Chapter 4 - Yaria

"Husband?" Kai echoed, looking at the female barbarian in disbelief.

"Wrestling is our way of finding a mate," she explained. "When a male proposes to a female, he must defeat her in wrestling if he wants to mate."

"Like hell I knew that," Kai thought to himself, bewildered by the unexpected turn of events.

"But I don't even know your name," he said aloud, trying to process the situation.

"My name is Yaria. What, do you not want to respect our tradition?" Yaria's tone grew sharp, and the other barbarians' eyes turned hostile, their respect for their culture evident in their expressions.

Kai quickly assessed the situation. Disrespecting their tradition would mean losing their trust and possibly his life. And why would he want to disrespect their tradition? Getting a hot, muscular wife in another world? Why not, he thought.

"No way I would disrespect your tradition. It's my pleasure to have you as my wife," Kai declared, stepping forward and boldly hugging Yaria's waist.

It had been his dream for a long time to have a girlfriend, but with how busy he was with work, it had never happened. Many of the girls he knew were never interested in him, seeing him as just a poor bloke.

Or you can just say that he is poor unexperienced horny man,

"Wow, you're aggressive, not like the usual pussy humans," Yaria said with a mischievous grin. Then, as if to match Kai's boldness, she suddenly kissed him on the lips.

Kai was taken aback but quickly reciprocated his heart racing. The kiss was intense and filled with unexpected passion.

Seeing Yaria and Kai kissing, all the barbarians erupted in a war cry, their voices echoing through the base as they chanted Kai and Yaria's names.

"WHOOAAA, Yaria!"

"AUHHHH, Kai!"

"Yaria!"

"Kai!"

The kiss continued amidst the deafening chants of the barbarians. When Kai and Yaria finally broke apart, the chanting stopped, leaving an electrifying silence in its wake.

"Well, let me show you this place," Kai said, his hand still resting on Yaria's waist. She smiled and nodded, clearly enjoying his touch.

Kai led the hundreds of barbarians on a tour of the base, pointing out the barracks and the training field. As they walked, he noticed the awe and curiosity in their eyes. This was their new home, and he was their leader.

After showing them around, Kai addressed the crowd. "Do not cross the gate to my world without my permission, and make sure nothing passes through the gate without my say-so."

All the barbarians looked at Yaria when they saw Yaria nod her head only then did the other barbarians nod in unison.

Curiosity got the better of him, and he turned to Yaria. "Why do all the barbarians respect you so much?"

Yaria's eyes softened with a hint of pride. "I am the daughter of our previous chief."

Kai wasn't entirely surprised. It made sense that the most beautiful woman would be related to the leader, whether as his wife or daughter.

After finishing the tour, Yaria leaned in close and said, "Let's celebrate our union with my people."

Kai hesitated, feeling a wave of embarrassment. "But I don't have any supplies right now," he admitted. He was the leader of the base, but he had nothing to offer. The buildings he had constructed came furnished with necessities, but food and equipment were lacking.

Yaria looked at him, her eyes filled with understanding and patience. Kai's mind raced for a solution. He had an idea, but it was risky and uncertain.

"I do have one solution," Kai thought, "but I'm not sure if it'll work, and it's quite dangerous." The pressure of his new role weighed heavily on him. He needed to find a way to provide for his people and solidify their trust.

Kai dragged Yaria away from the other barbarians and said, "Yaria, can you tell your people to hunt for some meat in the forest?"

But Kai was shocked when Yaria looked at him with an angry expression. He panicked a little, his mind racing for an explanation.

"I'm sorry, Yaria. I didn't prepare enough before reviving all of you," he stammered, feeling the weight of his new responsibilities.

Yaria shook her head and said, "What do you mean 'my people,' Kai? They are already your people. Didn't you say they would work for you?"

Kai felt a rush of embarrassment. She was right. He was their leader now, and he needed to act like one.

"As a leader of the barbarians, you're still lacking," Yaria continued. "You need more confidence, be a bit more forceful, and maybe even a little more vulgar when you speak."

Kai understood now why Yaria had looked at him that way. He still needed time to get used to being a leader. Thankfully, Yaria, as the daughter of the previous chief, had experience with leadership. He hoped she could teach him how to command respect.

Kai nodded at Yaria and then walked toward the other barbarians. He took a deep breath and shouted, "Listen up, fuckers!"

The barbarians all turned to look at him, their attention captured.

"I want twenty of you to hunt some meat for us, and ten people to collect wood and stone for grilling. We're going to have a fucking party tonight!" Kai declared, raising his fist above his head and attempting the war cry he had heard before.

"WHOAAAAA!" All the barbarians yelled with him, their spirits lifted.

Kai walked back to Yaria. "How was it?" he asked, trying to gauge her reaction.

Yaria smiled and said, "Well, it doesn't suit you at all," and then burst into laughter.

Kai shrugged, joining in her laughter. They began to chat about barbarian customs and how they lived. He found Yaria's insights invaluable and felt a growing bond with her.

After ten minutes of talking, a group of twenty barbarians approached him. The one who spoke was the first barbarian who had questioned Kai earlier.

"Chief Kai, we don't have any weapons for hunting. It will lessen our gain," he said.

"What's your name?" Kai asked.

"My name is Yod, Chief," said the towering barbarian. Yod was probably the strongest among them, standing over three meters tall with muscles that would make any bodybuilder envious.

"Well, Yod," Kai said, meeting his eyes, "I don't give a fuck how many animals you catch, but listen here. I want all twenty of you to come back in one piece. Not a single barbarian less. Do you understand what I'm saying?"

Yod nodded, his respect for Kai growing. Kai glanced at Yaria, who gave him a discreet thumbs-up.

Feeling more confident, Kai watched as the hunting party prepared to leave.

After thirty barbarians left the base, Kai looked at Yaria. "Yaria, do you want to see the other side of that gate with me?" he asked.

Yaria smiled and said, "Yes." Kai intentionally didn't tell her anything about Earth, wanting to surprise her. He knew Earth was so different from this world.

Before leaving, Kai spotted five barbarians sitting and chatting with each other. He walked over to them. "I have a task for you," he said. Hearing their chief call them, the five barbarians came toward him.

Three males and two females approached. "Yaria and I will go to the other side of the gate. I want the five of you to watch the gate and not let anyone pass. If you do a good job, I will reward you later," Kai said firmly.

All of them were excited about the promise of a reward. They immediately nodded their heads, their expressions showing their determination to fulfill his orders.

Kai turned to Yaria, feeling a mix of anticipation and excitement. "Are you ready, Yaria?" he asked, extending his hand to her.

Yaria reached out and took his hand, her grip strong and reassuring. "Yes," she replied, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.

As they walked toward the gate, Kai's mind raced with thoughts about how Yaria would react to Earth. The technology, the people, the completely different lifestyle—it was all so foreign compared to her world. He felt a thrill of excitement at the idea of showing her around.

They reached the gate, its shimmering surface reflecting the sunlight. Kai took a deep breath and looked at Yaria.

"Here we go," he said, squeezing her hand.
