out of the Academy, Hades notices a sign.

<< Points for Gold Coins >>

One point for 10 gold coins.

When Hades excitedly approaches the exchange booth, the other students look at him like he's crazy. But what do these people know about life if they've never gone hungry.?
