After their deaths, Andrew had to focus on what he had decided to do. Finishing medical school and becoming a doctor. Andrew hadn't fully decided on a specialisation, but he did eventually decide that he wanted to focus on pediatrics, but that he also wanted his own office. He wanted his own practise, somewhere that others could relax, without the hum of hospital lights and the fear that drove some people.
Maxwell thought that was a great idea, since Andrew was so good with kids and most kids gravitated towards him. Andrew was grateful that Maxwell supported him fully in this, but they did have to have a hard conversation. Andrew was going to have to focus on his residency, and while it aligned with the twins going into school and daycare, he didn't want to burden Maxwell again until he was done with school.
