Du Canglang took Ye Qing with him, traveling non-stop for three days and nights, changing cars five or six times, from the Western Province to the Central Plains, only stopping when he was sure no one was following them.
To avoid attracting attention, Du Canglang didn't take Ye Qing into the city but had the driver keep driving along a small road in the outskirts.
At first, the driver didn't mind, but the further they went, the more desolate it became, and ahead there was no road, making the driver start to worry. He wanted to turn back several times, but was persuaded by Du Canglang's heavy bribes, preventing him from leaving Ye Qing and Du Canglang behind and retreating. They kept driving until the end of the road, where it became forest, and there was no road ahead, leaving the driver with no choice.
"Sir, there's really no way to go further," the driver turned around and looked at Du Canglang helplessly, saying, "Sir, why don't you get off here?"
