Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

A shadow falls over the enormous city, which shines brightly from the advanced technology of the era.

"People laugh and idle around as if nothing's wrong, doing nothing. The world is now a pile of crap," says Mite, staring intensely from afar, a look so fierce it was terrifying.

"Don't rush, Mite. We still have time to complete our plan," says Lihey with a wide grin, looking at the enormous city calmly.

A girl arrives and speaks in a calm but frightening voice, "I hope you have everything ready."

"Don't you trust us, huh?" Mite asks, rising from the ground, never taking his intense gaze off the city.

AT THE MAIN BASE OF HILART CITY

Soldiers walk around normally, with robots moving among them, all armed. Suddenly, an explosion is heard, alerting everyone. The soldiers start running, and the robots activate an alert state, red lights flashing in the base.

"Commander, we are under attack," says one of the soldiers to the commander, who is staring at a large blue screen. The commander rises, grabs two nearby weapons, and hands one to the soldier.

"Swear to me?" the commander says before running to the battlefield.

Suddenly, one of the base walls explodes, and Mite and Lihey enter, floating effortlessly with their arms extended and smiling.

"Let's see if your technology can withstand the two gods of destruction," Mite says, passing through a hail of bullets as if they were nothing. A bunch of armed robots arrive.

"Don't show off, Mite," Lihey says.

"Don't be boring," Mite replies, charging yellow energy in his palm and firing it at the soldiers and robots, causing them to explode. The two pass through the smoke and fire as if nothing, continuing to attack every soldier that appears.

"You're the one showing off," Mite complains.

"It's not my fault I'm better than you," Lihey responds. They continue to pass through the bullets, responding with more powerful energy attacks. The two reach a completely dark room.

"Are you sure it's here?" Lihey asks.

"Yes," Mite says, nodding.

Suddenly, red lights turn on, the doors close, and the commander appears before them.

"You are monsters," the commander says, and suddenly the room explodes. When the smoke clears, Mite's laughter can be heard, followed by Lihey saying, "Us? Monsters?"

Mite continues, "You are the monsters, we are fixing you."

The commander looks horrified. As the smoke clears, he sees their yellow eyes and wide grins. Mite extends his hand towards the commander, sending a blast of air that slams him against the wall. Lihey approaches the wounded commander, grabs him by the neck, and says menacingly, "We, Mite and I, are the gods of destruction, sent by all the gods to restore this world from scratch."

He tightens his fist and pierces the commander's stomach, causing him to turn to ashes. "You can do your part now, Nime."

Nime suddenly appears from the darkness, approaching the two with terrifying purple eyes. "Well done, now it's my turn," Nime says, pulling a black stone from his pocket.

"Don't take too long," Lihey says, joining Mite.

Nime kneels and places the stone on the floor. It embeds itself, turning the room completely dark. Suddenly, a massive beam shoots up from the floor to the atmosphere, turning the world black. But suddenly, a hand grabs the stone. Nime tries to stop it but the hand removes the stone, causing a huge explosion. The city's sirens wail, and everyone starts to evacuate as the city is destroyed.

The world entered a critical state. The survivors hid in an underground base in Tokyo, Japan.

"We failed," says Nime, looking at the massive destruction.

"Partially, the humans are in a critical state," says Lihey.

"We'll report what happened. It's likely they will declare war on us, and we must prepare," Nime says, getting ready to leave.

"We are gods, we don't have to fear mere mortals," Mite says, stopping her.

"The stone was destroyed, it contained something known as Forq. When dispersed, we are in great danger of humans learning to use things like our powers, that's how it works," Nime says. Mite clenches his fists and says, "It will be more fun in a few years."

"In reality, that's not the reason, there's another, but I can't speak of it," Nime thinks as she continues her path with Mite and Lihey.

14 years later

Kira finds himself staring at the palm of his hand, but suddenly he's awakened by an alarm sound. Kira gets up and stretches.

"This is my life now," Kira thinks while putting on his shoes and brushing his teeth, looking at himself in the mirror. He sees his reflection: emerald green eyes and hair half red, half white.

Kira walks around the house stretching, leaves the toothbrush in the sink, and sighs.

"This is what I chose, I hope I won't regret it," he says with a smile. He runs towards the door, grabs a metal handle hanging at the entrance, and puts it on. Suddenly, his outfit changes to a black combat suit.

He runs through the neighborhood at great speed.

"14 years ago, a huge tragedy occurred. I was only 2 years old. I managed to escape with my parents and live with them in a shelter," Kira thinks while still running. "My parents suffered many losses, and after their death a year ago, I joined the Bilers military group in Japan."

Kira enters an alley, jumps on the walls, and lands on the rooftop, looking at where the sun is, seeing the rest of the city, which is extremely different after the incident.

People now with powers and great abilities declared war on the gods, and the battle has lasted for 10 long years. Survival is the most important thing, and people suffer more and more.

"Every day, a lot of people die, and knowing that hurts me," Kira thinks while jumping from rooftop to rooftop. "That's why I trained to join the Bilers, to free humanity from all this," Kira keeps thinking.

He keeps running on the rooftops for a while and then stops at a point, falling back to the ground. He turns to see a huge station where a muscular man with scars on his face and no hair greets him.

"You're 3 minutes late," says the man firmly.

"S-sorry, Mr. Hage," Kira says, a bit embarrassed.

"It doesn't matter, come in."

Hage points inside and Kira enters the place with a smile. Hage gives him a pat on the back and laughs. Kira is pushed further inside by the pat.

"Don't be shy, come in."

Hage steps in front of Kira and says, "This is your new life, enjoy it."

IN THE PRESENT

The same girl with long black hair and red eyes appears behind Kira and hits him on the head.

"Ouch, hey, that hurts," he says, turning around and stepping back, blushing a little.

"Y-you're Mine. Weren't you assigned to another squad?" Kira says, surprised to see her there.

"Don't be an idiot. Hage called me for this squad," Mine says as she continues on her way.

"It's true, I called her because she is also promising," Hage says, giving Kira another hit on the head.

Kira ends up on the floor from the hit, then gets up and yells at Hage, "Hey! Why did you do that?!"

And Hage responds, "It looked fun," and keeps walking. "Follow Mine, you're in the same squad," Hage says.

"Alright, I'll follow her," Kira says, rubbing his head where he was hit before following Mine.
