Chapter 1031 - Chapter 1031 Technology Makes Hunting Child's Play

Exploding bullets? John Wick, filled with excitement and curiosity, carefully poured out all the explosive rounds from the bullet box.

He counted them and found that there were exactly enough for one magazine per weapon.

The M416 had a 30-round magazine, while each Glock had 17 rounds, adding up to 34 rounds for the two pistols.

While he was muttering about how it seemed excessive to use this kind of firepower—enough to start a small battle—just to kill a second-generation gangster and some thugs and assassins, Sunday reminded him in his ear, "Mr. Wick, a convoy of four vehicles is heading your way. You should start preparing."

Hearing Sunday report that Viggo's men had arrived so quickly, John Wick, though puzzled as to why they didn't wait until midnight to make a move, still swiftly dressed in the new bulletproof suit tailored to accommodate his now bulkier physique.

He pressed a button on the alloy case, prompting the automatic loader inside to start loading three M416 magazines and six Glock 17 magazines.

Fully prepared, John Wick grabbed a pair of binoculars, climbed to the rooftop of the villa, and hid behind the low wall to observe the four SUVs approaching his house.

It wasn't long before the four SUVs stopped a few hundred meters away, and two men wearing tactical jackets got out.

After scanning the two individuals, Sunday immediately reported to William, but William was already in Asgard.

After a quick three-second calculation, Sunday said to John Wick, who had access permissions, "Mr. Wick, I suggest you retreat. The opponents are not ordinary humans."

"I know these people are polar bear special forces. Don't worry; if I can't beat them, I'll leave," John replied.

"No, Mr. Wick, you don't understand. These individuals can no longer be classified as human."

Just as Sunday finished speaking, the two polar bears a few hundred meters away took off their jackets and walked toward a small grove a dozen meters away.

John Wick was still confused when the two polar bears, just as they were entering the woods, suddenly grew thick white fur all over their bodies and transformed into werewolves in just two seconds.

"This, this is..."

"Yes, Mr. Wick, they are werewolves, and judging by their appearance and fur, they are the type unique to the polar bear region. My database has no combat data against these werewolves, so the danger level is unknown."

"Therefore, Mr. Wick, without being able to contact Mr. Devonshire, your authority is insufficient for me to deploy combat robots to eliminate these werewolves. I strongly recommend you retreat to London."

"Go to London?"

While watching the two fast-moving werewolves through a thermal imaging scope, John Wick immediately thought that William had probably designated London as a werewolf no-go zone where Sunday had permission to act proactively.

"Prepare a retreat route and transportation for me."

After saying that to Sunday, John Wick lifted his M416, placed his eye against the multifunctional scope, and saw two fast-moving heat signatures.

"Activate the auto-aim system."

As soon as he spoke, the metal rings on his wrists connected to the smart monocle and the M416, and the weapon began to slightly adjust its aim following his vision.

"Bang," "Bang."

Two shots easily hit the heads of the two fast-moving werewolves over a hundred meters away.

As blood sprayed into the air, the werewolves collapsed and barely twitched before two more crisp gunshots sounded.

"Bang," "Bang." Another bullet into each head, and the werewolves instantly lost consciousness.

"That easy?"

After taking down two werewolves with just four bullets, John Wick asked in disbelief, "With your assistance, as long as I have enough ammunition, I can kill as many of these guys as they send."

He then shifted his aim and peered through the scope at the four SUVs a few hundred meters away.

The werewolves in the vehicles initially dismissed the first two gunshots. But after hearing the second pair, they immediately knew something was wrong.

The four gunshots were too methodical, suggesting that the shooter was confident he had eliminated the targets.

The fact that no further gunshots followed also confirmed that the two werewolves had indeed been killed.

The dozen or so remaining werewolves hurriedly opened their car doors and looked toward the distant villa.

Meanwhile, John Wick, having already swapped to magazines loaded with explosive rounds, lifted his M416 and reactivated auto-aim.

"Rat-tat-tat, rat-tat-tat."

In four short bursts of three-round bursts, the four SUVs were instantly blown apart by massive explosions, and waves of heat swept across the area.

The shockwaves hurled the surviving polar bear operatives ten meters through the air, burning their bodies severely.

The four drivers who hadn't gotten out were immediately turned into human torches, dying within seconds without even being able to scream.

Seeing the results, the normally taciturn and expressionless John Wick couldn't help but let out a low, excited cheer. "Yes!"

"Awooooo!"

One werewolf, driven mad by the pain, lifted his head and howled.

The latest novel was first published on Six Nine Book Bar!

But before he could finish his howl, a bullet pierced his chest, followed by a violent explosion that left a gaping bloody hole.

"Boom, boom, boom." In an instant, the air was filled with explosions as John Wick systematically finished off any werewolf that hadn't taken cover.

In less than thirty seconds, nine werewolves were blown apart by explosive rounds.

The only survivor was so terrified he cowered behind cover, not daring to move a muscle, afraid that even the slightest exposure would trigger another lethal barrage.

The fierce explosions soon drew the attention of the town's police, and even the FBI in New York was alerted, dispatching a tactical team by helicopter.

Hearing the approaching sirens, John Wick knew that if he didn't leave immediately, he would be taken to the police station.

Once inside a station, it would only benefit Viggo, the East Coast gray gang boss.

Quickly heading downstairs, he packed the M416 into the alloy case, grabbed it, and left his house.

Following Sunday's guidance, he ran a few hundred meters and found a taxi parked on the roadside.

"Continental Hotel, New York, please."

The taxi driver was about to throw John Wick out, but when he saw the Continental Hotel gold coin offered to him, he paused.

After a brief moment of surprise, the driver took the coin and said, "Please fasten your seatbelt, sir."

Hearing the driver's words, John Wick finally relaxed.

Half of New York's taxi drivers were under the control of Abram Tarasov, who for years had served as the hotel's chauffeur for its members.

Thus, John Wick had about a fifty percent chance of encountering a driver who recognized the Continental Hotel gold coin.

Thanks to Sunday's constant updates, he encountered no unexpected trouble on his way.

Forty minutes later, the taxi arrived at the Continental Hotel in New York as planned.

Carrying the case into the hotel, John Wick knew he was now safe from anyone trying to grab him.

As he passed through the hotel lobby, several middle-aged men sitting on the lounge sofas stared at him in surprise, and the previously lively lobby quieted down noticeably.

The hotel's lobby manager, the black man Charon, looked up in confusion. Upon seeing John Wick, he paused for a moment, then broke into a smile and said, "Very glad to see you again, Mr. Wick."
