The house buzzed with voices, colors, and music. Marigold flowers lined the entrance, fairy lights danced on the walls, and laughter echoed in every corner.
Elena stood in her room, dressed in a Wedding Dress.
Alia: Nervous?
Elena: Terrified.
Alia: (smiles) Good. That means it's real.
Lisa entered quietly, holding a Bouquet Of Roses.
(Outside, Jack waits For Elena.)
Bruno: You look like you're about to give an exam
Jack: This is bigger than any exam
(Music starts.Elena walks in)
Jack looks up—and forgets how to breathe
Jack (mind voice): This is it. This is forever.
They stand beside each other. Rings are exchanged.
Jack: (softly, slipping the ring on her finger) I promise to protect your smile. Even on days you forget how.
Elena: (placing the ring on his finger) I promise to stay. Even when life gets hard.
(Applause. Cheers. Tears.)
Lisa watches them, hands folded, eyes closed.
Lisa (mind voice): Thank you, God. They found each other.
Elena instinctively reaches for Jack's hand.
He squeezes it back.
No fear.
No doubt.
Only love.
Priest: Now You May Kiss Your Bride
