Third-person POV
Seraphina was still lying stiffly in Electra's arms, not sure how she was supposed to get out of the uncomfortable position she had somehow ended up in. The room had become painfully quiet after Electra pulled her to the bed and wrapped her arms around her, and now the only thing Seraphina could hear clearly was the sound of Electra's breathing against her shoulder. At first, the breathing had been uneven and strained, but slowly, little by little, it had started to calm down, and that alone told Seraphina that what they were doing was helping Electra feel better.
Knowing that should have made her feel relieved, and honestly, a part of her did feel relieved because ever since Irina called her in Varynthia and explained how sick Electra had become, fear had been eating away at her nonstop, but despite being glad that Electra seemed calmer now, Seraphina still could not stop the uncomfortable restlessness crawling under her skin.
She felt trapped.
