Chapter 83 - Bloodline of Fear

The moment that massive, wrestler-built man heard the doctor say that Raj's private parts had been brutally crushed, his eyes burned red with rage. Without a second thought, he grabbed the doctor by the collar and lifted him straight into the air like he weighed nothing.

The sudden attack shattered the doctor's composure—fear flooded his face as he struggled helplessly, his voice trembling as he shouted,

"Mr. Kamal Khurana, please let me go! What I told you is the truth—and it's a truth no doctor in the world can change. I'm sorry to say this, but whoever did this… they didn't just hurt him… they smashed his private parts into pulp. Saving his life itself was a challenge for me. In such a condition, a man has less than a ten percent chance of surviving. Please… calm down!"

Kamal Khurana—the wealthy, powerful man—glared at the doctor with fury blazing in his eyes. His grip tightened for a moment before he spoke, his voice cold and dangerous,

"Doctor… do whatever it takes. Fix my brother. I don't care about the money."

With that, he threw the doctor back down. The doctor stumbled, barely managing to keep his balance, relief washing over him as he realized he was still alive. Stammering, he said,

"Sir… I'll try my best. I'll do everything I can."

Kamal turned his gaze toward Raj—his younger brother—lying there in that miserable state. His jaw clenched, teeth grinding as anger boiled inside him.

"Idiot Raj… I don't understand how someone like you was even born into the Khurana family. And on top of that, you're my younger brother. If this gets out… what will happen to my reputation? To father's reputation? How many times have you been told to control yourself? To focus on your work? To not drag the family name through the dirt? But you never listen—to me or to father."

He paused, his eyes narrowing as he stared at Raj's unconscious body.

"Honestly… I should be happy seeing you like this. But because of you, people might start questioning our power… our respect. And that…"

His voice dropped, turning darker, deadlier.

"…I don't like."

He slowly turned his head, scanning the room like a predator hunting for answers.

"I don't understand… who in this city suddenly found the courage to mess with the Khurana Empire? Who dared to lay a hand on a Khurana?"

His sharp gaze snapped toward the doctor.

"Doctor… who brought him here?"

The doctor immediately straightened, fear still visible on his face.

"Sir… Mrs. Rekha Kathwani brought him here… along with her son. Her son's condition is also critical. Both of them are in a coma. But… Mrs. Rekha is outside."

The moment Kamal heard that, he glanced at one of his bodyguards. Without needing a word, the man understood and quickly stepped out of the ward.

A few moments later, he returned—this time with Rekha.

She walked in slowly, fear written all over her face. She was wearing a blue saree, clutching her pallu tightly as she wiped her tears again and again. Her hands trembled, her breathing uneven.

The moment she stepped inside, Kamal walked toward her. His eyes were filled with rage, his presence suffocating.

"What happened to my brother?" he demanded, his voice sharp like a blade. "What trouble have you dragged him into this time?"

Rekha froze.

Inside, she was shaking uncontrollably—and now, even on the outside, her body was drenched in sweat. Her lips parted, but no words came out.

Seeing her stand there in silence, Kamal suddenly roared,

"Speak!"

The thunder in his voice made her flinch violently. She trembled and finally forced herself to speak, her voice breaking,

"Kamal… Kamal, son… I… I don't know anything. I only know that Raj spoke to me—he said he wanted to meet my niece, and I agreed. After that… I don't know what happened or how it happened. I was supposed to arrange their meeting… but yesterday morning, when I woke up in my house… I saw my son and Raj lying in the hall… in terrible condition."

Her breath hitched as tears rolled down her face.

"I got scared and brought them straight to the hospital. That's all I know… I swear…"

What Rekha didn't know… was that the entire memory of that night had been erased from her mind—from Raj's mind—and from her son's mind as well.

Om had wiped it clean.

No matter how hard she tried, nothing came back. Just a blank void where that night should have been.

But the man standing in front of her…

Kamal Khurana.

Managing Director of the Khurana Empire. The next in line to become its CEO.

A name people whispered with fear.

It was said that he and his father had done whatever it took—anything—to push their empire to the top. Blood had been spilled. Lives had been taken.

People avoided becoming his enemy…

Because behind that powerful, wrestler-like physique…

Kamal Khurana was ruthless. Cruel. Merciless.

For a moment, after hearing her explanation, he simply stared at her—his eyes cold, murderous.

And then suddenly—

His hand shot forward.

He grabbed her by the throat.

"First of all," he said in a low, terrifying voice, tightening his grip, "stop calling me 'son.' I don't have any mother named Rekha. And even if I did… she wouldn't be a filthy woman like you."

Rekha's eyes widened as she gasped for air, her hands clutching his wrist, trying desperately to free herself.

"Don't try to build relations with me like you did with my brother," he continued, his voice dripping with venom. "Because if you do… I won't even leave you a grave."

He leaned closer, his grip tightening further.

"Now tell me… what exactly did your son and my brother do together? Because you know the consequences. And you also know…"

A dark smile appeared on his face.

"…my hands and my tongue both have a taste for blood."

Terror consumed Rekha completely. Her heart pounded wildly against her chest as she struggled to breathe.

"Sir… I… I'm telling the truth… I don't know anything… please let me go… I'm sorry…" she cried, her voice choking with pain.

But Kamal didn't let go.

Instead, his fingers dug deeper into her neck.

"How many times have you been told," he growled, "to stop trapping my brother in your web? Because of a woman like you… my father and I have faced enough problems because of this useless Raj."

His eyes burned with fury.

"And after today… whatever problems come our way because of this incident—remember this…"

His voice dropped into a deadly whisper.

"You'll be the one paying the price."

Rekha's vision began to blur. Her breathing grew weaker.

"You better find out… as soon as possible…" he continued, tightening his grip even more,

"…who did this to my brother."

His fingers pressed harder.

"Or else…"

Her body began to go limp…

Her breath… slowly fading…
