Shu's POV
The next morning was cold at 5:30 a.m., but I was feeling much better. The Peace Treatment from last night had crushed my guilt more and more. Ichiro-nichan's "dark" words had comforted me. So, after making my bed and made a silent Christian Protestant prayer of thanksgiving for this esta mañana (this morning in Spanish and aqueste matin in Occitan), I grabbed a glass of water and gargled the metallic tangy taste of blood from my mouth and tongue in the sink in the restroom. When I looked at my own reflection on the mirror, I no longer saw a monster; it was just a reflected of a recovering me. Remembering the protagonist Elias Phinn from one of my favorite novels, Both of Me, I could easily compare myself to the American boy with dual personalities. "I will love both of me…" I uttered, reciting the line from a papa's journal of the other protagonist Clara of the UK that gave the book's title, "…, both myself and my past, pre-outbreak self…"
I could easily feel worthy of touching my dust-covered, forgotten purple agenda from my first year in university.
However (Sin embargo in Español and Tuttavia in Italian), I couldn't, my friends, at least until everything is over.
So, now slipping back to my room, I opened my black and red, spiral-bound notebook, I turned to the latest blank page and wrote my latest journal log:
"Friday, or Viernes in Spanish and Παρασκευή (Paraskeví) in Greek,
Last night was a recreated ambush scene I wrote like a play or a parte de una película (part of a film in Spanish). Gen-san and others had pulled it off like predators in the wild. I felt more peace coming to me like prodigal children after they had abandoned me when I had fallen morally. I liked Ichiro-nichan's SVD sniper rifle. That was a bold choice for a ninja assassin like him. Also, I wondered if they had a PKP Pencheneg? Oh, man (I wasn't worthy of using the sustituto, or substitute in Spanish in its masculine form, word flip in that kind of sentence), that would be sick as heck (I stopped using the word 'hell' recently). Hehe…
#Recoverymode."
I had a silly habit and literary style of using hashtags from the internet hashtag-ing and applied that to paper journal logs.
This morning will be good for me.
