Chapter 3 - Teleport and invisibility. Part 1

It's the middle of the night.

Mirai slept on a chair in the medical center and watched over Tama, who was sleeping and isolated from external threats.

Mirai had a dream. In it, she walked along the corridor of her organization's center. Everything was casual, when suddenly the alarm went off and a bunch of energy, fire and lightning fell from the ceiling, which continued to pierce the floors. Mirai went to the cliff to look down, but the floor split under her feet and she also fell down...

Mirai woke up abruptly due to the indicators shining red. The interface showed high levels of heat and cold at the same time. Mirai quickly started flipping the switches and everything stopped. The condition returned to normal. Mirai looked at the tablet and wrote something down. Then she sat down at the armchair again.

Morning.

Glory, Ray, and Fleur were having breakfast in the kitchen. A sleepy Lex came up with the words.

— Good morning, what are you eating? And without me?

Ray spoke.

— Good morning, you were sleeping so soundly that we didn't wake you up.

— I wasn't really dozing.

Fleur in a serious voice.

— I woke you up about six times, and you kept muttering to yourself and falling back down...

— Heh, big deal...

Lex walked up to Glory, who was silent, and slapped him on the back.

— Why are you so sad?

The kid jerked from the blow and said.

— I would have looked at you if a wolf had almost bitten you first, then a big monkey threw you into a trash can, in which you almost fried yourself...

— That's how I would have defeated them...

Glory sighed and tossed a piece of chicken into Rapi's bowl without appetite. The dog was lying nearby without touching the food.

Ray, after the vibration from the message, said.

— Mirai says to go study without her after breakfast...

And so it happened, the guys gathered outside near the stage with equipment and in costumes after the meal. Rapi was lying in the shade and watching. Glory, who was standing by some kind of machine, spoke up.

— Now we're going to detect your abilities through sensors and blah blah blah, — the guy pressed a button and then exclaimed, — Let's go!"

First there was Fleur. There was a tennis cannon 10 meters in front of him. Ray checked the power, waited for it to be ready, and started the car.

Fleur's goal was to survive. He didn't feel the first 10 balls, then Ray increased his speed, then more and more, until he reached the maximum. The balls flew so fast that it was barely possible to keep track of them, but they all pushed off from Fleur without causing him any harm.

At that time, Glory was training with Lex, competing with him. First they threw tennis balls, then discs, then it came to chairs. They found out that their powers are about the same. But for Lex, the object flew normally, and for Glory, it could fly a long distance without losing speed, but eventually fall.

Then, to resolve the dispute, Glory suggested breaking the tablet. Lex came up and easily broke through it, after which he said.

— Now you.

Glory took out a tablet and started writing something down.

— No, your data is enough. And shouting to the others. — How long are you still here!?

Ray replied.

— I can't tell how hard you can hit him!

— So it's not a problem! Come on, Luthor...

They surrounded Fleur and prepared to throw shells. Ray started the car.

— Here we go!

Tennis balls, discs, and even chairs flew at Fleur, but he didn't care. The tennis balls ran out, and then Lex couldn't stand it and threw a punch in the jump. Fleur didn't budge.

Lex shook the dust off his friend and said.

— Okay, I'm giving you a head start for now.

Ray's phone vibrated. He looked at the message and shouted.

— Guys, send, Mirai is calling!

Lex threw his hand over Fleur.

— Well, tell me, isn't it juicy? Fa-a, I would blow.

After gathering everyone except Tama in the garage, Mirai said.

— Two more potential people with superpowers have appeared in the city.

Glory asked.

— Which ones are known?

— Presumably by distorting space, they won't do much harm, but they can cause trouble. Moreover, they are both in different parts of the city, so we will have to split up – two per object and one will stay to look after Tama.

Glory suggested it.

— I can. I survived an outbreak once, and now can!

Lex spoke up.

— Oh, I also want to see how the medical center is on fire...

Mirai screamed.

— So, nothing and no where will burn. Why did you decide that at all?

Glory spoke up.

— Well, you know, in one comic book there is a true potentate...

— This is not a comic book! — Mirai sighed. — that leaves Raymond, who at least looks more responsible...

Glory said nothing. Lex told.

— Oh, then Glow's on the jet with me.

— What else? — Glory said, and then walked over to the jet, pressing a few buttons under it. A high-tech motorcycle flew out of the compartment and immediately assembled. Mirai asked accusingly.

— How do you know the password?

— You need to sleep less...

Lex shouted.

— I'm driving!

Mirai sighed again and approached Ray with the tablet.

— So look, here are all the instructions, follow them strictly. If the panels turn red, then calmly fix the problem, as a last resort, contact me and that's it... fire extinguisher... I hope it won't be necessary.

Mirai went into the jet, and Ray started sorting through the notes on the tablet. Glory came up and whispered.

— If anything, don't put it out right away... let me warm up, with the cold as well. And yes, if it's all wrong, but just remind her who she is and that's it. Okay, I'm off... and then he held out a comic book with a picture of a ninja in a green suit.

At this time, Lex was talking to Fleur.

— Well, that's it, I went on a bike.

— Well, drive, drive on the road and traffic jams. And I'm just flying through the air on a super-high-speed jet. Good luck!

Everyone was distributed among the vehicles. Ray pressed the button and the elevator started. A jet and a motorcycle appeared on the street from the scene that unfolded..

Lex started the bike and they shot forward, while Mirai steered the jet in the other direction.

Raymond picked up the fire extinguisher, looked at the cover of the comic, rolled it into a tube and put it in his pocket. The guy entered the elevator, attaching a purple card on the interface, two new floors were displayed. He chose "-3", the doors closed and the elevator started moving.

An unknown laboratory.

The elevator opened, and a man in trousers and a raincoat got out. Passing through the lighted gray corridor, he went to the right to a large protected door. After opening it, the man changed his raincoat into a bathrobe, went through disinfection and got into a large surveillance room where there were computers and people working behind them. A large panoramic window overlooked another room, in the center of which stood a structure resembling a white arch. The man asked.

— Well, show me what you wanted...

A plump man with a beard and glasses turned on a toggle switch. A filling indicator was displayed on the monitor screen. When he reached the top, the arch began to make sounds and gradually emit particles of light. But after that, they disappeared, the sounds stopped, and the indicator gradually showed a decrease in energy. The man asked.

— What happened to him? Why did you stop?

— Sir, you see, there is a lot of energy, it is enough, but it is not the same.

— Hmm... So the one we got is not enough...

— But there is still a way to replace it...

The man looked at the scientist accusingly.

— I told you, she's still needed for someone else. Moreover, only one will not be enough...

City.

Lex and Glory were driving along the road. Lex asked.

— Where should we go?

— To the bank.

Glory used his watch to transfer the route to his destination to the motorcycle's dashboard.

They arrived at the bank. We changed our clothes with the help of a watch and went inside.

Lex asked.

— What are we doing here?

— He was robbed recently, but we couldn't figure out who and how, so here we are.

The guys got up to the machine with coupons. Lex asked again.

— Why do we need a ticket?

— To approach the banker...

Lex grabbed the ticket and went to the windows. Pushing the man off, he put the ticket on the table with the words.

— "P-6" we have questions about the security of your bank...

The banker was initially indignant, but nevertheless accepted the voucher.

— What exactly are you interested in?

Glory came up and said.

— Have you been robbed recently?

The woman said nothing, but looked around and said.

— We don't usually talk about it... here. Come with me.

Leaving the "Break" sign, she led the guys to the VIP room.

Lex whispered.

— She's bored, since she listened to us at all.

VIP room.

— It is not customary to discuss this, because our bank has a reputation as one of the most reliable. Here's some coffee, by the way, aren't you from the police?

Lex smiled. Glory, picking up a cup.

— Kind of...

— Anyway, it happened just a couple of days ago. Right at the end of my shift, money suddenly starts disappearing from the safe in the evening, but no one saw the thief.

The guys exchanged glances, Glory drank his coffee and spat it into the trash, making a face. The woman continued.

— The staff reviewed the video recordings from the surveillance camera, but it's the same story...

Lex in a serious voice.

— Can we see the recordings?

— Yes, of course, follow me...

The woman led the boys to the second floor. Glory said sarcastically.

— I didn't know you could be serious.

— Well, if this is the case, we need to solve it, we need to behave professionally here. How's the coffee, by the way?

— The hat is full...

Glory handed over the cup, and Lex, after tasting it, completely emptied it.

Walking along the second floor, they entered the security room, where two men were sitting, one of whom was watching the monitors, and the other was reading a newspaper.

The banker explained the situation and they turned on the recording of that day. It showed how the safe suddenly opened on a weekday and money and other valuables simply began to evaporate from it.

The woman spoke.

— Can you explain what it is?

Lex assumed different things, but Glory looked at the back of the newspaper, which had news about a series of robberies. Then the kid spoke.

— I get it. Let's go...

— Where to?

The woman asked.

— Wait, what about the thief?

Glory picked up the newspaper and said.

— Don't worry, we'll catch the thief and he'll get what he deserves!
