Darkness. Pitch black
Then light. A white room
Alternating between these sequences, their souls stay afloat in the void like realm. Unable to interact with the world in any form other sight and hearing. Though both are rendered moot due to the lack of sound travelling through the expanse and the only light they could see is the alternation between the dark room and the white room in an unknown amount of time. Communication in this vast realm was rendered useless as their vocal chords seem to be unusable.
Suddenly, an earthquake passes through the void and they all hear a voice.
"I am here to collect your souls if you seek rebirth. If your answer to my question is positive… reply to my call. You have 5 seconds"
This voice seemed to have brought back their sense of speech.
Immediately, all three girls answered back.
"Yes"
"Agreed"
"Let's see what's going on"
With their agreement stated, a vortex surrounded their souls and pulled them towards a white room. Except this time, there seemed to be some sort of floor and their souls weren't floating. They could now see, hear, speak, feel and taste. They may have their sense of smell too but the room they reside in has no form of air or smell for them to test their hypothesis on. Even smelling themselves is rendered useless as they seemed to smell nothing.
Finally deciding to survey their environment in detail, they noticed something they didn't notice before in their quick skim through their surroundings. A man with purple hair and glass colored eyes. Wearing a regal golden robe, he seemed to be giving off the impression of an immortal.
Ascending from his throne, his steps seemed to shake the foundation upon which the white room was built.
"Humans from earth… I have summoned you here for a crucial task."
His voice seems to be telling a decree upon their souls. While nothing of such was occurring with them, it seemed to have the same effect.
"By the heavens, I am known as 'fate breaker'. I have summoned you here so as you can change the fate of a world doomed to be destroyed and exploded into fragments"
This shock pulled them out of their trance as for the first time, they looked at the man with something other than reverence, astonishment.
"Excuse me!" alia basically screamed.
"Yes?"
"Excuse me for my bluntness and following crass words but what the hell are you talking about? There is no way we can stop that and where the hell are you planning on sending us?"
"Good question… I am planning on sending you to the world of Erethra. I believe you have read about it in the story 'the omnipotent hero'"
"Wait really?" this time, it was sienna who quipped in in shock
"Yes… I will reincarnate you in a body with your memories intact but after that you are on your own. I want you to battle against fate and change the storyline and plot of the world and yes, the story is a world of its own based on the author's will"
This came as a surprise to them which was obvious from their jaws hanging open
"Whoa… wait. Why can't you do it? You seem powerful" alia questioned after a moment of surprise
"There are things in the universe that are better left unknown. It will trouble you more than help you. What then is your answer?"
"Hmm" with a hand on her chin in a contemplative fashion. Alia looked towards sienna and Katherine seeking approval or decline and upon seeing their nod of approval, she replied.
"Fine… we agree"
"Great… I will send you there at once"
"Wait… don't we get some sort of starter pack"
"Hmm… call out 'status open' to open your status board… goodbye"
With a flick of his hand before alia could protest, all girls were surrounded by a flash of light and teleported out of there.
Seeing their disappearance, he walked over to his silver and platinum colored throne and leaned on it. Gazing solemnly at the girls' previous positions. He muttered.
"I wish you luck… {Sigh} I don't have much chances or time"
