In the vastness of the mountain range, 200 Silver Cloth Assassins stood atop a steep peak.
Beneath them, countless Mutated Beasts swarmed the base of the mountain. They threw their heads back and roared at the summit, looking as if they wanted to tear the assassins limb from limb and devour them whole. From a distant valley, fresh waves of Mutated Beasts continuously appeared out of thin air. They would fill the valley, then charge out roaring, joining the horde surrounding the mountain and bellowing their fury upward. Yet, the mountain was too high and its slopes too sheer for them to climb.
"What—what is that?" a Silver Cloth Assassin suddenly exclaimed, pointing into the distance.
"Hmm?" The others followed his gaze, and all their pupils instantly contracted.
