~After 2 minutes~
*Just how long is he planning on staring at her?*
Alex finally snapped out of it when a certain red head appeared in front of us. Erick Blaze was undeniably blinding in his suit. He put his arm around Alex's shoulder and earned a glare from Alex.
Erick immediately withdrew his arm when he saw Alex's glare. "Ahem, I see that the Young lady Dandelion also decided to come." Erick said with a sweet voice as he looked at me.
*What's this? When they try to talk to Alex and get a cold response they try to talk to me. And what "decided" I didn't have a choice at all.*
Alex started walking towards Hail's direction and walked past Erick. I was about to follow Alex until I saw Erick go after him.
*He did say "Stick to me the whole time, sister" but no way I'll stick to him with that Blaze wizard around.*
I glanced around and saw cold stares so in short, everyone here isn't very fond of Alexandria. So I shrugged and went to a table to grab a drink.
I grabbed a glass of red wine and took a gulp of it. It's taste was one of a kind. After all, the Sapphire Dukedom is known for their exquisite wines that are served during events. And I have to say that this one was indeed a fancy. Yet, they never sale this one, "𝕁𝕦𝕝𝕝𝕚𝕖𝕥" wine only appears during Sapphire Dukedom's event. Due to that reason, tons of people wish to be invited to this banquet just so they could get a taste of this wine.
*As I remember, I have a garbage of an alcohol tolerance. But since it's Alexandria we're talking about, she could probably drink a whole wine cellar and not get drunk. And I'm not even exaggerating.*
I looked at Alex and sighed. He was smiling sweetly at Hail without restraint. It's a very rare sight, truly. He only smiles like that when he's with Hail, as if she's his only happiness. It's different with his family because in his family, it's more of a duty. When he's with Hail, he feels light and warm and he's instantly at ease.
Even though he promised he'd watch over me... Fyi, I'm not saying I need it. I am 2 years older, but still...
Though the real Alexandria didn't have the courage to say so... But one of the huge reasons why she was jealous of Hail was due to her brother, she wanted attention and affection so bad to the point that she didn't care if she'll get it using evil ways. Added by the person she admires liking the person she already hates, she became more wicked until it reached to the extent where she became the villainess...
I'm the author, and I know my characters like the back of my hand. That's why it somehow pains me to see everyone is ignoring Alexandria and rush to Hail everytime. And right now, it's like my heart has it's own feelings...
*Oh, it's the real Alexandria's feelings... This is how she felt everytime she saw Hail... It's pitiful...*
I took another sip of red wine to wash away the feeling of heaviness in my heart. Alexandria was emotional, but to think it was this much... Maybe I went too far with creating the novel like this?.. I wish I could turn back time and go back to my old life and redo this...
*Oh.*
I immediately paused.
*Boy, oh boy. I'm starting to regret. This is bad! I've never regretted a thing in my life! That might make me heartless but it was the way it is! Seriously, did I get transmigrated here to make me feel guilty for writing such tragic things?*
I sighed and sipped my red wine again. I looked around and saw people staring at the door with anticipating looks.
"The young duke, Luke Graham of the Graham Duchy!" The guard on the side of the door announced.
I glanced at the entrance and saw the male lead. And one word immediately came to my mind.
*Heartstealer. Tsk,tsk. And looking at these girls, they're definitely willing victims. Luke's feature's is a crime. Wait, I made him so... Eh, nevermind.*
I thought as I glanced around seeing many ladies blush. Even the obviously married ones.
I glanced back at Luke, he was staring dreamily at Hail.
*Come on. Do they all have to have the same expression everytime they see Hail?...Oh yeah, I wrote it that way. It's kinda cringe now that I think about it.*
He felt my stare and immediately locked eyes with me and I didn't bother looking away. If it was Alexandria, she wouldn't deny eye contact too. She'd just blush and look at Luke Graham and batt her eyelashes at him. But since I'm not the real Alexandria... I'm not gonna do that, just gonna stare at him to death.
*Hm? What's this?... My cheeks are flushing against my will! Is Alexandria's feelings towards Luke are still registered to this body? Tsk. Troublesome and annoying.*
I immediately looked away with an annoyed expression once I saw his judgy smirk. He completely hates Alexandria.
As soon as I glanced back at his direction, he was already gone and is standing beside Hail and held her hand.
It was funny how Alex was glaring daggers at Luke, I almost laughed. And Erick Blaze is clearly not pleased with all the attention Alex is giving to both Hail and Luke.
Blaze sighed and looked towards my direction. I looked away in an instant when our eyes met.
*He still gives me the chills. I feel uneasy everytime I'm in the same space as him. Though, yes. Alexandria is scared of Blaze because he was scary and now that I see him in person... He is definitely scary.*
He plastered an amused smile and started striding towards me.
*GAH! DON'T COME HERE! Okay, okay. Act cool, act cool, act cool--*
He doesn't particularly hate Alexandria. He was one of the people who couldn't care less about stuffs. But over time, since Alexandria was starting to bother Alex he plotted a way of "getting rid" of Alexandria. But, Alex stopped him and scolded him, 'tis why Alexandria's still alive 'till today.
Alex warned me that Erick knew I had amnesia. And since Erick is clearly grinning ear to ear, he's clearly amused and intrigued.
*Seriously, he's an odd ball.*
Erick Blaze stopped in front of me and smiled. Then he looked straight at my eyes, as if he could see past it.
I felt slightly uncomfortable for some reason. I looked away and sipped my wine.
"Hm? You're not Alex's sister. How come." Erick said intently.
My eyes instinctively widened and I turned my gaze to him.
*What did he mean by that, he knows?..*
He looked at me seriously for a few more seconds before smiling lightly. "You're a hundred roses more beautiful now. Certainly, you must be someone else." He said teasingly.
I looked at him intently and immediately let out a sigh of relief.
*I thought he saw through me. Phew... And is he making fun of my amnesia state? Rude.*
"You're Erick Blaze. Troublesome." I said as dismissively I could so he would scram and to make the 'I'm Alexandria' act a little more convincing. And as gentle as I could so he wouldn't plan on killing me.
Erick laughed and shook his head. "Still knife tongued. A loose head couldn't change as much."
*What does he mean by "A loose head"? It's just amnesia!*
I sipped my wine and looked up at him. "Too sharp?"
"Just right." He said with an amused grin.
I hummed and sipped my wine again.
"I was planning on hunting newly bloomed flowers freely at this banquet. But to my surprise, Alex actually attended it's not like him to do so... Anyway, since he's here, I gotta behave." He said as he looked at Alexander.
He was clearly jealous at how Alex smiled at Hail. But there's nothing he can do about it since he doesn't have the right to be jealous at all.
And at first, Alex was burdened by Erick's feelings since Erick was his vice captain. Though Erick didn't say anything, it was obvious. Eventually, Alex got used to it and learned to simply get annoyed by it. Erick always shows his amusement at Alex's annoyance but he's clearly hurt by it sometimes.
*See? Their lives are just as sad as Alexandria's. So truly, if I'd possesed anyone else it'd be just as tragic.*
"You like him." I said without thinking as I sipped my wine.
*Oppsies, my tongue slipped.*
"Yeah." Erick said with a faint smile.
I glanced at Alex then back at Erick. "You told him yet?"
Alex smirked and looked looked at me then winked. "Why do I need to when it's obvious as day?"
*He had a point. Only a person in denial wouldn't notice his feelings given how obvious they are.*
I nodded at Erick and earned a smile from him, it was playful but genuine. He winked again and head back to Alex and obviously annoyed him, I can see Alex's glare at him from here.
I chuckled unnoticeably at how cute they were.
*So, back to "on guard mode"*
I looked around the place intently and surpringly, the 3rd male lead isn't here yet. But unluckily for me, he was probably just late. He never misses a banquet or event as long as it's from the Sapphire Dukedom. He's obsessed with their wine after all. And of course, to see Hail.
