Ten minutes later, the darkness grew even deeper. Although the bright moonlight scattered over the vast primal forest, the light was blocked by tall trees, leaving the ground shrouded in shadows, pitch black, and visibility reduced further. The night wind rustled tirelessly, shaking the trees and creating rustling sounds, as if birds and beasts sensed danger and hid from sight.
A wide valley shone as bright as day, with the searchlights atop tall wooden towers sweeping the surroundings, illuminating the entire valley. You could clearly see the tents inside the valley, patrol teams, and soldiers lounging around campfires, playing cards and chatting. The boisterous laughter could be heard from afar.
