Ryu watched me with his arms crossed, his usually jovial expression serious for a change. "You're tough, Aldrich. I'll give you that. But it's still not enough."
His words stung, but I nodded, knowing he was right. My body was strong, but it wasn't enough. Not yet.
"We're going to take your training to the next level," Ryu said, a gleam in his eye that made me uneasy. "The technique I'm about to teach you is not for the faint of heart. It's called the Tyrant Body."
I raised an eyebrow. "Tyrant Body?"
He nodded. "It's a technique that hardens your body to the point where it's almost impenetrable. But getting there… well, it's going to hurt. A lot."
I swallowed, feeling a mix of anticipation and dread. "I'm ready."
"GUAHAHAHA! We'll see about that," Ryu said, clapping me on the back. "Let's get started."
The first day of Tyrant Body training was brutal. Ryu didn't hold back, pushing me beyond what I thought was possible. He started with a series of exercises designed to break down my body's natural defenses, weakening me so that I could rebuild stronger.
"Focus, Aldrich!" Ryu shouted as I struggled through another set of push-ups. My arms trembled, and I could feel my muscles tearing under the strain. I don't even count again after a thousand.
"Your body's going to scream at you to stop, but you can't listen to it. Push through the pain. That's the only way to grow stronger," Ryu continued, his voice unwavering.
CRACK!
I winced as I felt something in my arm give way, a sharp pain shooting through my entire body. I gritted my teeth, refusing to give in to the pain.
"That's it, Aldrich! Keep going!" Ryu urged, his eyes blazing with intensity.
I forced myself to continue with the other training, even as my vision blurred and my body trembled with exhaustion. My muscles burned, I could feel blood seeping from the cracks in my skin, my body failing to heal as quickly as it had before.
But I didn't stop.
Finally, after what felt like hours, Ryu called for a break. I collapsed onto the ground, gasping for breath. My body was battered, bruised, and bleeding, and every inch of me screamed in agony.
Ryu knelt beside me, his expression unreadable. "You did good, Aldrich."
I nodded weakly, barely able to move. "I… I can keep going."
"Not today," Ryu said firmly. "Your body needs time to recover. But don't get comfortable. Tomorrow will be even harder."

The days blurred together as Ryu continued to push me to my limits. The Tyrant Body training was unlike anything I'd ever experienced. It was different from the [Iron Body] skill, but it's improving it.
But with each day, I could feel myself growing stronger. My body was hardening, my muscles becoming more resilient. I could withstand more pain, take more hits without crumbling. The training was working, but it was also changing me in ways I hadn't anticipated.
On the fifth day, something shifted within me. As I pushed through another grueling set of exercises, a strange sensation washed over me. It was as if my body had reached a tipping point, the agony suddenly giving way to a cold, hard resolve.
Ding!
A familiar chime echoed in my mind, and a system notification appeared before my eyes.
[System Notification]
[Congratulations! You have evolved a skill: Iron Body => Iron Tyrant Body.
Description: Your body has undergone intense physical conditioning, resulting in a hardened physique that is resistant to damage. Your defense has increased significantly. This skill can be evolved into higher tiers with continued training.]
I stared at the notification, barely able to comprehend what I was seeing. The skill was finally evolved.
I closed my eyes, reaching out to Eos through our connection. "Eos, what's this about? Can you explain?"
The system responded with its usual monotone voice. [The Iron Tyrant Body is the result of your intense physical conditioning. It increases your defense and resilience, making your body more resistant to damage. With continued training, this skill can evolve into higher tiers, further enhancing your physical capabilities.]
"So it can get even stronger?" I asked, my mind racing.
"Yes," Eos replied. "However, the evolution of this skill will require even more rigorous training and extreme physical endurance. Be prepared for the challenges ahead."
I let out a slow breath, my resolve hardening. "I'm ready."
"It feels like your body is growing stronger again?" Ryu said, rubbing his chin thoughtfully. "Seems like the Tyrant Body have improved your body."
I nodded. "And you've mastered it?"
Ryu chuckled, a rare hint of humility in his voice. "I wouldn't say I've mastered it, but I've come close. It's not something you ever truly perfect. There's always room for improvement."
"Why did you decide to teach it to me?" I asked, genuinely curious.
Ryu looked at me for a long moment before answering. "Because I see something in you, Aldrich. You've got the potential to go far, but you need more than just raw power. You need resilience, the ability to take whatever the world throws at you and keep moving forward. The Tyrant Body is just the beginning."
I felt a surge of gratitude. "Thank you, Ryu."
"GUAHAHAHA!" Ryu laugh like a mad man. "But don't thank me just yet. We've still got a long way to go."

The training continued, but now there was a new focus. Ryu began incorporating mental exercises into the regimen, pushing me to strengthen my mind as well as my body. Meditation, focus drills, and visualization exercises became a regular part of my routine, helping me to hone my concentration and mental fortitude.
But the physical training remained the most intense. Ryu increased the difficulty of the exercises, forcing me to push past my limits every day. The pain was excruciating, but I could feel the Iron Tyrant Body skill growing stronger with each passing day.
And then, one day, something unexpected happened.
Ryu had me sparring with him, testing the limits of my new skill. His attacks were relentless, each strike designed to break through my defenses and force me to rely on the Iron Tyrant Body to withstand the damage.
BAM!
Ryu's fist connected with my ribs, and I felt the bones crack under the impact. Pain flared through my body, but I gritted my teeth and kept fighting. My vision blurred, but I refused to back down.
"Come on, Aldrich!" Ryu taunted, his eyes gleaming with challenge.
I growled in frustration, pushing through the pain and launching a counterattack. My movements were slower than usual, the pain in my side making it difficult to focus. But I didn't stop. I couldn't afford to.
Ryu's next strike was aimed at my head, but I managed to deflect it with a quick block. The force of the blow sent me staggering back, but I recovered quickly, countering with a punch of my own.
THUD!
My fist connected with Ryu's chest, and I felt a surge of satisfaction as I saw him take a step back. But the moment was short-lived, as Ryu immediately retaliated with a powerful kick to my abdomen.
CRACK!
I doubled over, gasping for breath as the pain radiated through my body. But even as I struggled to stand, something inside me shifted.
Ding!
Another system notification appeared, this one different from the last.
[System Notification]
[Congratulations! Your skill [Iron Tyrant Body] has evolved into [Steel Tyrant Body].
Description: Your body has reached a new level of hardness, significantly increasing your defense and resilience. Your regeneration speed has also improved, allowing you to recover from injuries faster.]
I barely had time to process the notification before Ryu was on me again, his attacks coming faster and harder than before. But something was different. The pain was still there, but it was dulled, as if my body had grown accustomed to it. And the wounds that had been slowing me down were healing faster, my regeneration skill working in overdrive.
Ryu noticed the change immediately. "Ah, there it is! I knew you had it in you!"
I didn't have time to respond as he launched another attack, forcing me to focus on the fight. But even as I dodged and countered, I could feel the Steel Tyrant Body taking effect, my movements becoming more fluid and my strikes more powerful.
The sparring session lasted longer than usual, but I managed to hold my own, landing several solid hits on Ryu and withstanding his relentless assault. By the time he finally called a halt, I was drenched in sweat and covered in bruises, but I felt stronger than ever.
Ryu clapped me on the back, his grin wide. "You did good, Aldrich. Real good. You've got the makings of a true warrior."
