Nikloai placed his hand on the cold, reinforced glass as Kumiko and Hikari both slept peacefully in the well-protected VIP room. With thick metal doors and a wall reinforced to take the force of a Great Elder's physical might, he could take a breath to relax.
'She looked exhausted...'
When he saw Kumiko in such a state, Nikolai couldn't accept his lovely wife pushing herself to keep him company.
So after a short time together, he chose to leave, for her sake.
"Miranda." He called out to the nervous-looking doctor behind him. She clung to her datapad while peeking over the top, but Nikolai caught a glimpse of her reflection and decided to break the awkward silence.
"Y-Yes, My Lord?"
After meeting a second time, she no longer displayed her needlessly seductive actions or tone but rather became more candid and professional.
To this sudden change, Nikolai welcomed it fully and couldn't help but smile at this fact, before glancing back at her over his shoulder.
