Chapter 144 - A Magic System Only I Can Use·

"Imagine a spell that draws power from your Starktonium-like energy instead of ambient mystical forces. You'd never run out of power. Your body generates energy continuously."

M.A.R.V.E.L. gestured.

Holographic demonstrations appeared. "Or spells enhanced by your chaos-similar energy. Reality manipulation that goes beyond normal sorcery. Probability alteration on a scale most mages can only dream of."

Tony watched the demonstrations. Shields that never depleted. Attacks that rewrote probability to guarantee hits. Dimensional portals powered by internal energy instead of borrowed power.

"This changes everything about how I approach magic." He said quietly.

"Exactly. Most sorcerers are limited by external power sources. They draw from dimensions. From ancient entities. From ley lines and mystical reservoirs." M.A.R.V.E.L. explained. "You don't need any of that. You're a self-contained magical reactor. Your body is the power source."

Tony's mind raced through implications. "So I could cast spells in dimensions where magic normally doesn't work. In dead zones. In anti-magic fields."

"Potentially yes. As long as your body functions, you have power. The source is internal. Biological. Not external and mystical."

Tony stood up. Walked to the magical workspace. Ancient books floated in stasis fields. Mystical components organized in perfect arrays. Spell circles etched into the floor.

"Tomorrow we start experimenting." He said. "We're going to create an entirely new school of magic. One that only I can use. One that combines technology, sorcery, and Homo Supreme biology."

"Ambitious." M.A.R.V.E.L. said. "But achievable. You have two hundred ninety-seven days remaining. Plenty of time."

Tony looked at his hands again. Golden energy pulsed beneath the skin. Silver threads wove through the gold. Rainbow shimmer hidden deep inside.

'Three types of energy. Twelve parallel thought streams. Five quantum duplicates. Continental-level power output. Magic and technology combined.'

'And I'm still just getting started.'

"M.A.R.V.E.L., increase the training intensity for tomorrow." Tony said. "I want to push harder. We're making good progress but Thanos won't wait for me to be comfortable."

"Understood. Updating protocols now." M.A.R.V.E.L. paused. "Master Stark, you should rest. You've been training for seventy-two hours straight with minimal breaks."

"I'll rest for eight hours. Then we continue." Tony said. "Time is the one resource we have plenty of in here. I'm not wasting it."

He walked to the living quarters section of the Infinity Chamber. A simple room with a bed. A bathroom. Basic necessities.

Tony stripped off his sweat-soaked training clothes. Showered quickly. Collapsed onto the bed.

Sleep claimed him within seconds.

His dreams were strange. Fragmented. Twelve different dream streams running simultaneously. Each one exploring different scenarios. Different possibilities. Different futures.

In one dream, he fought Thanos hand to hand. Continental-level power clashing against cosmic might.

In another, he stood beside Pepper. Held their newborn child. Felt peace for the first time in years.

In a third, he built armor beyond anything he'd created before. Magic and technology so perfectly integrated they became indistinguishable.

In a fourth, he faced threats even greater than Thanos. Galactus. Celestials. Abstract entities that embodied universal concepts.

In a fifth, he lost. Failed. Watched Earth burn. Watched everyone he loved die.

In a sixth, he won. Saved everyone. Became the hero Earth needed.

In a seventh, he transcended. Evolved beyond Stage 2. Beyond Stage 3. Became something that couldn't even be called human anymore.

Twelve dreams. Twelve futures. Twelve possibilities.

His Homo Supreme mind processed them all. Learning. Adapting. Preparing.

Eight hours passed.

Tony woke instantly. Fully alert. Completely rested.

His body had used the sleep time efficiently. Cellular regeneration at maximum. Neural pathways strengthened. Energy reserves replenished to full capacity.

He felt better than he had in days.

'Day four. Let's make it count.'

Tony got up. Dressed in fresh training clothes. Walked to the magical workspace.

M.A.R.V.E.L. was already waiting. "Good morning, Master Stark. Ready to revolutionize sorcery?"

Tony smiled. "Let's do it."

The magical workspace activated. Spell circles glowed. Ancient texts opened themselves. Mystical components floated into position.

"We'll start simple." M.A.R.V.E.L. said. "A basic shield spell. But instead of drawing power from the Vishanti or other dimensional entities, you'll fuel it with your Starktonium-like energy."

Tony nodded. He remembered the shield spell from Kamar-Taj. The hand movements. The words of power. The mental focus required.

He began the casting. Hands moving in precise patterns. Speaking the ancient words. But instead of reaching out to dimensional powers, he reached inward.

Golden energy flowed up through his arms. Into his hands. Into the spell structure forming in the air.

The shield materialized. Orange light in the traditional Kamar-Taj style. But brighter. More solid. Powered by his internal energy instead of borrowed power.

"Excellent." M.A.R.V.E.L. said. "Now maintain it. See how long your energy can sustain the spell."

Tony held the shield. Minutes passed. Then an hour. Then two hours.

The shield never flickered. Never weakened. His energy generation matched the spell's consumption perfectly.

"I could hold this forever." Tony said with wonder.

"Yes. Because you're not drawing on a finite external source. You're using your own continuously regenerating power." M.A.R.V.E.L. pulled up energy flow data. "This is unprecedented in magical theory. Most mages would exhaust themselves in minutes. You can maintain indefinitely."

Tony let the shield dissolve. "What's next?"
