Grand Line – Paradise

Alabasta – Katorea

"What? What does he think he's doing?", frowning deeply, Koza exclaims in surprise before grabbing his glasses from the table and hurriedly heading toward the exit of the tent.

Completely confused about what Koza was doing, Vivi runs after him and asks, stopping him at the entrance of the tent, "Wait, Koza! Where are you going?"

"To see what your father has to say", Koza says firmly, turning to his officer who came to inform him and asking him to prepare a horse for him.

"But what about what we were discussing? You have to stop this rebellion", frowning, Vivi asks. It wasn't possible that this idiot would just leave like that.

Letting out a tired sigh, Koza says before turning around and leaving the tent, "Look, Vivi! We'll talk about this later, what just came up is more important", this appearance of King Cobra in Nanohana was more important than a story that was probably made up.

"How is this more important than a fucking conspiracy that could destroy the whole kingdom, you idiot?... Urgh, why won't he listen to me?", Vivi yells angrily as she runs out of the tent after Koza. A few seconds later, she returns inside, grunting in frustration.

"Because he doesn't believe you", Robin answers Vivi's question directly. It might hurt a little to hear that, but it was the truth.

Being guided to an empty chair by Nami, Vivi sits down and asks with a sigh, covering her face with her hands, "He's only going to believe it when he sees proof, right?"

"It's not your fault, Vivi! Some people are just that stubborn", Sanji comments supportively, lighting a cigarette and taking a drag.

"If he needs proof, we'll give him one, simple as that", Ace comments with a confident smile.

"I only know one thing, staying here waiting for him to come back is going to be a huge waste of time", Usopp suddenly comments, giving his opinion on the situation.

Straightening up in her chair, Vivi says with a sigh before standing up and starting to head toward the exit of the tent, "Let's go after him, this thing about my father being in Nanohana sounds strange too."

Leaving the tent, the group sees that crowd of rebels from before, larger than when they entered.

The crowd's attention was somewhat divided between two places. Part of them was watching Koza hurrying away in the distance, while the other part still had their eyes on the Straw Hats.

Sensing Koza in the distance with her Observation, Nami taps Vivi on the shoulder and gestures with her head toward where the rebel leader went.

Understanding what the navigator meant intuitively, Vivi and the rest of the group start walking in the direction Koza went, only to be blocked by the crowd.

Only now, finding themselves surrounded while trying to move toward Koza, do they hear the crowd talking and murmuring among themselves.

"Could it be true?"

"But the Princess has always been on the people's side, even against her own father."

Amid the crowd, Baroque Works agents incite chaos, just as they had been doing for the past few minutes. "Can't you see, or are you blind? King Cobra was spotted in Nanohana; he's definitely going to do something bad there! And now, out of absolutely nowhere, the Princess shows up here? This can't be a simple coincidence."

"That's right, the Princess must be on her father's side!"

"Even the Princess abandoned us!"

"Princess Vivi, please answer us, is that true?", one of the innocent rebels lightly grabs Vivi's arm and asks with a furrowed brow.

Stopping, Vivi turns and says with a frown as the rebel releases her arm upon realizing he had her attention, "What? No, my father is innocent, this whole drought is Crocodile's doing..."

Without giving Vivi time to continue, an infiltrated Baroque Works agent shouts from the middle of the crowd, "That's a lie! Sir Crocodile is a hero, he's loved by the people!"

Frowning, Robin leans toward Nami and quietly comments, "I'm sure those are Baroque Works agents infiltrated in the crowd saying that."

"Got it...", Nami nods in understanding before leaning toward Vivi and saying, "Vivi! Trying to convince a crowd in the middle of this chaos won't work; we have to keep moving if we want to catch up to your friend."

Seeing Vivi and the Straw Hats trying to move away, one of the rebels audibly asks for everyone to hear, "Where are you going, Princess?"

"I need to continue my conversation with Koza", Vivi answers with an apologetic look as she makes her way through the crowd.

"That's a lie! She's running away from giving an explanation; she only came here to mess up our cause", a voice shouts from within the crowd, one of the Baroque Works agents trying to stir up even more chaos.

"I'm sorry, Princess! But you're not leaving here until you explain yourselves properly", a group of rebels firmly blocks Vivi and the Straw Hats, determined to stop them from advancing any further.

"Go on ahead, I'll handle this", Sanji says, stopping in his tracks before throwing his cigarette to the ground and putting it out with his foot. He was confident that he could handle the entire rebel army by himself.

Glancing briefly at Sanji, Ace stops and says, adjusting his hat on his head, "I'll stay to help Sanji and Zoro."

Chouchou, who until now had been in his normal small form, moves a little ahead of the group before quickly growing in size, entering his hybrid form, and pushing the crowd around him back with a strong shove, which clears a path for the rest of the group. "Woof, woof woof!" "Get on, you three!"

"Chouchou's telling us to get on", Chopper turns to Robin and Vivi and says before running toward Chouchou.

Acting with relative quickness, Vivi follows behind Robin, who moved first, and both climb onto Chouchou's back along with Chopper.

Not even a second later, the Straw Hats vanish using Soru, leaving only Sanji and Ace behind.

"What?"

"Where did they go?"

Completely confused, the crowd looks around for Vivi and her friends, only for their eyes to settle on Ace and Sanji when they can't find the rest of the group.

"This would be pretty scary if I wasn't sure I'm stronger than all of them put together", Ace comments with a smile on his face.

Dozens of pairs of eyes were glued to them; it was at least an unsettling scene, and the palpable tension in the air didn't help at all.

"Where did Princess Vivi go?"

"What are you plotting?"

The voices start growing louder and more accusatory; it seemed that anger was beginning to take over the people.

"This is going to turn into a fight, isn't it?", Sanji asks rhetorically; he already knew what was going to happen, it always ended in a fight.

"Answer the questions."

"Let's capture them first, we'll ask questions later."

The loud voices are replaced by angry screams, all of them directed at the only two foreign figures present in the place.

Completely calm, Ace asks without turning to the cook, "You in the mood to try talking to them?"

"Nah, too much work!", Sanji replies with a huff.

"Then we knock them all out and leave the explaining and all that shit to the rest of the crew", Ace says, shrugging. That was faster than trying to explain things to an angry crowd that would only grow in size as time passed.

Agreeing, Sanji cracks his neck as he asks, "Basically that! So, want to bet who takes down more?"

"You know that with just one pulse of my Conqueror's Haki, I can knock everyone out quickly, right?", turning his gaze to Sanji, Ace asks with a raised eyebrow.

"And where's the fun in that?", Sanji retorts with a smile.

"It's efficient", Ace says, not really in the mood to fight weak people.

"You're Luffy's brother, and I'm part of his crew, since when does 'efficient' belong in our vocabulary?", Sanji asks with a grin, liking the idea of fighting an entire army, no matter how weak they were.

"You'd rather waste our time playing around with these people instead of finishing things quickly here so we can go help Zoro or the rest of the group?", Ace asks sincerely, making Sanji thoughtful.

"... Fine, you made a good point! Knock everyone out", after a few seconds of silence, Sanji nods, agreeing to finish things quickly so they could go help the crew in Nanohana. Not even thinking about helping Zoro, the swordsman could go to hell.

While that conversation was going on, the crowd began to approach the two with the intention of capturing them.

However, as they get closer, Ace releases a Conqueror's Haki pulse that quickly sweeps through the entire rebel base, knocking out not only the crowd surrounding them but also the entire contingent of rebels present at the base.

Seeing the crowd surrounding them rolling their eyes and foaming at the mouth before falling to the ground unconscious, Sanji asks, already accustomed to Conqueror's Haki pulses of this level, "Alright, now what? What do we do?"

"You'll help Zoro while I check if the guys who went after the rebel leader need help with anything", Ace says, quickly thinking of a plan of action.

Letting out an annoyed huff, Sanji asks irritably, "Why do I always have to team up with that shithead, huh?"

"I don't know... anyway, be careful", Ace says with a shrug before disappearing using Soru.

"Great, why do I have to deal with that damn sword sucker?", grumbling indignantly, Sanji mutters to himself before disappearing using Soru.

=Scene Break=

While all that was happening at the base, Koza, who was galloping at full speed through the desert toward Nanohana, suddenly pulls his horse's reins, skidding to a stop. In front of him, Vivi and the Straw Hats were waiting, blocking his path.

Quickly calming his horse, which had been startled by the presence of a giant wolf larger than itself, Koza raises his voice in confusion at their sudden appearance, "What the hell? How did you get here so fast?"

"We're faster than you, that's all!", Usopp comments from afar, shrugging.

"How… you know what, never mind! I don't have time to talk to you right now, I need to get to Nanohana", Koza seemed like he wanted to ask something, but decided to drop the subject and continue on his way.

Seeing that it would be useless to try to argue with that hardhead, Vivi grunts before saying, "... Urgh, fine! Send your horse back to camp, we'll give you a ride, it'll be faster that way."

"You're going to give me a ride? Why?", stopping again, Koza asks, confused by Vivi's attitude.

Shrugging, Vivi says sarcastically, "I don't know, maybe it's because you're stubborn and think that going to see the king's speech is more important than ending this pointless rebellion!"

"It's more important precisely because I don't know if what you told me is true or not", Koza retorts energetically.

"So my word means nothing to you?", Vivi asks, astonished by what she just heard.

"That's not what I meant, Vivi", Koza says, trying to correct himself when he realizes the shit he just said.

Raising her hand, Vivi stops him before saying with a sigh, "No, it's fine! You want proof, right? Then we'll give you proof!", she then gestures for Koza to come closer so they can get moving, "Now let's finish this quickly, I also find it strange that my father suddenly appeared in Nanohana."

"You don't know the reason your father is in Nanohana?", Koza asks as he dismounts his horse, furrowing his brow at this information.

"I arrived on the island yesterday. I haven't had time to meet my father yet! I sent him a letter this morning explaining everything I know; it must have reached him by now! His appearance in Nanohana could be to talk about the information I sent, but if that's why he came, then things don't add up! There's no way he could have received the letter today and already arrived here on the same day", Vivi responds, furrowing her brow as she thinks about the strangeness of her father's sudden appearance in Nanohana.
