Because today was the last day, I was allowed to take a bath. I was allowed to bathe once every few days, but recently the maid accompanying the bath had been what one might call a "maid who has chewed through both the sour and the sweet," and on top of that probably the spicy as well — an auntie maid. Even for someone like me with an extremely wide strike zone, these were people I would absolutely never make a move on. Thanks to that, the baths finished quickly and efficiently. However, since I still carried the feelings of a Japanese person, I could not feel I had truly bathed unless I soaked in the tub and let out an "Aaaah—!!", so it still took a certain amount of time.
Because I had cut people down, and although it was not obvious, blood spray had gotten on my clothes of course, as well as my hair and skin, I was allowed to bathe at a relatively early hour in the evening. How grateful I was. Probably the first bath of the day.
