Jackson sat in the office, looking sinister and deep in thought, his eyes unfocused as they stared out the window, his mood terrible. Just moments ago, the President had called him over and gave him a severe reprimand. Although he wasn't dismissed or investigated, it carried a hint of frustration. In the system of the Sam Country, the President isn't omnipotent, and Jackson's repeated failures made the President not only embarrassed but also difficult to deal with.
Jackson was very grateful for the President's recognition. He didn't argue, didn't talk back, or even complain, silently enduring the President's wrath. He was well aware that he had only one more chance, and if he couldn't redeem himself this time, he'd be stepping down or even facing a military tribunal.
