Her voice didn't crack. That was the worst of it.

"Of course." Jiang Yunyi's jaw tightened. "I just — I want to make sure he doesn't walk away from this clean. Not after everything he did." She hesitated. "I found out he's been sleeping with his stepmother. And his stepsister."
Feng Suyin went still.
She'd known the shape of the betrayal. Zhang Min's laptop, the files, the documents. She hadn't known the specific details until now. The words sat between them in the stairwell and neither of them moved. The fluorescent hum overhead felt too loud.
