After his daughters fleeced him, Asmodeus decided to place his hopes in the boys. He spotted Lith and beckoned him over.
"Father?"
The taller boy's face lit up as he jogged over in a rush, standing a little over a metre from Asmodeus and glancing at his face with reddened cheeks.
He hesitated for a moment and finally asked, "Do you need something?"
Asmodeus examined his growing son, his tanned skin similar to his mother's, with gold-and-silver chromatic eyes and mottled brown hair. "Come closer, here." He offered his hand, surprised at how fast Lith jumped at the idea.
Lith's face bloomed with a radiant smile.
"Hehe, Father, I missed you."
"Mm, I also missed you, Lith. Have your lessons been going well?"
Although a bit effeminate, Asmodeus didn't judge his sons based on whether they met a certain standard. He did like seeing them happy, though. He also saw Varian and Kaelen glancing at him fleetingly.
"Mm! I'm currently ranked number two in swordsmanship!"
