"You're back!"
Yu Ling's joyful voice came from the kitchen, and soon she ran out wearing an apron. Without bothering to find a towel to wipe the water from her hands, she dried her hands on her apron and ran over to hug Jian Xi.
"Xiao Xi, my child, you're finally back!" Yu Ling hugged Jian Xi, tears streaming down her face, "You're finally back! Finally..."
Jian Xi stood there dazed as she was embraced. The affection from the elders was overwhelming, and she didn't know how to react.
Such enthusiasm!
"You look like you did when you first returned from abroad. Back then, you were quite distant."
"Really? Maybe that's just my nature..." Jian Xi said awkwardly.
Facing a group of caring family members, with no memories and not knowing how to deal with it, it was really too embarrassing!
"Take your time, no one will hold it against you," Yu Ling said proactively.
