The dozen practitioners led by the half-step supreme didn't actually disappear into thin air; they entered a vortex and then were no longer seen.
"That must be a spatial node, but I don't know what's beyond it," Chen Nan muttered to himself with furrowed brows as he gazed at the distance.
He waited a few breaths' time before flying to the vortex's location. Scanning it with his divine sense, he found nothing.
With his current cultivation, he simply could not peer beyond this spatial node.
