Draven descended from the skies like a falling comet.
BOOM!
His landing sent a powerful shockwave rippling across the vast grasslands, bending the grass beneath the force of the impact.
Unlike usual, he wasn't wearing his helmet.
Crackles of lightning danced faintly around his sharp purple eyes as he immediately strode toward the large tree beneath which Alister sat.
Warm afternoon sunlight filtered through the branches overhead, casting shifting patches of gold across the ground.
Without the slightest hesitation, Draven dropped to one knee.
"I pay my respects to the Dragon Overlord."
"Whatever my Lord commands, he need only ask."
A confident smile spread across his face.
"If the time for war has finally come..."
Lightning crackled beside his eyes.
"...then I and my knights stand ever ready."
Alister couldn't help but smile.
He reached forward and lightly tapped Draven on the shoulder.
"Relax."
Draven blinked.
"I merely wished to have a casual conversation."
