For Sebastian, Naraku shouldn't play tricks in front of him. Therefore, he directly wiped Naraku out of this world, giving him no chance to waste words.
Inuyasha watched Sebastian kill the three of them openly and was stunned for a moment, uncertain of what to do. Although he didn't like those three, Sebastian killed them without any apparent reason. This was the first time he saw Sebastian attacking humans so decisively.
This made Inuyasha stunned, but he didn't ask any questions. After all these years of getting along, Inuyasha knew that Sebastian was not a person who kills innocent people indiscriminately. He understood that Sebastian must have had his reasons.
Unlike Inuyasha, who was somewhat stunned, Tsubaki and Kikyō, on the other side, had no doubts about Sebastian killing the three of them. After watching Sebastian leave, the two of them also departed. To Sebastian, these two girls held absolute trust.
"The three of you still look a little confused. Go outside the city, and you'll find the answer you're seeking," Sebastian said.
Looking at Miyatsu and the others who still stood there with questioning expressions, Sebastian pointed to the hill outside the city. His tone remained calm as he added, "Have you forgotten what Onigumo just said?"
Just now, Onigumo had shared all the plans of his group, including, of course, the thugs lurking outside.
"Let's go." Hearing Sebastian's words, the others bowed and then rushed toward the spot he indicated.
It was already night now, and after the rain cleared, the stars stretched across the sky. Sebastian walked slowly through the streets. Although it was late, the streets were still brightly lit.
Thanks to the various electric lights installed on both sides, the street was as bright as daytime. This was a stark contrast to the remote mountain village from a few years ago. No one was on the street, but it still exuded a peaceful atmosphere.
Walking slowly, Sebastian broke the silence among the three with a light voice, "Don't you have anything to ask?"
"No matter what Brother Sebastian does, Kikyō will trust you!" Kikyō looked up at the stars, her voice clear and sweet, filled with determination. The starlight reflected in her eyes, shining and moving. After a moment of hesitation, she took Sebastian's hand with a peaceful smile on her face.
Seeing Kikyō hold Sebastian's hand, Tsubaki felt a twinge of jealousy. Without hesitation, she quickly grasped Sebastian's other hand. She declared aloud, "Whatever Master tells Tsubaki to do, I will do it! I don't care if it's reasonable or not!"
After speaking, Tsubaki deliberately turned her head to look at Kikyō.
Sebastian, held by both girls, smiled and shook his head at their words. They walked in opposite directions, seemingly intent on splitting him into two. Sebastian couldn't help but show a wry smile.
As the two grew closer, the number of cold wars and hostilities increased over the years. Tsubaki and Kikyō often ignored each other, but such deadlocks usually lasted only a while before they reconciled. Sebastian had long since become accustomed to their previous quarrels.
After Naraku's elimination, Sebastian felt a subtle wave of emotion. The original story's plot involving Naraku's death had been altered; everything would follow a different path. This world would be different, Kagome would no longer be there, and the tragedy would be avoided.
But that was a good thing. At least after Naraku was dealt with, he could live peacefully in this world. He no longer needed to worry about Naraku suddenly appearing to cause trouble. In fact, the world must have been different from his initial impressions long ago, for example, Tsubaki, originally an evil witch, was now his disciple.
Outside the city,
"We were all deceived by that guy," Miroku said as he looked at the group of arrested thieves. Only then did he realize the truth.
He couldn't help but feel emotional when Sebastian suddenly killed those three. They were still puzzled about why Sebastian had attacked an ordinary person. At the time, they believed Naraku's words.
However, once they arrived outside the city and captured and interrogated the thieves hiding in the mountains, all doubts vanished. Naraku intended to use these bandits and thieves to sow chaos, giving him a chance to find treasures.
"How do you think Sensei noticed something was wrong with them?" Miyatsu asked, pouring from his jug before stopping. He shook his head and looked at the two beside him. "With so many people, Sensei not only identified who set the fire but also spotted those lying. His ability is beyond your imagination."
Miroku nodded. "He really is mysterious."
"You're not dead yet," a familiar yet unfamiliar voice suddenly broke in, just as Inuyasha was pondering suspiciously. Following the sound's direction, Inuyasha looked into the distance.
From the shadows of the jungle, a handsome face gradually emerged, silver-white hair, a moon seal on his forehead, two red demon patterns on his cheeks, a white kimono with hexagonal plum patterns floating on it, and brilliant, oppressive golden eyes.
"It's you!" Inuyasha recognized at a glance that the figure was his half-brother, Sesshomaru.
Seeing Sesshomaru riding his two-headed dragon-like mount approaching, Inuyasha clenched his fists, his pupils shrinking. He had always hated Sesshomaru.
